The Cabochon Hotel: "Our second stay at Cabochon Hotel"

Review by: Malin E | Source: Trip Advisor
"I visited Cabochon with my 9 month old baby when I was travelling with him alone and had the warmest stay on my whole journey. Ten month later I returned together with my husband and son. Nothing had changed. Still, the friendliest care one can ever dream of in a hotel. This hide away makes Bangkok seem calm. I could once again start writing about how I love the interior, the breakfastroom, the food. But still, what ones again stayed in my memory was the throughout friendly, helpful, interested and cool staff. Absolutely one of a kind. Thank you Shaubai and you whole team! Malin, Alex and Lode"

Tugu Bali: "Came for the dancing, stayed for dinner"

Review by: 7exie | Source: Trip Advisor
We had a great time here. We saw the sign when passing looking for an ATM earlier in the day advertising the traditional dancing so decided to come back for dinner. Booking is essential! We got the last table. The dancing was great but the food was the best I’ve had in the week I’ve been here so far. Sure it’s a little pricey by Bali standards but I promise it is worth it! We would definitely come back.

Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Heaven in Mrauk U"

Review by: Mark v | Source: Trip Advisor
From Sittwe, you must take a boat. Please don't think about this as something you need to do before getting to where your holiday starts. Make the boat ride the adventure. Mrauk Oo Princess Resort has a lovely boat, where you and your friends can relax and witness life on the water as you pass by remote villages, pagodas and breathtaking views. We arrived at night with the whole resort lit up by lovely lights. Stunning. The staff was so incredibly friendly and the food was exceptional. I actually prefer Mrauk U to the more touristy Bagan. One has some beautiful archeological sites to visit from Temples to ancient Pagodas. The highlight of my trip was the sunrise and sunset that Mrauk Oo organized for us. I was not sure what to expect, but was up at 5am and was taken by car to a pathway that was a 10 minute hike to a very old Pagoda that had the most amazing view, with only my group around, we got to the top and coffee/tea and croissants were awaiting us, as the sun came up over this beautiful land. Our sunset was from a different location, the climb was a bit steeper but just as rewarding. Champaign was served instead of coffee. I felt very spoilt. For a slice of Myanmar paradise away from the hectic touristy spots, this is by far my favorite place in a long time.

Rakkojae Seoul: "Ticked all the boxes for us"

Review by: gohomemumbai | Source: Trip Advisor
"Thank you Mr Kim for a wonderful stay in your beautiful 130 year old Korean house. After visiting the National Folk Museum (15 minute walk), I felt like we were staying in one of their exhibits. Just the same – amazing. The location at Jongno-gu was perfect as we are into history so we could walk to the two main palaces, as well as Insadong. Meyongdong is just a short taxi ride away or the metro just 5 minutes’ walk. Also the Airport bus is just near the metro Anguk. There are lots of restaurants around, the difficulty is choosing which one. The underfloor heating was very warm and the beds on the floor very comfortable. The Korean bath was a unique experience to us Australians. But the most amazing part of our stay was the Korean breakfasts – both very tasty and something different every day – YUM. We used the sauna once, and it was hot, so if you are into saunas you will be very happy. We only lasted 10 minutes. The service was never intrusive, just a little hello, and someone popped out to see what you wanted. Mr Kim was always willing to help and make suggestions. Access was very easy, but you really have to phone ahead to announce your arrival to get through the front gate. We had our taxi driver call ahead and Mr Kim was waiting outside. Once you have the access code, you can come and go whenever you want. You can also pre-order dinner which we did on arrival night and we were presented with an amazing feast – really a mini buffet of Samgyetang Korean Ginseng Chicken and all the side dishes. An excellent idea after a long flight from London and transfer through the Seoul traffic. Again thank you Mr Kim and your wonderful assistant who made our stay at RakJoJae very comfortable."

