Reverie Siam: "My three days of heaven"

Review by: TheResidentTourist | Source: Trip Advisor
While visiting my son in Chiangmai he decided to take me to visit Pai, where we stayed in this beautiful hotel. I have been very fortunate to have travelled around many parts of the world, staying in many five star hotels, but this hotel has to be up there with the very best. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean comfortable beds, too comfortable that I didn't want to wake up! The shower was very hot and powerful, in fact ***** star. The food was excellent, so much so that we ate every meal there. The staff were first class very attentive. This is a hotel away from the buzz where you will find peace and quiet to enjoy style and comfort.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Don’t miss the boat!"

Review by: Hannah B | Source: tripadvisor.com
Loved this hotel - rooms are very large and generous (and like the fact that there is no TV), the pool area is the perfect place to relax, staff went out of their way to be super helpful. Views of the ocean are magical. The local indian food was very good, but Western options not up to the same standard (including at breakfast). The real highlight of staying here was going out for the night on the river boat in the backwaters. Super romantic, a really special experience. The staff made us feel very special, and the views are to die for.

Reverie Siam: "A slice of paradise"

Review by: alphachar | Source: Trip Advisor
"In 2014 we visited Reverie Siam just after they opened for one glass of wine ... and promised ourselves we'd come back to stay one day. So this holiday, we stayed there for just one night as a special treat on our holiday and it was even more wonderful than we thought it would be! The room (we were upgraded from a standard room to a villa at no extra cost) was stunning. The bathtub is literally bigger than our entire bathroom at home! The service was exceptional ... especially considering our grubby backpacker aesthetic. If you're looking for a treat, a retreat into another world - I recommend a stay here!"

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Fantastic.."

Review by: exbiztraveller | Source: Trip Advisor
"..international restaurant in a beautiful setting. Superb in every way, the class reflects the commitment of the chef, his wife and staff. We chose tasting menus, fabulous! Food is global but the setting overlooking a lake is pure Myanmar. Wonderful wine list at sensible prices for what you get. Special mention to thank the staff for assisting us at our second visit when one of us was taken ill. Helped us wonderfully and we were very grateful."

The Governor’s House: "An oasis in Phnom Penh"

Review by: Ming T | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Went to Phnom Penh for 3 nights on a business trip. This was my second trip to the city and checked into The Governor's House. Initially somewhat difficult to locate which caused some distress. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Tucked away just off a main thoroughfare, it is an oasis from the mad traffic of Phnom Penh. The establishment has only 12 rooms. After all it was a residence. And it certainly retained that warm homely feel. Once inside gate, one would enter into an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity - save for the play school next door. One may be deceived to think that this is an isolated location. There is a local market within a few minutes walk which offers a very interesting insight into the local life. I would recommend a morning visit. The establishment staff are warm and friendly adding to the homely atmosphere. While The Governor's House lacks the upscale look of other establishments near the tourist area closer to the river and palace, the warmth and tranquillity of this establishment more than make up for it. I will be coming back to The Governor's House again, soon."

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Very educational and interesting"

Review by: tackhoongcheong | Source: Trip Advisor
"Joined one of three conducted tours of the mansion available. The guide, Ben is simply the best I have ever come across. He speaks very well. Very informative and interesting background stories relating to the life of Cheong Fatt Tze and the life of others living in this mansion before it becomes what it is today. Worth every second of the two hours spent there. Could have been even better if more artifacts of the early days are on display. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"
