"The 10 course dinner menu is well-crafted and each course successfully tickled different areas of our taste buds. The meal starts with 4 complimentary snacks, followed by 3 appetizers, 4 main courses, 3 desserts & ends with Malaysian-flavored ice pops. These are served over a 3-hour period, which is good timing for me personally - lots of time for good, long conversations! Love the fact that each course is infused with Malaysian flavors, bringing these local ingredients to another level. The restaurant atmosphere was quiet and service was impressive - they were quick to response to our needs. However, there are limited tables and they only entertain reservations made online (check out their website). This restaurant is located in KDU College, Glenmarie - may be quite a distance from KL but convenient for patrons from Shah Alam & Subang Jaya. Overall, we had an enjoyable evening. This is arguably one of Asia's finest restaurants … the a la carte menu is a fusion, at times I felt like at home in Sydney, at times it went to Scandinavia … The ambience is minimalist, dress code casual (loved that aspect), staff friendly and informative; the food we ordered (and most of it shared) was excellent, top marks to the wagyu tartare and ribeye. I read some negative reviews below … I am guessing people were expecting a Chinese banquet for the price. This is quite a different experience, its all about tasting the food, the fresh ingredients and the innovative. We certainly did not leave the restaurant hungry, quite the opposite. If you are a couple like us, choose different starters and mains and try as many as possible. Quality of everything in the hotel are outstanding. The owner and staffs are very dedicated. A real hideaway break that you can find in the city of Chiangmai. Walking distance to weekend night market and close to temple and Oasis SpaMathis Retreat: "Loved it!!!"

Thank you to chef who was very kind to open the door half n hour before the time, interior and exterior was very local. But food technique wasn't. "This must be my 8 or 9th visit to rachamnkha. It is such a great place to stay. The manager, Paul, is without doubt one of the best hoteliers I have ever met. And the praise doesn't stop with him. The staff are 2nd to none. The rooms are excellent, and the garden setting that the hotel is situated in is an oasis in the city. The breakfast is the best I have ever encountered in many years of travelling, and the lunch and dinner do not disappoint. If you are staying in Chang Mai, stay here. If you are not staying in Chiang Mai , then change your plans and stay here. It's worth the trip. Without doubt, and pound for pound, is the best place you will ever stay in Thailand. We spent a long weekend in the bamboo house at this small but beautiful resort. Great experience. You are sleeping 3 meters from the beach! You hear the waves and all kinds of sounds in the night, very relaxing. The atmosphere at the place is great. It is sort of at the end of the road, so there is no restaurants or things to do within walking distance. But the staff and the manager Bryan are very serviceminded and will help you with anything you want to do or go to. We recommend you to eat all meals at the resort and then there's no need to go anywhere else. Just stay at the resort and enjoy it. "We were thrilled with our stay at Rachamankha. My wife and I were here for our honeymoon, and it was a wonderful venue for such an occasion. Somewhat hard to find among the back roads inside the old town in Chiang Mai (the tuk tuk's will know where to go), it provides a great escape from the bustle of the town. The grounds are immaculately manicured. There is a great little seating area to lounge and relax. The pool is large and well maintained. Our room was very quiet, had a great large bed. The AC worked well enough in the room. The thing is don't miss the restaurant. We ate at several restaurants around town, but kept coming back to the hotel restaurant for the green curry, stir fried noodles, and several other dishes. I have been to this restaurants numerous times; every time when they change their menu. Chef Darren never fail to surprise his diners with natural ingredients sourced locally. "One of the best management we ever experienced, the food sublime, probably the best we had in Laos! From our arrival to our leave we have been taken extra care by these two young managers! They were also able to hand down their passion to the local staff, an impressive task considering the circumstances of the location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in Laos, especially if you love food and thermal waters! Thank you very much for the amazing time and for the color pencils for our little daughter we found on the mini bus when we left!"
