Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Easy and elegant hotel, lovely to return to after a day roaming Bangkok"

Review by: Valerie B | Source: tripadvisor.com
I like every thing about Cabochon, but mostly the serene and peaceful atmosphere. Despite the very obsessive attention to design details, the overall atmosphere is of ease and friendliness. The food at the restaurant is good. Breakfast is a bit cramped and the small buffet could/ should be improved - the fruit section in particular. One small thing this time the music in the public areas was rather loud, and we had to ask if it could be turned down a little. But these are details. I stay at Cabochon every time I go to Bangkok and I love it.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Paradise!"

Review by: 394sharon | Source: Trip Advisor
A bit of a trek to get there, but well worth it. We would certainly like to go back. Luxurious tents, everything was beautifuly clean. People so welcoming, very friendly and good fun. Food was excellent and served in a lovely restaurant. Woke up every morning to see the river, the forest behind and know we were in for a great day. Trips daily if you want to go. Really recomment the waterfall and kayaking around the mangroves.

Muang La Lodge: "Best in Laos"

Review by: dave_clapperton | Source: Trip Advisor
This place is truly exceptional. The attention to detail is fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for the outstanding staff. Quality of food like everything else here is excellent and we loved the 5 course menus each evening. You have to go there!!

Villa Song Saigon: "Few days to relax in busy HCM"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Membe | Source: Trip Advisor
"We are a family of 2 kids and it's our second stay in villa song and definitely not the last one. We booked a room and got finally a nice upgrade to a bigger sanctuary room downstairs so easier to handle with the stroller and kids . They have a nice swimming pool and our son enjoyed it at least once to twice per day , The restaurant is super good , Breakfast is served all day long , and the choice is super wide with Vietnamese and western food - my fav of the stay : banh cuon and my husband : croissant sandwich, fruits are fresh and tasty, For the evening, they have a more westerner food menu which is super good but don't expect Vietnamese food - We were there during their Singaporean cook host week and we tried some of his best dish - my fav is the dessert aloe and jelly - lemon sherbet :) On top of that the staff is awesome , super nice and would do everything for u to get a nice stay . We used their baby sit service 2 eve without any issue , And last day I treat myself with a spa offer they had : scrub and facial , it was very well done and relaxing ... and would do it again next time ! Pros: nice swimming pool, adorable staff , food quality , spa available and kids friendly (babysit / babycot) Cons : in D2 so not in city center but u can always enjoy a 15min boat ride right into the center and avoid busy traffic We will definitely come back!!!"

Dewakan: "Amazing"

Review by: John H | Source: Trip Advisor
"This restaurant is out of the centre of KL about 35 minutes without traffic an hour with. Don't let this put you off. The food is spectacular and from an international perspective reasonably priced. We had the 10 course degustation which with 3 pre entrees and an extra dessert worked out at 14 different and very interesting dishes for RM250(I think). The food while paying homage to Malaysia is very much modern cuisine. Every dish was unique."

Tugu Malang: "Two nights in Malang to climb Mt Semeru"

Review by: AlanMichaelWard | Source: Trip Advisor
"I'd previously stayed here in 2015 and was aware of their leisure activities programme as the objective for this visit was to climb Mt Semeru (3,676m), the highest point on the Indonesian island of Java. My colleague and I were warmly welcomed by staff and allocated an upgraded room which was much appreciated. Whilst the heritage hotel is very well laid out with lots of antiques and memorabilia, this would count for nothing if the staff weren't up to looking after guests to a very high standard. I've stayed in many great hotels around the world but the Tugu Malang is included in my top 5 hotels in the world. The trekking arrrangements were satisfactory but for various reasons we didn't reach the summit but if we try again we'll allow for an extra day for this. The catering here is exceptional with variety and quality spoiling guests for choice. I can highly recommend this hotel!"

Inle Princess Resort: "Brilliant"

Review by: Zzz B | Source: Trip Advisor
We can not say enough about this excellent hotel, had the best of food, service, rooms, views but the arrival into it is simply stunning Tucked away from the main lake, on its own part of the lake is a peaceful set up Highly recommended

Mathis Retreat: "An absolute gem!"

Review by: Matthew W | Source: Trip Advisor
"Ubud is a very busy place, but once you get through the unassuming entrance on the road, you're in what feels like a very different (and much better) world. We were there for 2 nights in August (sorry for the delay in reviewing!) before going to Gili Meno. Allow for 2 hours travelling time from the airport and Padang Bai; traffic is bad here. The views are just lovely, as are the staff and Manageress, and the food is genuinely outstanding - the chefs are some of the best we have ever encountered, and we've travelled a fair amount. If you wish to have dinner in the hotel, make sure you book a table at breakfast (also very yummy) as it is often booked by people staying elsewhere, such is the popularity. It's not a big place at all though, so don't worry about it being lively. Then there's the Mojitos - oh my god!!! Quite probably the best in the world! The rooms are exceptionally well proportioned and beautifully decorated; the bathroom is VERY luxurious (in an authentic way) too. The beds are supremely comfy, and the air con is good. The hotel operates a shuttle service to Ubud Central, although it is just about walkable within 40 minutes or so; we did this when traffic was at a standstill due to an Independence Day parade. Bugs and critters were not a problem during our stay. Suitable for families with well-behaved children."

Muang La Lodge: "A stunning gem in a remote location"

Review by: Don A | Source: Trip Advisor
"This unheralded, stunning resort is a great reward for the traveller who is prepared to undertake a relatively long road journey. Though arduous, that journey is not without some great experiences and vistas. Guided trips would be essential to help reveal the highlights along the way. Planning an extra night stay might appeal to those seeking even more pampering after their endeavours. The swimming pool is wonderful. The hot spring baths and massage service offer other opportunities for indulgence. The accommodation is beautiful and well designed. The beds are sumptuous. The river views are majestic. The restaurant provides fantastic meals, particularly the set five course dinner. The variety of tasty ethnic and local dishes each night was unique. Breakfast was excellent and personalized. The provision of gluten free pancakes demonstrated not only skills at improvisation but also determination to ensure guest satisfaction. For me it was a real bonus and very touching. The walk to the nearby village was great but knowing precisely where and how to access the exciting bamboo raft ferry back across the creek is recommended. The service was superb at all levels within the stablishment."

David’s Kitchen: "Unforgettable first anniversary meal."

Review by: holidayaddictSurrey | Source: Trip Advisor
I don’t really know where to start with this review as so much has been said before but you really must treat yourself to David’s Kitchen. Not one detail has been overlooked, staff are impeccable, quality ingredients abound, presentation is exquisite. This is truly a unique dining experience. David is such a humble host, sharing the success of his restaurant with his charming wife Prom and the wonderful Thai chef, along with his attentive staff. It’s clear to see he has a passion to create a wonderful dining room with superb food and excellent service, this he manages with ease and charm, his reward is to see people from all over the world enjoying themselves. Thanks for a fantastic evening it was truly a great pleasure for us both.
