Slow Villas and Spa: "Wonderful honeymoon get-away"
"My wife and I spent two nights on Gili Air as part of our honeymoon and were very happy with our stay at the Slow Villas. From the welcoming folks at reception to the lovely spa staff, everyone was very nice and accommodating. The island can be quite rustic (i.e., intermittent power loss, transportation by horse-drawn carriage, etc ) but the Slow Villas provide a more modern, luxurious option (private villa and pool) with its own rustic charm (outdoor bathroom, mosquito net, etc). "I stayed overnight at Villa Mathis (lombok room). The room is huge and very beautiful. The decor is sumptuous. My room had an office desk, which is perfect for laptop (work). The restaurant and the gardens/houses are interesting : there are statues, curtains, giant chairs and stone chess boards, as well as reading areas. - So much space!! The gardens are impeccably manicured. The staff is experienced but at the same time they are discreet. Breakfast is huge (too much:) and they have decent coffee. The bungalows are in what they call a ""villa""; grouped around a pool and open space living area. And everywhere you look, you can discover museum-like items.I didn't venture into the other areas but I understand that each bungalow is different. I was in an area called ""maison rouge"". "My wife and I absolutely lover our stay here. I would go as far to stay it is the nicest hotel/resort we have ever stayed in. We chose the villa with your own private hot tub looking out over the gardens - highly recommended! The pool areas are gorgeous and peaceful. The food is all top class... Highlights for me were the coconut waffles for lunch and the meat tapas board for a late lunch. Also live music every night was a nice touch when enjoying dinner and wine. We hired a motorbike but the hotel have a free shuttle to take you in and out of Pai. "I really love this hotel. It's so amazing and wonderful. They have a lot of etnic equipment. Every room has difference style. Here they have equipment from Oei Tiong Ham, the very rich people in 1900. All the staf is kind dan very helpful. some of staf could be a guide for the guest to explain each room, each equipment and others. Like visit a museum. There are a lot of story here. Very recommended hotel if you go to malang. If we have could not stay here. They have melati restaurant which is open 24 hours."Manda De Laos: "Wow, what a great restaurant"

"This has to be one of the best places we have ever been. So relaxing & looked after with great surroundings with also plenty of things to do with the kids. That is what a holiday is all about. The beach is so clear and perfect for kids as is not too deep! The architecture in this resort is breathtaking and the rooms are luxuries. When you walk in you will be amazed! "This is one of my favorite places in the world. As soon as you wade ashore off the long tail boat that drops you off you know your somewhere special. It's a wonderful escape from work, city living and the world. There's nothing to do here but relax. A 10km long beach with pretty much no one on it and beautiful water. Small islands and mangrove swamps to explore by kayak. Beautiful beach homes to kick back in. The option of yoga in the morning and massage any time of day. "Definitely a place to consider when travelling to Kuching. It's 40minutes away from town so do consider renting a car to get about. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even went out of their way to drop us off at the foothills of santubong mountain which is 5minutes away. There's no 24hr concierge but if you inform them on time they will stay up to greet you and even prepare meals if you pre-order. Accommodation is clean. Nice rooms and bathrooms and clean sheets and towels. Breakfast isn't fantastic but there's a variety to fill you up. The others meals at the restaurant were really good."Tugu Lombok: "Paradiso"
This place stunned me. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. The staff was great and very helpful. Every single thing I ate at the resort was a total culinary pleasure. Breakfast on the beach, candlelit dinner on the rooftop, fresh juice by the pool. We went in the down season and it meant that we felt basically alone. Our room and private pool were so enchanting and the recovered and traditional artwork all over the resort really makes this place something special. Probably one of my favourite places I've ever stayed if you just want to escape. There is also a number of interesting things to do around the resort like visiting the Gili Islands or the volcano.
