4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A place dreamed come true"
"My first visit to this amazing place was 4 years ago and since then I have been fortunate to be back on two other occasions. The first time was the perfect culmination of my trip to Cambodia and since that time 4 Rivers captivated me with all his charms: the environment, a unique place still intact in the country; the landscape, relaxing, lush and wonderful; the sound, of silence, peace and tranquility that surrounds it; the concept, luxury tents floating in a river in middle of the jungle; the service, attentive to every detail and need; the food, excellent and varied ... Can you ask for more? Try it, and maybe you can see the magic show of fireflies flashing in the night after an amazing nocturnal kayak ride. As I said before, I have been fortunate to be able to return more times to this awesome place and to show my best friends and family this hidden gem of Cambodia. All enjoyed the place and the lodge as I do. If you have the chance, do not doubt. Worth it. "Villa Song Saigon: "Great hotel away from the center"
Colonial villa with smart decor. Lovely big swimming pool. Located next to the river. Enjoyed the complimentary 10 minute boat ride to center of Ho Chi Minh. Excellent restaurant. A la carte extensive breakfast menu in a lovely setting. We had two adjoining rooms with a sitting room inbetween overlooking the river. Third floor no lifts so you needed to be able to manage stairs although I think there were rooms on ground floor. Lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff.David’s Kitchen: "If there were more places like this in the world"
"I wish I could explain the ambience of this restaurant without you experiencing it first hand. I know I can't do it justice with words alone, but for the purpose of the review I'll try: ""crisp table cloths, meet the friendly, wonderful and chatty waiting staff to create a pristine yet comfortable place to enjoy a great meal."" I started with the scallops and I wasn't disappointed. Perfectly cooked and presented, with a wonderful Sauvignon to compliment. For main course I had the steak which was again perfectly cooked and served with some great sides. At this point I was lucky enough to have a chat with the owner, a wonderful man with a great story about how him and his wife created this special place. He explained the dessert menu and I was drawn to the soufflé, given it was accompanied by Prom's home made ice cream it seemed the logical choice. And it was beautiful. If you're looking for fine dining a with a wonderful heart, give this place a try when you're in Chang Mai"Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Expertly guided & amazing hospitality at Yala"
"Wonderful! Look no further if you’re planning a safari to see the leopards of Sri Lanka. Noel and Celine + their crew have years of experience and the depth of knowledge about the park and its wildlife and flora. They have an extraordinary ability to locate and spot animals. We saw leopards 3 days in a row thanks to Sajith’s eagle eyes. Aside from the actual safaris, the accommodation and the food are truly first class. We feel very fortunate to have been introduced to high end Sri Lankan cuisine by Noel and his team - a wonderful variety of curries, sambols, breads and rice dishes. Sri Lankan cuisine is uniquely delicious and varied with an emphasis on freshness and fine spices. Noel’s on-site kitchen is top notch. There are many other safari operators that we considered but Noel’s team takes a very principled approach to the experience that they want to offer their guests. While on safari, we had observed other tour operators acting in cavalier and reckless ways. Noel and his team take a very long term view on conservation and encourages responsible tourism - this is evident in all their practices. We feel extremely privileged to have experienced Yala National Park up close and personal with Noel and his team. We would happily recommend this experience to anyone! 5⭐️"Chakrabongse Villas: "Just one word: unforgetable"
In your next trip to bangkok, don't look no further. It's a small paradise in the middle of this crazy tomorrow. An amazing view to the river with a friendly staff. Just a recommendation: if you would like to have a wonderful dinner by the river you need to book in advance.Pindaya Farm House: "Locally run delight of a hotel."
"Clean, simple rooms in a wonderful location, this small family run hotel is a perfect place to stay. The best food in the whole of our time in Myanmar cooked by our hosts. They offer trekking outings with packed lunch and cookery demonstrations, a real gem. If you want local people to benefit directly from your trip this is the place to stay."Cuca: "Worth the hype. Great lunch – next time dinner"
"We went here after getting a recommendation from someone staying at our hotel in Nusa Dua. We went for lunch and it was. Wet quiet on the midweek day that we went. I think the place would be buzzing for dinner. We sat inside in the Air-conditioning and we were served by great staff who explore menu very well and gave recommendations on how to get the best out of our experience. Drinks and cocktails were awesome and the food was perfect. My 8 year old was well catered for and we had ample food, cocktails and a couple of beers, kids meal which came to about $130. We will definitely go back but for dinner next time."Dewakan: "Was a little skeptical about French cuisine in Malaysia but with chef Darren Teoh – WOW!"
"My sister had booked a birthday dinner for me at Dewakan restaurant- French cuisine with local Malaysian ingredients. Hmmm... I rather have local food, I told her. The reservation is booked & she had given the deposit to ensure the dinner reservation.... sigh... ok... let's try. The restaurant was located at Shah Alam at a school... as for parking, tell the security guard that you are going to the restaurant- there is ample parking as everyone has left the college Ambience- Nice tasteful decor Service- Attentive & Impeccable We had tapa size courses, 12 courses I think. Each course is carefully explained. We even had chef Darren who came out himself to explain the dish to us. At each place setting- you have a menu that tells you the order of the courses. All interesting- there are a couple of ingredients that I would not have tried however it was done in such a way that it was palatable & enjoyable. There are many courses that is just simply WOW! At the end of the meal... I apologized to my sister & thank her for the great recommendation Check their website- apparently the menu does change."The Island Lodge: "Scherer"
"The Island Lodge is a marvellous place! An oasis in the middle of a special place almost a junge beside the river. The view is historic, peaceful and really unique. There is nothing to compare with the Island Lodge in the area! The owner Michel and his wife Francoise are exceptional hosts not because of a necessity but because of a natural true passion to receive their guests with warmth and friendliness. It is a really comfortable feeling after traveling down from the chaos and noise of Ho Chi Minh! Breakfast is á la carte, it is slow and easy going just like the Mekong. Dinner is more or less the same. Lots of choice and lots of taste and just so comfortable. One of the best parts of this residence has to be the interior design. Michel did almost everything himself and if he ever gives up the Hotel business he could certainly try his hand at ID!! He has taste and style which is very seldom in a hotel of this size. Usually boutique hotels get a little Kitsch over load. Not here the attention to detail is impressive and highly soothing just before a early afternoon nap! The pool is big and super practical! And make sure you go with Michel on a bike tour. Probably something that will stay with me for ever for all the right reasons! Don't bother looking at any other place if you want to stay a few days in the Delta "Mie Cafe: "Wonderful experience!"
"A dinner in this restaurant was amazing! The food is interesting, very well presented, and creative! Clear that the chef knows what he is doing! It was a pleasure meeting him and have a little chat. Even the rain didn't ruin the experience, and may be made it even more special. Extremely recommended!"
