Babe: "Breath taking food in an amazing vibe"

Review by: nikilundberg | Source: Trip Advisor
"I went to Babe for my last dinner in KL and I couldn't find a better way to end my trip. Everything with this place is magnificent; the atmosphere, the interior, the staff and, of course, the food. I'm a vegetarian so usually it's a little bit harder for me to get that mind blowing experience I know a lot of meat eaters get when they are in places like this. However, this time that wasn't a problem. I tried eight of the vegetarian dishes and each one of them reached above my expectations. I started with the compressed caesar salad which was the best caesar salad I've ever had. Instead of bacon you got a crispy salty coconut flake - such an innovative way of making vegetarian food fun. The dishes kept on rolling in and the majority of them literally exploded in my mouth (when you go there you will understand what i mean). A must try is the watermelon carpaccio, the potato puré with onion jam and the beet root role. And also, if you are a fan of miso soup - it's the best I've ever had. Besides the food I had a couple of drinks and they all kept the level. Try the Malaysian tea - it's so delicious! When leaving this place it came to me that it won't be long until I visit KL again. Thank you Babe for giving me an experience I'll never forget."

Les Maisons d’Itac: "Absolutely Amazing!"

Review by: kmgk | Source: tripadvisor.com
It's no wonder that this resort is listed in Secret Retreats www.secret-retreats.com - probably one of the best resorts in the South Western part of Cebu Island, what a find! The resort only has 5 accommodation types from houses to studio types. Very modern, staff excellent, manager amazing, food fantastic - I can say all wonderful things about Les Maison d'Itac! Plus, it is absolutely child friendly, the pool is located in a safe distance and the beach is only 2steps down, we were never worried having kids around. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visit Cebu! I will definiely return in the future.

Heritage Suites: "Lovely stay at heritage suites hotel"

Review by: Maya O | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed for 2 nights while visiting the temples. First of all - it was nice to be picked up from the airport. The driver was great and explained things about Cambodia in general and also the town. The hotel is beautiful with a vintage feel, with a nice swimming pool to think about while sweating in the temples all day. Breakfast is delicious- a la carte but you can chose more than one thing so its more than enough. The free 15 min spa treatment is a great touch. I think the best thing though is the heritage adventures package which allowed us to have a different experience. We were really pleased we had chosen it, would definetly recommend."

Manukan Island Resort: "Great stay in a hillside villa"

Review by: jonny55555 | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed in a hillside villa. The villa was lovely with two balconies with amazing sea views and access to the private beach. It had all the amenities we needed. The staff are extremely helpful and polite and Ben made sure we had a great experience. The food in the restaurant was good and it has a nice atmosphere in the evening when the day trippers have headed back to KK.. There is also a house band happy to attempt any request you have.. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Heritage Suites Hotel: "Respite amid the bustle of Siem Reap"

Review by: travel-lms | Source: Trip Advisor
"We enjoyed our stay at the Heritage Suites. Service is top notch, with water and a cool towel in the car that meets your flight. The staff were friendly and helpful, and liked to practice their English. Our room was spacious, with a seating area separated from the bedroom by a curtain. Turndown service brought fresh water and clean towels. It was quiet and the room was secluded from other rooms. Breakfast was great, you could order everything or one thing! Everything we tried was delicious. We took tuktuk into town for dinner, there was almost always one waiting, and the front desk would call for one at peak times. While the location is a little far from pub street, we enjoyed being away from the crowds. We chose the hotel because we wanted quiet and to make sure we had a good guide to tour Angkor and the surrounding Wats. The hotel arranged our driver and guide for 2 days. Our guide, Chan spoke good English. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the temples, culture, and history from him. The driver was cordial and knew when to offer cool towels and water. We exchanged email with the hotel tour desk before our arrival to ensure we saw the key sights we were interested in. Our one suggestion would be for Chan to be a little more communicative about what was next, so we would know whether to bring snacks or water with us. "

LES MAISONS D’ITAC: "A small but fantastic resort"

Review by: MrUppsala | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We spent a long weekend in the bamboo house at this small but beautiful resort. Great experience. You are sleeping 3 meters from the beach! You hear the waves and all kinds of sounds in the night, very relaxing. The atmosphere at the place is great. It is sort of at the end of the road, so there is no restaurants or things to do within walking distance. But the staff and the manager Bryan are very serviceminded and will help you with anything you want to do or go to. We recommend you to eat all meals at the resort and then there's no need to go anywhere else. Just stay at the resort and enjoy it. We would love to come back some day! "

Jing’s Residence: "Jing’s is an Amazing Experience!"

Review by: CosmoD1124 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Our family of four (kids ages 13 and 11) stayed 2 nights in 2 Courtyard Suites in June. The suites were directly across from each other in the first courtyard off of the hotel lobby. We wanted one room with 2 beds, but all the rooms have only one bed, which worked just fine because the beds are massive. The quality of the rooms and amenities is luxurious. Everything was spotless and tastefully done in a traditional Chinese courtyard style. The common areas of the hotel are fantastic. The hotel is expensive for Pingyao standards, but is a great value when considering the additional service and in-room amenities. The location is directly in the center of old town, but just off of the busiest pedestrian street. It is an easy walk to any restaurant or attraction in the old town. The beds were extremely comfortable and the hotel was very peaceful and quiet. Everyone slept great. The AC worked extremely well. Everything in the bathroom worked well, but was a little tight on space. There is limited light over the bathroom sink. The wifi worked well from our rooms. The service at the hotel is very high quality and everyone is extremely friendly. The breakfast is high quality, and made to order, but somewhat limited. Both western and eastern options are available. We also enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea both days, which was simple, but well done. We had an amazing experience at this hotel and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a unique traditional courtyard style hotel with fantastic service and all the modern amenities. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Pingyao."

Villa Song Saigon: "Oasis"

Review by: JohannaEmmaSofia | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel is a good choice if you wish to spend some time relaxing at the hotel. The location is not near the main sights but they are an easy taxi ride away, so we didn't find this a problem. If you enjoy cute and chic boutique hotels this is a good choice in saigon. The restaurant has spectacular view of the river. The breakfast was superb.

Maison Polanka: "A laid-back, leafy oasis"

Review by: Journeyman56 | Source: tripadvisor.com
We had the great fortune to follow the excellent reviews of Maison Polanka on these pages and booked to stay four nights in the Khmer House from June into July. The standalone house was wonderful, though as others have noted the staff, the food and the garden and pool area were the real highlights after a hot day looking at Siem Reap's famous temples. It does feel like you are staying with friends rather than a hotel. Would highlight the quality of the food; the package we booked provided two set course dinners - so good that while we did eat at restaurants in the town on our last night chose to have another set course dinner with the gardens and staff to ourselves. Highly recommended slice of life outside a big 5 star hotel.
