This hotel is one of my favourite places ever. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. (Although our home is not as luxurious!) The staff are warm, caring, attentive and interested. The grounds are immaculately cared for, and the beautiful flowers in our room every day were a wonderful touch. Every detail in the hotel and the grounds is a discovery. The welcome messages prepared for us at every meal made us feel so special. And the beach ... wow, what an awesome place to spend a holiday. This restaurant is best described" Simply the best Thai restaurant in Thailand " We went there after reading a few reviews and so happy we managed to get a table on our first night in Udon Thani. We got there at almost 9pm at the suggestion of the owner because there was a big group of guests at 8pm and he did not want us to wait long for our orders. We were a bit hungry when we got there and ordered more than what we could eat but at the suggestions of the owner we cut down a few dishes to save some spaces for their desserts. The desserts we had were " something to die for ". We enjoyed every dish we had. No need to guess where we went for dinner the following night. Service was also excellent and definitely very good for value. We wish there was a Samuay & sons in Bangkok.MesaStila: "Perfect!"

Situé à qq minutes du centre ville, c'est un véritable coup de coeur pour cet endroit plein de charme (bâtiments, décoration, jardins, piscines) avec un personnel aux petits soins pour ses invités. En effet, on se sent plus invités que clients tant les attentions sont multiples et toute la journée. Le restaurant est très bon. De même que le petit déjeuner simple mais raffiné (excellentes confitures maison). Ce lieu mérite d'y rester deux trois jours, pour s'imprégner de la douceur du Laos et se reposer entre deux visites de Luang Pradang. We spent four wonderful days in this Shangri-La situated in the Himalayan Mountains, surrounded by tea gardens, hikes through the tea gardens and tiny villages, scenery to paint, and of course wonderful tea picked at the estate. Each evening a delightful family meal, meeting fun and interesting people, and wonderful food from a different region each evening. A little off the beaten path, but worth the little extra effort to get to paradise.
