"The Hotel is Magic. We were picked up by a boat and slowly brought into this paradise. The room was fantastic, the Food and Drinks to match. We were so happy there that we decided to Skip a few temples to be able to enjoy this resort. The sunset on the terrace with a drink is fabulous. "MesaStila: "Wondereful and Relaxing"
Can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at the charming Mesa Stila Resort. Our villa was a wonderful suprise, full of personal touches, and indulgent at the same time. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and we just sunk into the relaxed pace. There are not enough superlatives for the view - it is breathtaking. Staying here is a privilege and we are grateful for the experience. Although not a typical "child-friendly" resort, our 7 year old daughter was made to feel extremely welcome - she enjoyed the horse-riding and participating in the batik demonstration. Nothing like a few days here at the end of a journey through Karnataka. Great setting, attractive cottages, good service and excellent food. Breakfast ,lunch and dinner overlooking the sea what more can you want?The River Resort: "Luxury retreat on the Mekong river."
Lovely peaceful resort style hotel. The location is right on the banks of the Mekong with most rooms looking directly across the river. The rooms are very spacious, clean and very well laid out. The restaurant caters to both western and local cuisines with lots of choices, all very good. The spa is good although our massages were not consistent. There are two nice pools to choose between. "We stayed for 2 nights. This is a wonderful organisation offering accommodation and training for young people in the hospitality industry. They grow their own vegetables and herbs on site. The food was very good. In particular i can recommend the spring onion fritters - an Inthar recipe - very tasty and delicious. The staff here were lovely and very attentive. Only downsife was the noise from the boats and some noises in the roof at night from wildlife. Apart from that I would recommend this to those who are looking for somewhere small and boutique. We went to this restaurant for our wedding anniversary, and it was an incredibly good experience. Everything was perfect, starting with the really nice staff, the place itself and obviously the food. Talking about the latter, we saw people complaining about it, this place is intended to be a really slow food experience, with 7 or 5 main dishes and roughly 10 complementary other small snacks, all together it takes over 3 hours, not for everyone. But the composition of the dishes is simply awesome, recommended for the lover of the good food!Manda De Laos: "Delicious"

With a wonderful lake view and amazing ambience, this restaurant is worth a visit, even though it may be slightly out of the way. The food is delicious, with lunch sets that are of good value. The service is impeccable, as with people in Myanmar in general. Make a reservations for choice seats. Alternatively, go in the evening for seats near the lake. (It seems too hot in the afternoon when I was there.) I loved the classy decor, with their handmade pottery dining ware!Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Beauty by the Sea"
"We both loved this place! Even though its accessible from a main beach road it seems very sheltered from the hustle and bustle. The setup is so perfect for total relaxation and enjoyment. The staff are so friendly and solely focussed on giving you the best experience possible. Also they have an incredible beachfront pool and adjoining restaurant/café where you can sit and watch the waves roll in. Would love to go back someday. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"
