Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Perfection"
Quiet, relaxed, pampered, healthy and delicious food. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Wonderful little touches such as flowers on the beds and towels. Always flowers in charming stone basins around the property. Service was superb. Morning yoga jumpstarted my home practice. Perfect get away! The Island Lodge: "The Reason to Visit the Mekong Delta"
This is a beautiful property with amazing staff and service! The room was very clean, modern and spacious. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, the spa was great, and the property pristine. The owner, Michel, reached out to us directly after we made our reservation and offered transfers from Ho Chi Minh City and back at a reasonable price, which made logistics easy. Michel and his wife, Francoise, also greeted us upon arrival, adding a nice personal touch to our stay. We highly recommend taking advantage of some of the activities offered by the Island Lodge - we did the Seven Bridges Bicycle Tour and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Vietnam. But stay away from My Tho proper, the city really has nothing to offer; just enjoy the lodge, the island, and the river instead. If you are traveling to the Mekong delta, I cannot imagine a better place to stay than the Island Lodge - simply amazing.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "An excellent safari camp near to Sri Lanka’s finest wildlife park"
Outstanding Safari Camp - but please remember this is a CAMP, a safari experience, not a luxury hotel and as such tents in the bush are the order of the day. Nevertheless the camp is well done and maintained. The food was excellent and plentiful, mostly Sri Lankan cuisine. Noel and his partner Cecile are excellent hosts and his team of camp managers, cooks and guides are very professional and accommodating. The safari guides are extremely good, highly knowledgable and ethical in their wildlife policies. The safari vehicles are well appointed, up-to-date 4x4's - all important to me as a professional wildlife photographer. Yala National Park itself is just a short drive away from the camp, (at the time of my visit, camps and lodges are not permitted in the park itself) great wildlife encounters are frequent and the varied landscapes are stunning. Noel Rodrigo's is perhaps a little more expensive than the other camps, hotels and wildlife tours I saw out there, but for the personal attention, quality of the camp, vehicles, guides, food and service.... it is certainly worth it.Maison Polanka: "Maison Polanka"
This is a superior, magical place secluded from the hubbub yet only a few steps away from the main streets and central parts of the city. It's owners and staff are intelligent, graceful and always helpful to give you with the most courteous service. Their attitude is to provide you with memorable visit.Food, accommodations, and grounds are of the most pleasant and tasteful possible. Worth every bit of a visit and repeated stays.Of lovely place to experience and remember. The Apsara Rive Droite: "Excellent boutique hotel"
"Excellent choice for a quiet, rural experience. Nice garden with a good swimming pool. Large well designed rooms in rustic Lao-colonial way and with a large balcony/terrace. Service is great and personal. Breakfast is with fresh fruits, coffee, fresh juice, wonderful warm breads and croissants, and a choice of different eggs. Transport to the other side is quite easy. Free boat service for drop-off and pick-up thar worked flawlessly during our week. There is a bamboo-bridge a few hundred meters away (5000 Kip / 0.65 USD). You have to scale/climb a few flight of stairs that are a bit rickety. Free bicycles to cross on a small bridge a bit further away. Tuktuk to town is 50 KKip / 6 USD. Watch the monks alms ceremony by the temple a few hundred meters to the right from the reception ar 6:15 am. Almost no tourists, so respect this holy cermony with minimal intrusion. Take the road to the left where you reach a temple with a wonderful view over the river. Only problem we had was the WiFi, but we got a separate modem that worked really well."Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "my kwerky home in Bangkok"
Two families one with 5 people and the other with 4 people stayed in the 3 and 2 bed apartments for 3 nights.Definitely the best option for families and the 3 bed apartment had lots of sitting space in. The rooftop pool was long enough for serious lap swimming and very welcome after a hot and muggy day. Unfortunately the hot water system had broken down for the apartments and amazingly we were offered to move into another 3 bed apartment - found later that the owner used this for personal use as an overflow to his own apartment. We were entertaining some other friends the first evening , so had them cover over to us for drinks and we went downstairs to the restaurant for dinner and had our own private dining area.It seemed the restaurant is quite popular with many people from outside coming to eat here. The owner has collected all sorts of objects and paraphernalia which created the "kwerky"decor . The barman made some very good cocktails and his twist on G&T was awesome! It seemed that the whole place was run with only 4 to 5 staff who were jack of all from manning the front, to taking orders in the bar or the restaurant, offering room service and also acting as concierge - our Marigold in Bangkok!Mudanwan Villa: "Very comfortable stay memorable trip"
A parked five food meal of the trip make you feel sloppy, but will not eat too much discomfort, slowly on a road course, every kind of side dishes also carefully executed, like the fruit of it all day, can be a freshly-cut fruit anytime, anywhere. The park has its own lake, with its own spa, with its own swimming pool, free Shihai can go to a nearby borrow a bicycle around the wound. In fact, the whole trip is to stay comfortable with two words to describe, would not say what really incredible place but just a good space, just good service, just a good atmosphere, just good food, it all just right on he created a specialHeritage Suites Hotel: "Best hotel of our trip"
Our guide told us there are 400 hotels in Siem Reap, well I am pleased we stayed at heritage suites. We enjoyed the pick up in the old car and the welcome drink and towels. I had booked the basic room as we did not expect to spend much time in the room and was delighted to to escorted to one of the garden suites. We voted it the best room we had of all the rooms on our trip. The service of the staff was excellent. Enjoyed happy hour and a light lunch by the pool. We booked our tour of Angkor wat through the hotel and it was well worth it our guide was excellent and managed to make the tour as individual as possible and I did not feel one of the masses and his knowledge of the temples and his insight into Cambodia was superb. A wonderful end to our trip around Vietnam and Cambodia my only regret was that we only had two nights .4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Amazing experience"
"It was my first time to go ""glamping"" with my family and we have certainly set the standard very high by staying at 4Rivers. The rooms/tents were phenomenal - they were very well kept and had everything we could possibly need to have a comfortable rest after a day's adventure. The food was also great - the best we had in Cambodia! The service was fantastic - polite and gracious at every turn - from front desk, to housekeeping, to the chef and to the manager - everyone made sure that we had a lovely stay - and that we surely did. We were also fortunate enough to meet some of the elders from the local community and were able to better appreciate 4Rivers' strong corporate social responsibility. Needless to say, we had a memorable and amazing experience and can't wait to be back."Villa Mathis: "Fantastic stay in a little piece of paradise"
"Stayed in La Villa Mathis for three days and enjoyed every bit of it. Me and my travel companion tremendously enjoyed the quiet ambience of the villa and the villa manager Christian was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The villas have several swimming pools secluded from one to another and we felt like it is reserved specially for us! What a treat! The villa is located quite near with Seminyak strip and the villa staffs will assist you in arranging the transportation. The room was designed in a very thoughtful details and we felt like we can really switch off and rejuvenate in this place. Overall it is an absolutely amazing stay and we definitely will come back to Villa Mathis!"