Jing’s Residence: "Fabulous hotel"

Review by: sllawhon | Source: Trip Advisor
"Jing's Residence is in the medieval part of PingYao and is beautifully restored. The staff was very gracious and attentive and the food was delicious. I had a wonderful massage that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to PingYao. "

Manukan Island Resort: "Great relaxing break"

Review by: bargain-addict | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed 2 nights in hillside villa 11. Boat trip over and back was included in the room cost. After a small mix up we travelled over on a day trippers boat which was fine. We were welcomed off the boat and taken through to the small reception room and given refresher towels and a drink while doing the paperwork. We knew we wouldn’t be able to get into our room straight away so had come prepared to swim. The pool was lovely and was never busy so we always felt like we were the only ones there. We relaxed on the beach until our room was ready an hour early. The room was amazing, beyond expectations. Everything was modern and clean. We were shown through and informed that the soft drinks in the fridge were complimentary which was a lovely touch. The view from both balconies was incredible and as our room faced away from the jetty we really didn’t even know day trippers were there until we went for a walk. The TV had a range of channels, the air con and fans worked well, and the hot water was easy to use just by turning on the switch half and hour before you wanted to use it. We were surprised to find the food was cheaper than at sutera harbour resort and just as lovely. We only had dinner at the restaurant the first night. The second night we decided to try the cheap take away stall near the beach mid afternoon and then just had snacks for dinner. The food at this stall was ok and really cheap. We had rice with beef and black bean sauce for 7.50rm. Breakfast had 6 items to order from but then they also brought extras to your table including fruit, bread to toast over coals, yogurt, juice and cereal. It was one of the more relaxing and enjoyable breakfasts I have had while travelling and certainly plentiful. We decided to travel to Sapi Island to go on the coral flyer and Ben organised for us to go on one of the island hopper boats. It seemed quite expensive to us but we were ok with that. Unfortunately the Coral flyer was fully booked when we got there but we enjoyed a snorkel and look around Sapi anyway. The internet was intermittent. We managed to log on in the mornings and evenings quite quickly but during the day it seemed more difficult. This didn’t really bother us as it is nice to be without internet and not constantly checking it. The things that we didn’t enjoy about Manukan Island were way beyond the resorts control so would in no way negatively review the resort for them, but here they are. The water was very murky. That was probably the biggest disappointment. I’m guessing that time of year and number of boats can affect that but for us it was almost zero visibility. We were fortunate to see a lot of wildlife, some more friendly than others. We spotted the birds the island is named after on our way back from sunset point as well as some fireflies. We saw a rhinoceros beetle and some geckos on our balcony. We spotted a couple of monitor lizards around the island. Now the not so nice ones. We had a snake go across our balcony but were assured it was harmless and Ben said he has only seen a handful in all his years on the island. Then we had a centipede in our bath. As soon as we informed staff it was gone within 5 minutes which was appreciated. When we left we were walked out to the jetty and put on the resort boat and waved off. Amongst the boards of day trippers this made us feel pretty special. We were the only ones on the boat and the trip back was smooth and easy. Over all I would highly recommend Manukan Island as a lovely relaxing get away, just don’t expect to spend the whole time snorkeling."

MesaStila: "Must-visit place for nature lovers, coffee lovers, & traditional Java-Dutch royal lovers"

Review by: ThiaShadiq | Source: Trip Advisor
We fell in love since we arrived at the gate of Mesa Stila. My older daughter (6 yo) said it's just like her dream castle :) the concierge, lobby, and the villa were beautiful as well as overall resort landscape. The staff's service was impressive & very helpful. We enjoyed the coffee plantation tour, beautiful afternoon tea, bicycle riding for my two-daughters, swimming, and quality breakfast indeed. My daughters did not want to go home after stay, so did I and my husband actually haha. Mesa Stila is exactly the place to spend quality time with your beloved. Thank you for the great service!

Tugu Bali: "Wonderful stay"

Review by: Beatrice Z | Source: Trip Advisor
"My solo trip to Bali was probably the best trip of my life (this says a lot coming from someone who travels to foreign countries quite often) My stay at Tugu is absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for better treatment from the staff, they always made me feel like they were looking after me in an unobtrusive sort of way. The facilities were authentic Balinese style, treatments at the spa were delightful. I highly recommend Tugu to anyone! You'll love their afternoon tea. Stayed April 2017, traveled solo"

Jing’s Residence: "Maybe the nicest hotel I have ever been to"

Review by: ronald s | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a wonderful hotel in a magically preserved town in China, only 3 hours forty minutes from Beijing by bullet train. A UNESCO site. The hotel is superb. You will be treated as a friend, served wonderful food, welcomed in every way. With only 16 glorious rooms (and a spa), this will be the highlight of any trip. I have been to China a number of times, and have always enjoyed the friendly nature of the people, but this hotel took that to a new level. I think it is the best, and unquestionably the nicest, hotel I have ever stayed in. Ms. Yang Jing makes you feel as though she personally invited you. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the warmth of its staff is amazing. Stay a few days and just enjoy"
