Reverie Siam Pai: "Very nice and relaxing"
Passed 3 nights in this nice hotel locate just 1 km from Pai town centre. The resort is really nice, it has 2 nice swimming pools, very good mediterranean restaurant and lovely rooms well equipped. Breakfast is à la carte, so you can choose whatever you prefer. It is really good! Wish to come backMesaStila: "An excellent experience!"
"Great hotel with a fantastic staff. The food at the restaurant is very nice and the SPA service has been one of the best experiences of my life. Ideal for couples on honey moon. The coffee tour is recommendable"The Apsara Rive Droite: "Great Location! Great Hotel"
"We had a main floor room. It was large and so was the bathroom. Both the bed and the bathtub were high so there may be a problem for persons with mobility problems. Air conditioned plus a fan. Well kept and clean. The hotel was one short block from the main street where the monks come every morning. It was a ten minute walk to the night market and easy walking distance to many wats nearby. Also close to boats for river trips, especially sunset cruises. Breakfast for westerners consisted of juice, fruit, bacon and eggs, local french inspired bread and coffee. highly recommended. We got a great deal at US70.00 per night. Was worth more than that. Room Tip: All rooms face the river and a busy street which is not noisy after 10:00 at night."Samanea Beach Resort: "Perfect for when you want to getaway"
On first arrival at Samanea we were pleasantly surprised at how pretty the resort was! A true resort, getaway in the quite town of Kep. Villas were very nicely decorated, had a real tropical feel. Bathrooms are novelty with outdoor tub and rain shower. Big, spacious rooms. Individual villas. Rooms have some air conditioning and an additional fan is provided. However aircon isn't strong enough to really cool the room down. Also as bathroom is outdoors - it has no air conditioning. Beautiful pool, lovely view out to the sea. Amazing sunsets. Please take insect repellant as being close to the water and mangroves there are alot of mosquitos and bugs. Overall food was good but not fantastic but the environment makes up for it. The open dining area was really nice. Good for a few days getaway. Great for couples - but as travelling with a friend a few days was enough. Note: no gym, wifi was relatively stable. We would highly recommend Samanea as a secret resort getaway.Jing’s Residence: "Wonderful Experience"
"Our family of three adults spent two nights at Jing’s Residence. It was by far one of our favorite stays in our 19 day China journey. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The hotel is situated in the walled city which makes checking in and out interesting. No cars are allowed so you are met at the gates by electric cars for your transfer. We ate at Jing’s two evenings. The first evening we ordered of the menu and were delighted with our cocktails and food choices. The next evening, the hotel and chef Henry were very gracious to put together a cooking class for us spur of the moment. Again the food was wonderful and we had a great, fun time interacting with the staff. We can now make dumplings and noodles. We also ate breakfast there twice. It was adequate and good. Service was prompt and delightful. I wish I was returning to Pingyao to relive this special place"Glenburn Tea Estate: "An oasis in beautiful landscape"
"We stayed 4 nights here and felt this was just about right. 2 nights is just not enough for the journey in and out which is yes long and yes bumpy.. but it is an adventure.. and to be honest after reading about the road I was slightly worried. In our opinion it is not as bad as its made out to be. If you want to get away from it all and off the beaten track you have to put in some effort. Will, Faye and the team were great with exceptional levels of service given at every moment. If you like the ski chalet concept you will love Glenburn. This is a ski chalet in the foothills of the Himalayas. There is a wide variety of activity and plenty of time just to relax if you want to. One tip take good walking shoes to really enjoy the treks available. Rooms are big, unique and lovely. You could put on pounds if you ate all the food. There was plenty of it and at all times of the day. Bed tea in the mornings was a real treat. WiFi was weak but leave it behind and put it away is our best advice. We did and were so refreshed by doing so. All in all a really lovely place to stay."Anopura: "Still wonderful"
"We returned to Anopura after three years, and enjoyed it just as much as before. The remote setting is wonderful, the accommodation is excellent, and Ishwar and his team provide a wonderful service. Breakfast by the pool, lunch in the shade and dinner under the stars are all delightful, with fresh local ingredients. On a walk with Ishwar we got to meet some of the producers of the food we'd eaten in the days before. After five hectic weeks in Rajasthan this was a marvellous way to finish our trip. We would love to return again. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Villa Mathis: "Au Top"
"Merci, Je suis resté à Bali trois semaines, trois semaines d’extase, trois semaines dans cet hôtel, avec du personnel et des gérants hors norme de part leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme. Qu’une envie, revenir et peut être ne plus repartir."Mekong Villas: "Hidden Gem"
"Lovely people at a lovely spot. The only thing unfortunate was the cold wheather and Thai brick beds. Other than that plain lovely! If you like quiet the slightly steep price is definitely worth it! They organized dinner and a boat trip for us, both very reasonably priced."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Floating Paradise in the Jungle – Outstanding Service and Amazing Location"
"There are so many wonderful things about this hotel; the location, the staff, the activities, the atmosphere…. (…)The rooms are beautiful – poshest tent I have ever stayed in, and it really is floating – you can feel a gentle movement at night time and when people walk past – which I really liked. The people that work at the hotel and as trip guides are all mostly all from the local island opposite and surrounding village area which gave the whole experience a real charm. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful - it really was a perfect paradise. The hotel manager arranged our transport back to Phomn Penh for us (we opted for a shared VIP bus on the way back - which was $15 each and took about 5 hours). One of the members of staff waited with us in Tatai village until the mini bus arrived and loaded our bags etc… - truly exceptional and helpful service. One of the main highlights has to be waking up and diving straight into the river from your personal deck and also kayaking around the islands! This is an incredible experience not to be missed! "
