Bassac Cruises: "Very enjoyable and better than expected"

We were lucky to have been allocated Bassac 1. I say that because she is an original vessel with fewer cabins than her sister boats and has a very pleasing worn in feel. We were greeted on board by the charming and friendly crew who looked after us very well throughout. Other reviewers have kindly given the details of the various things that you can see on or off the boat but my take is that this is definitely something worth doing. Sitting on deck as the sun sinks below the river is a wonderful experience. We would have happily spent another night on board.

NOEL RODRIGO’S LEOPARD SAFARIS: "Just amazing"

"We are a family of five and have been in several luxury lodges around the world so far and for that matter we are not easy to impress. But, the devotion to fulfill his guests’ expectations as seen in Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safari Camp is hard to mach. Everything is so well organized and you feel special from the first minute you arrive there. Since we are not used to such high temperatures and humidity, we were afraid how we will cope with that, but stepping in to an air-conditioned tent and cold, wet towels as a first thing when you step down from your jeep made our fears totally irrelevant. The tents and amenities are excellent, very clean and safe from bugs. Even if you never stayed in tents before, there is no reason to fear from lack of comfort. The touch of luxury that we found in our Luxury tent was in range of a five star hotel. You cannot admire enough the hard wood furniture and commitment to details that makes this tent an accommodation for royalties. This is a rare lodge where breakfast, lunch and dinner, could compete with any top restaurant (or a million star Michelin as Noel calls it since it's under the amazing starry sky). You can ask for a special menu for kids and if you are celebrating a special occasion, the staff will do their best to make it unforgettable. Even the birthday cake made in a jungle kitchen is not a problem for them.  The staff shows extensive knowledge on all the animals, but having Noel as a guide and driver is incomparable to any other. Noels lodge is a 20 minute drive from the park entrance Block 5, but the jeeps are comfortable and there are interesting things to see even on the way. The landscapes in the park are just breathtaking and beyond this world. The park is a treasure box for a birdwatchers. We love all the animals, but spoting leopard was our goal. Spoting animals in such a thick jungle is very difficult and it's not always easy to find one in an open space. But, Noel has a six sense for it and with him on the wheel, you cannot miss. His years of living in nature and his devotion to leopards taught him how to read signs, leopard footsteps and monkey alarms, to be able to bring his guests to amazing sights of animals in their natural habitat. The respect and love for nature that he and his staff are showing must surely impress you. And the passion he shows when he finds that leopard is just contagious. We saw leopards up close, sloth bears and many other animals, more then we could ever hope for. Of course, a camp like this, has its price and it´s a lot of money, but don't let the price be your main decision factor. In Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard safari camp you are buying something money can't buy - the love and passion for animals and nature and absolute commitment to every wish you might have during your stay in this camp. We returned home with some great pictures, unforgettable memories and I might say, friends for life. Thank you Noel and Cecile for making it happen! "

tugu bali: "High quality hotel with strong historical identity"

"We enjoyed very much Tugu Hotel for the beginning of our honeymoon with my wife, through a three nights stay. The particularity of Tugu Hotel is that it is also a kind of museum with valuable and well designed pieces of furniture, decorations and paintings. Rooms are like small houses with an internal private courtyard and a swimming pool. The garden is also well designed with nice statues coming from ages. The staff is nice: everyone in the hotel knew our names since the beginning for instance. "

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Beautiful food, good service, nice setting"

"We went for dinner, arriving just after opening time, with no reservation. We were lucky and got a table, but virtually all the other tables were reserved! The setting was simple but very comfortable. The service was excellent. We were very impressed by each of the dishes which had strong Thai flavors fused with Western themes. There was an excellent wine list at reasonable prices. An excellent restaurant."

Tugu Bali: "Beautiful Tugu"

There is a delightful languor that hangs over the Hotel Tugu. Canggu is laid back and beachy and casual but the hotel exists in its own little bubble of languid splendor. It takes a little while to surrender yourself to the requisite level of sensual abandon to truly appreciate the place, but try. A cup of ginger or cinnamon tea served in a celadon green tea cup on the veranda whilst you nibble delicious Balinese sweets, a swim in the sparkling pool adorned with fountains or (if you are lucky enough) a refreshing plunge in your own private pool, a long shower or soak in your semi open-air bathroom, while the carp in the adjoining pond look on, a short nap in the enormous four poster teak bed followed by an Arak Exotica as the sun sets over the beach and you should be suitably in the zone. If you are feeling moderately adventurous you can wander around the grounds and appreciate the architecture, art and antiques or poke around the cool, dark museum shop for treasures. It's a gorgeous, delightful, sexy place. I was well looked after.

Misool Eco Resort: "🌴☀️🐟 Рай на земле 🌴☀️🐟"

"Это действительно райское место, земной рай именно там! Отдыхали здесь с мужем и друзьями, первый раз мне не хотелось уезжать домой Отель великолепный, номера - это бунгало на воде, под тобой снуют маленькие акулки и множество прекрасных рыбок. В номере есть все необходимое, холодильник, сейф, кондиционер. Убираются несколько раз в день. Кухня заслуживает особого внимания, завтрак обед и ужин включены в программу. Есть еще второй завтрак и перекус в 5 часов, повар виртуоз, меню за 7 дней нашего пребывания ни разу не повторилось, все очень вкусно и красиво. Блюда приготовлены и оформлены как в хороших ресторанах. Всегда большое количество овощей, для вегетарианцев тоже раздолье. Всегда есть фреши и фрукты в вазе, можно перекусить по дороге на дайвинг:) Между дайвами можно сходить на традиционный массаж, 90 минут релакса и кайфа, мы оттуда выползали совершенно счастливыми:) Подводный мир, наверное, самый красивый в мире. Манты, черепахи, акулы, наполеоны, огромное разнообразие кораллов и губок, величайшее разнообразие мелких и крупных рыбешек, ну очень красиво. Отдых был великолепен, недели оказалось маловато:( Но мы обязательно повторим эту поездку. Огромное спасибо всему персоналу, каждый старался сделать наш отдых прекрасным и незабываемым. Very friendly and helpful people, that had a lot know-how about nature and animals. The camp was very clean and no plastic in the whole area which created a very noble athmosphere. The food was extraordinary - fresh and very tasty!

"We've hit Supanniga again last night. Every time (twice a year) we come to Bangkok we make sure to have dinner there and have always been rewarded for sticking to good old habits. Last night was no exception. We tried to innovate choosing dishes we'd never tried before and were pleased with every single taste. Service was as always attentive. Supanigga remains a good destination for whoever is looking for good thai food with a twist in a cozy yet animated environment"
