Tugu Bali: "Amazing! Best Hotel and the original hotel in canggu"
"Wow what a place this hotel is very very special... the rooms are incredible! The whole hotel is like a Indonesian museum, it's got some amazing artefacts and antique furnishings throughout the whole place, the owner is the largest collector of Indonesian artefacts and antiques in the world, its such a special place to just walk around... part of the restaurant is made out of a 300 year old beautifully carved family temple that was saved by the founder of Tugu hotels dismantled then shipped to Tugu Canggu where it was restricted and became the interior of one of their fabulous restaurants within the hotel... the hotel is as much a museum as it is a hotel... We stayed in the rejang suite which has a awesome bath and views over the sea... the bed is one of the comfiest beds I've slept in I love the pillows, they equal the standard of the four seasons or ritz Carlton bedding... basically it's more than comfortable!! :) We loved the grounds which are all beautifully kept as is the Lilly ponds and there's large beautiful fish swimming through the little rivers that run throughout the hotel grounds... it’s very calming and peaceful environment. The staff were all so kind and friendly we were given a full tour of the hotel and showed around all of the Indonesian artefacts and antiques that the owner of Tugu hotels has tirelessly collected over years... there’s some really amazing things here if your into your culture and history this is a really special treat! The JI restaurant has some awesome sushi we had a evening snack and then came back lunch the next day as the sushi is just amazing! On our 2nd night we attended their cultural evening and had dinner in front of the whole performance it was amazing, the show was beautifully performed and the food was to die for! Cocktails are pretty decent too!! We had a fantastic two days at the Tugu hotel and were really taken back by the beauty of this hotel it’s just really stunning! I you want something unique and special but also luxurious then Tugu Canggu is your best bet! Thanks to everyone who made our stay so special at Tugu Hotel! I just can't take my eyes off the menu, huge variety of dishes and hold on, what is this? How come I have never seen such kind of food in BKK restaurants? My eyes just open wide when the friendly staffs serve the dishes on the table. Just love how the food is arranged meticulously on Thai-style plate. Truly authentic Thai recipes, simple ingredients but overwhelming taste. Could suppaniga launch cooking class? :PDavid’s Kitchen: "Birthday"
I went there yesterday solo and it was the best decision that I ever made . The staff was so friendly and very professional. Almost like an white glove dining but the price is so much friendly . The owner David is very kind, he came to my table personally to say hi and sing happy birthday song to me . The food was excellent . Best pumpkin soup and escargots!! Everything else was also very delicious. Best restaurant in Chiangmai and I can't wait to bring my family and friends there one day .Maduzi Hotel: "Hidden retreats in the busy Bangkok"
"I am glad i found Maduzi Hotel in my Bangkok Hotels research before the trip, I wish that I found it sooner before we booked another hotel but me and my husband were lucky that we get to stay here for 3 nights out of our 6 days holiday in Bangkok. The location of this hotel is just a 3-5mins walk from Asok BTS which made it easier for us to travel to any corner of the city also 10-15 mins walk to Nana. The room itself was so fascinating. It was worth the price that we paid. Super big room with a very comfy king-sized bed and also a relaxing couch by the window. When we walked in to the bathroom, it was like we were in a celebrity's house. Big mirror with lovely lighting, walk-in closet, and the best part of it was the bathtub X jacuzzi! It was huge and quite deep, it could fit 2 people in it, and to fill the tub, the water will fall from the roof. Very unique and nice touch! On the other hand, they have a coffee machine in each of the room, also you can have free tea or coffee at their bar for 24/7. It was very relaxing after so much of walking around. They didn't have many breakfast options, but we tried almost every menu and they were delicious.. Every morning that's the thing we look after and if you wake up late you can have your breakfast as your brunch. I'm so looking forward to be back here and enjoy all of the fascinating facilities Maduzi has. Thank you for making our holiday memorable."Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Distinguished by excellent staff; Best if you want quiet away from center"
"This property is very lovely, with a beautiful, peaceful, jungle-like setting. If you want a quiet restful time away from the hustle of the town center, this is your place. Rooms are rustic, but comfortable and gorgeous in the traditional Cambodian style. The pool and grounds have a wonderful spa-like feel and are particularly sumptuous at night. But the physical appeal of this property is completely surpassed by the excellence of the staff. Every single staff member was cheerful, solicitous and kind, greeting us with a welcoming smile every time we returned from an outing. They excel even by Cambodian standards of hospitality, which are very high. The food, although beautifully presented, was not particularly distinguished and rather expensive for Cambodia. We've actually had very nice dinners in France for less. The prix fixe dinner is a good choice if you want to stay at the property and relax in the fabulous setting. But if you want to get around and explore, you can find better food in town for much less. For those who do want to spend a bit of time in town, this might not be the best choice. It is a very long walk (we only did it once and that was enough). The tuk tuk arrangement was also sub-optimal. You can't just walk out the door here and grab a tuk tuk -- there aren't any around. The hotel has to call one for you. We also had a little confusion over this arrangement: the hotel actually pays the driver (charging you a markup). So don't make the mistake of paying the driver again, as we did. And as far as we could tell, you pay for a round trip whether or not the driver returns you. So, on our first trip, the hotel billed us $7 for what was only a one way trip. We paid a different driver $2 to get back (note the unmarked-up price). None of this is a big deal or a serious criticism of the hotel. It's just a heads-up that you should clarify with the hotel exactly what you are paying for when you get a tuk-tuk, so there will be no surprises. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"Samuay & Sons: "best modern Thai experience"
