Sukoon Houseboat: "Best Houseboat in Dal Lake. Period"

Review by: MH C | Source: Trip Advisor
"First and foremost for all those who are apprehensive and are scared to visit Kashmir, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE EVEN A BIT. Kashmir is pretty safe for tourism with no issues whatsoever. Whatever we see in the media is overhyped. Even if there are any issues out there, it will never affect tourists in any way possible. Kashmiris take very good care of tourists and they understand the importance of tourism in their life. So please do not think twice if you are planning for a vacation to Kashmir. IT IS VERY VERY SAFE. Now, about Sukoon (The houseboat). Sukoon is a luxurious houseboat located away from the hush gush in a serene location with a mind blowing view. Unlike other houseboats, they have their own boat which will take you from the Ghat to the houseboat. It is pretty convenient. Reception and welcome: As soon as you enter the houseboat, it gives you the Kashmiri feel as the interiors are done in traditional Kashmiri style. The reception area is very nice and cozy. Rooms: The interiors are very nicely done with traditional Kashmiri carvings and are well maintained as well. They have dim lights in the rooms which creates perfect ambience. Rooms sizes are perfect. Bathrooms: Very clean, very nice. Very well maintained. Food: (Dinner and breakfast) They have a small dining area. They prepare ala carte food as per the choice of the client. They do not have buffet system here which is a good part. Food is included in the tariff and you can choose from the list of available options from the menu card. Food is tasty. Very tasty. They have a deck area above the houseboat where breakfast is served. It gives a perfect start to your morning as you are having breakfast with the beautiful dal view. Just like the dinner, you can choose your breakfast items from the menu and they will make it for you. Breakfast is also very tasty. Staff: Very humble, courteous and polite. All of them work really hard. They go out of their way for the convenience of their client. Sukoon has a no plastic policy. They are trying to do their bit to protect Dal lake from ever increasing pollution. They serve clean water in glass bottles and copper vessel. This should be appreciated rather than complaining that why don’t they have sealed bisleris. Final Verdict: Just book this if you want to enjoy the serene and beautiful Dal lake. It is surely the best houseboat out there."

Tugu Lombok: "Peaceful destination"

Review by: mpbq | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent a wonderful 10 days at Tugu Hotel. We had booked last minute and stayed in a large villa. The villa was nicely decorated and furnished. The villa had a large semi open bathroom and a 7 metre pool in a private garden. There were views across the lawn to the sea. The were 2 outdoor communal pools in the very large gardens fronting the sea. The gardens have been landscaped and there is a super collection of Indonesian artefacts including statues, temples and various other objects. The menu has both Indonesian traditional dishes and western, We ate Indonesian dishes the whole time. The cooking is first class. Breakfast is served all morning and comprises of both local dishes and healthy western options. We visited the spa on a number of occasions and left feeling very relaxed. All the staff were fantastic from the people who cleaned the villa, the gardeners, restaurant staff and management. They could never do enough to make the stay memorable. They were courteous, happy and always had a smile for you. It was a truly wonderful holiday and we look forward to returning soon."

Talabgaon Castle Heritage Resort: "An amazing experience"

Review by: Barbara19456 | Source: Trip Advisor
We had 2 nights here and just wish it had been longer. We were treated royally. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. The room was beautiful. A fridge in room would be good but a minor point. We really enjoyed seeing village life and a chance to relax away from the bustle of the cities. All in all a fantastic stay.

Tugu Lombok: "Wonderful stay at Lombok"

Review by: Marilyn S | Source: Trip Advisor
"Amazing hotel... Quiet, marvelous decor, beach access, good selection of food & amazing staff - all very attentive to your needs. We had a very particular bathroom but all so nice. One memorable stay at Hotel Tugu! And very happy we included it with our Bali trip. "

Maduzi Hotel: "Hidden oasis in a city center"

Review by: Inna A | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you appreciate quality in details - you will love Maduzi. It looks like everything is made of premium materials - furniture, decor and other elements of interior. We loved wooden floors (in contrast to carpet or tiles in other hotel rooms) - it looks and feels nice. Vanity table in the bathroom and jacuzzi and coffee machine - everything contributes to your comfort. It feels very private and personal. There is no large sign on the street and the hotel is kind of hidden. There are only about 40 rooms, so there is no crowd and it is pretty quiet and cozy. It feels more personal and it feels more like a home with a soul rather than a hotel without if that makes sense :) Breakfasts are amazing and completely different story from any other hotels breakfasts. If you do not care about swimming pool, but jacuzzi will be a nice plus for you - definitely consider this hotel. Room Tip: ask for a higher floor -"

Rachamankha: "A Quiet Oasis in a Bustling Town"

Review by: RayWilts | Source: Trip Advisor
This was a quiet oasis in a bustling town but still well positioned to see everything Chiang Mai has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and our room and bathroom was spotless and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed excellent service from a very friendly and polite staff. The breakfast buffet is very good and they make a neat gin and tonic in the bar. The hotel laundry service was very efficient and cheap compared to hotels elsewhere in the world. If we visited Chiang Mai again we would definitely stay here again

Heritage Suites: "Still excellent"

Review by: Ikemx | Source: Trip Advisor
"I returned to the Heritage hotel one year after my previous stay almost exactly to the day. It's an outstanding hotel truly qualifies as a boutique hotel This time I was given a bungalow and my reaction to this upgrade ( low season) was WOW,what amazing room the best hotel room since a stay at Amanpuri in Phuket. The size of the room is fantastic, the living room, of course the bathroom including a steam room, etc etc Outdoor showers The pictures say what I can not say in words I have a comment to make, I was told the hotel has new ownership and a new manager is soon going to arrive. I only recognized one person Mr Han I hope there's no deterioration of an amazing property I highly recommend it, best hotel on this trip that covered 5 countries in SE Asia"

The Twelve Hotel: "Pleasant"

Review by: valentin c | Source: Trip Advisor
Quiet oasis in Bangkok. The hotel is quiet, clean and the owners are friendly. Bedding is excellent and tasteful decoration. This is a small hotel on a human scale. A little far from the subway or foot to BTS but tuk tuk will cost you 50 Bath. In short I would go back because I have spent a great time

Locavore: "Impressive servings"

Review by: gosenturk | Source: Trip Advisor
Going to Locavore is like being at one of your favorite high-end restaurants. They offer food served in ways that you don't consider yourself. They played with ingredients and served it in their lovely place in Ubud. I was surprised by the match between the cocktails and food + the surprise snacks that were served. We recommend going all-in if you visit this place.
