Villa Song Saigon: "Truly amazing hotel, elegant, style and great service"

"We wanted a special hotel to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and after lots of searching we found the best in Ho Chi Minh City. You could not fault anything about the hotel from the moment we contacted them to make a reservation to the moment we left in the taxi they arranged for us to return to the airport. We loved the setting, right on the Saigon river where we got to enjoy our breakfast everyday watching the boats go by in the beautiful restaurant and terrace. Chef Kevin is an amazing cook and each meal was mouth watering with lots of local flavours. We had upgraded to a sanctuary villa but found the room a little to small for us so they gave us a better room overlooking the restaurant and river. We loved our new room and the way they handled our disappointment. Please note that all 23 rooms are very different and vary in size, we looked at many as we are coming back in September for my hubbies birthday, we hardly ever go back so that says it all about Villa Song. The highlights of the hotel are the beautiful rooms, gorgeous pool, elegant decor, water setting, private hotel speedboat to the city centre, delightful staff and exceptional food with all day breakfast as well as a very clean environment. Also the local restaurants they recommend were excellent with some lovely locals shops and coffee shops a very short taxi ride away. The hotel is about a good tweet minute taxi ride from district 1 after the speedboat stops about 6pm, it is so worth staying in this beautiful area. All of the staff were very courteous and made our stay out of this world. Cannot wait to go back to one of the best hotels ever. Villa Song Saigon: "Just magic"

To be honest, i couldn't wait to write a review for this place. It was simply wonderful. Right by the river, all day breakfast, comfiest beds ever, amazing staff and an all round warm fuzzy vibe. Every night a member of staff would come and deliver complimentary slices of cake... such a lovely touch! There are free bus and boat rides into the city at various times each day, it only takes about 20 minutes. Theres a pool and gym along with a day spa to make your stay homey. In the end it all came down to the staff, they're all so helpful and happy that is was impossible to have a bad time. 5 stars!

Heritage Suites: "Fantastic find"

This is a beautiful and quiet boutique hotel. It was a pleasure to return to the serenity each day after sightseeing. Our room was lovely and spacious, even considering that it was set up with two extra beds for our children. Although we didn't use it, the private hot tub and garden were a nice added touch. The pool area was also quite nice. We enjoyed the made to order breakfast, as well as cocktails and dinner one evening. We were able to arrange for sightseeing excursions through the hotel that were absolutely amazing, particularly the sunrise over Angkor Wat that we were able to enjoy in complete solitude thanks to our phenomenal guide. Book this hotel - you will not be disappointed!

Tugu Bali: "Loved this hotel!"

"For the record , this is the first time I've ever given a 5 star rating ! This hotel was awesome! Especially the staff . So welcoming and friendly. When we first arrived , the Assistant Manager , Ari greeted us with a welcome beverage and introduction to the hotel . There was a dinner show going on at the time in the lobby so we're able to watch while we waiting for our room to be ready . When we were walking to our room , it was like being in a garden temple , so much culture and greenery and art work , it was like a museum Of Bali culture and art. Nice walkways , bridges , areas to have romantic dinners , etc and close to the beach . I can't say enough about the room! Our own pool! How unexpected! And an out door swing and outdoor bathroom with a fish pond surrounding it. So serene. It was off-season so the hotel is very quiet , no parties or loud music which we loved. They also have a lovely pool area, afternoon tea, cooking lessons, and great restaurants . Our favourite was the outdoor barbecue restaurant overlooking the surf where we had the most perfect view of the sunset . I would definitely highly recommend this hotel , loved it, thank you ."

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Relaxing and 100% natural environment"

Resort is located at the river, you can feel the movement of the stream. As it is surrounded by forest, you can enjoy sound of birds/insects/other animals. Service is excellent, staff is nice and helpful. Luz,the resort manager, introduces all facilities in the resort in very clear way. You can ask her any questions about the resort and she will kindly answer you all. There are no air-cons in the whole resort ,Fans are provided in the lodges and there is breeze,so you will feel very comfortable without any hot feelings. Food provided is mainly western style, taste is ok. Atmosphere of the restaurant is nice , guitar songs(recorded) are played in the restaurant area. You can enjoy swimming,fishing and canoeing in the resort. There are several tours provided in the resort e.g. Tatai waterfall,sunset tour etc. I have chosen trekking in Cardamom mountains areas. It will cost you around 8hrs but you can explore in a rain forest. If you are lucky, you can meet some wildlife during the tour. WiFi is not provided by the resort during my stay,so I have bought a 4G data card by myself in airport , it is from metphone(ISP), signal is downgraded to 2G in the resort area , but it is already enough for whatspp,skype and email. Luz said WiFi will be provided by resort very soon.

Villa Mathis: "Everything about this place is just perfect"

Love to travel but most love staying in unique places. Mathis so far is the most incredible place I have ever stayed in. Each villa is unique and represents different parts of Indonesia. Also each villa has its own pool, place to chill, read, meditate or just play around. The service is amazing. The location is great close everywhere which makes is perfect place to stay in.

Villa Song Saigon: "Is Villa Song as good as before"

We visited Villa Song in May 2015. Our review was a bit gushing but accurate. We finally made it back for our second visit hoping it would be as good.......it is better. If you were to write a handbook as to how to run a 5 Star boutique hotel, start with Villa Song. Nothing is left to chance. The staff are professional, friendly, efficient and so happy. The rooms are stylish and very comfortable. The pool and public areas are excellent. The restaurant puts out superb, beautifully presented food created by Chef Kevin and his brigade - you won't get bored with his brilliant and evolving menu. A guest asked for a drink from the bar that the bar staff were not familiar with. My wife told them the ingredience but before they gave it to the guest, they mixed two and brought them to our room to see which was better before mixing it for their guest.....service? I could go on and on about the hotel. In my first review I said that they treat you like an honored guest. This time we felt like friends. Who knows - next time we may be treated like family and have to make our bed and wash our own dishes...we will still be back as soon as we can. 'Our Second Home'

THE SAMAR: "Back Home"

"Always a great feeling to go back to a place I like. The staff make me feel ""home"" as this is the 3rd time I stay here. Little attentions, smiles.. and this familiar atmosphere, the beautiful dark swimming pool. I travel quite a lot for both work and pleasure, and it is great to have ""harbors"" around, to rest, feel comfortable, recharge... The Samar is one of my harbors. Thanks to all of you!"

Talabgaon Castle: "To Check for my upcoming clients"

"Recently I visited this beautiful tranquil place to check for my clients as a new off-beat place to keep in itinerary or not. It is good quite place for long stays, have beautiful pool, good service, very good food, rooms are clean and nice. A beautiful village, to have walk on village street and evening tea in the town with villagers gossip centre could be the highlight of your trip to this village. Love to go again someday...!!! Tugu Lombok: "A cut above the rest, unique, ultimately relaxing, a 5 star hideaway"

You won't find anywhere quite like it. Private beach, amazing breakfast, dinner - try the rendang and a cocktail before of course. There are no intrusive package deal staff insisting you plan your itinerary for the whole stay or any set times to do anything in fact which is fantastic and makes you relax immediately. The handpicked artifacts and unique design of the hotel make you feel like you're staying in a very cool uncle's private home rather than a resort. The staff are friendly and respectful. If you are lucky enough to be looked after by Ibu Evi you're sure to have a fabulous stay.