Thank you to chef who was very kind to open the door half n hour before the time, interior and exterior was very local. But food technique wasn't. I was surprised by each dish, ingredient that I already know but in a very different way of cooking. best modern Thai restaurant that can present the real Thai taste. would definitely going back there for a meal.Villa Song Saigon: "Holiday for our sons 50th Birthday"
We had a great stay with you & the staff were really very courteous & helpful, the building is impressive & the pool was so relaxing we will be back soon hopefully maybe for my Bithday later this yearMesaStila: "Impressive Resort in Central Java"
"I stay here with my wife for 3D2N and it's not enough. Mesastila offers a wonderful wellness experience. This resort surrounded by mountains and panoramic view. It's all a natural comfort experience. We stayed in Arum Villa. A very traditional Javanese house with brilliant balcony view where we can see 4 mountains ahead. This spacy villa offers comfortable bed and furnishing (in traditional way), nice bathtub, and fast wi-fi just in case I need to do some of my work in the balcony with mountain view. Don't forget to try it's Hammam Spa, enjoy the sunset along with their afternoon tea & snack, plantation tour, and delicious food. It's a very recommended resort and I definitely will come back here."Bassac Mekong Delta Cruises by Secret Retreats: "Wonderful experience"
Seeing the sunrise over the Mekong was an unforgettable experience. The food on board the boat is superb and we enjoyed the visit to local villages and seeing the floating market. Our guide, Annie, was excellent too.Manukan Island Resort: "Lazy days on the beach"
For the past few days in Sabah we wanted us to relax a bit and chose the nearby island of KK Manukan. Arrival / Room: Already at the pier we were surprised: by private email boat we were taken to the island. Us a cool water was also pressed into his hand the same. On the island you received us very friendly with a cool cloth and a tea / drink. Although we arrived already at 11 am, we moved into our beach villa same. We were told everything and there were apples ready and refrigerate soft drinks and replenished daily free water. Our Beach Villa was the first one up front at the reception and on the way, but the fact that we were on the first floor, the day visitors did not bother us. The room and the bathroom are really very nice, clean and large. It is anything useful present: flip-flops, flip-flops for outdoors, beach towels, shampoo, shower gel, a comb, a toothbrush, etc. The TV has some channels in English. The WiFi does so about 50% of the time works, and if so, then the connection was good. But since I do not know that there is absolutely WiFi, I was pleasantly surprised anyway. Beach: The private beach is very nice, the chairs and umbrellas are great. With us rarely strayed days Visitors on our beach and were usually relatively quickly pointed out by the staff that they are here only allows guests. In the water was only now and then someone Resort stranger. (But was apparently just not much going on). The hammocks were also very comfortable. Unfortunately, on the first two days, a bit much trash on the beach, and although actually some employees were traveling, was not collected the. But from the third day it was all super clean. Convenient to all Villa Beach residents might still be a shower or locker room at the private beach, one could go swimming on the last day even after checking out. but otherwise it is not far to the room, so do not disturb it. Since the seabed is very sandy, the water is not always clear, especially if it is something stormy. However, I found the snorkeling better than expected. You see a lot of fish and a few living coral there still. Restaurant: The breakfast was amazing. One can choose from 6 different dishes as much as you want but until you come to order, you already have fruit, yogurt, milk, cereal, bread, jams are at the table. as we were a few days there, we tried almost everything and it was all very good. The dinner was also very good, but the selection was not quite as big. The live music was not bad, but I found it funny when they are directly at the table, but the Asian tourists found the apparently quite cool. The prices of local I found okay, I had feared worse. The cocktails were not bad either. Other: there are from the infrastructure all it takes, there are two souvenir shops that sell snacks, drinks and ice cream, three restaurants (during the day), and a rental for lifejackets / snorkel / etc, you can book some tours on Downbelow. and the resort also offers a few specials on (dinner on the beach, BBQ, picnic basket, ...) All in all, we liked it really well on Manukan. The day trippers not really bother us, but it is also pretty cool, if you have the island from late afternoon almost alone for themselves. For us it was exactly what we had imagined. We did not want to be so far away from KK, a beautiful beach and a nice room, have to go a little snorkeling and walk a little. Those who place more emphasis on marine life, should perhaps rather long way from KK (eg Mantanani Iceland or, probably best to Semporna). But we have felt very comfortable and special and can highly recommend it. Which is a shame (for which the resort but nothing can), the many garbage which is not only washed ashore from the sea, but is mainly caused by the day trippers. People throw everything away easily or leave it. In addition, an extra is that one should not use plastic bags in the shops but they are used for all sorts of things.
