Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Charming Boutique Hotel"
Fell in love with this hotel as soon as I arrived and had to sit in the magnificent library for a while to wait until my room was ready. This hotel reminded me of a smaller version of Raffles in Singapore. Great attention to detail, superb breakfast, friendly staff and spacious rooms. Loved the pool on top of the residence and had a great meal at the restaurant. Location is superb with close proximity to BTS and other excellent restaurants at Rain Hill.Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazing and relaxing stay"
"Slow Private Pool Villas was amazing. Service is stupendous from our luggage to in villa breakfast. Loved our stay. We were relaxed and didn't want to leave our villa. They offer to do everything for you including ordering food to their bike rentals onsite. The spa is amazing! Well worth it. We ended up doing a 2.5 hour massage and facial and it was glorious. Everything was very relaxing. The only thing I would recommend would be their manicure service. They did my manicure right out there in the front lobby of the spa. There is no dedicated / relaxing room used for the manicures so that was a bummer. Another con is that it's not as close to the beach as other accommodations. It's about a 10 min walk but being far from the beach has its advantages to a peaceful getaway. Room is fabulous. Outdoor showers which are amazing. Decor is lovely. Bed faces the outdoor pool. Large sliding doors that you can open all the way so that it feels as if the bedroom is one with the outdoor pool. Otherwise, lovely stay. We would come back! A truly unique and distinctive experience at Blackitch Artisan Kitchen. Chef Black's philosophy around food and ethics comes through in all his dishes - local, creative, artisan and balanced. His food is innovative, experimental and he has a real flair for flavours. Chef Black explained each of his dishes as they came to the table and the processes - the majority of the food is organic and handmade. A great dining experience with a good degustation menu - a unique Thai-influenced menu with great wine pairings. Sadly located in a hidden back lane in the city. "Summary - great hotel, we were upgraded to a suite as booked through SLH, which was wonderful. Pros -Lovely hotel, suite was huge and bathroom was massive. -Very sleek minimalist decor. -Coffee machine, that made cappuccinos! -Snacks provided daily including drinks, chips, etc. A nice touch. We kept nipping into the nearby 7 11 for beers, water and additional stacks. -Great service. -Great breakfast, although this was only included due to SLH booking. If it is not included it is a little pricey. -Very convenient location to access the rail transport. -Loads and loads of restaurants within walking distance. Cons -We had constant issues with the toilet. It was one of those poorly designed American ones, which tend to block ridiculously easily. "mooie schone luxe kamers aan een vijver. Ontbijt heerlijk en uitgebreid. Theetijd moet je zeker meemaken; koekjes en dawet waren erg lekker. Hotel ligt in het centrum aan een groot plein. Fietstocht met John was een succes vooral het gekleurde dorpje aan de rivier Brantas sungei. "A very nice place to relax and do some tours, extremely friendly and helpful staff. The tents are great, they offer good facilities, and all come with an awesome view of the river and the most amazing sunset. It's definitely not cheap but well worth the money! What a pleasure to stay in your wonderful villa and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. A beautiful hotel which isn't too fussy with protocol which looks after your every need. The breakfast are a delight and the restaurant serves delicious food.
