The Cabochon Hotel: "Exceptional hotel"
Beautiful hotel - lovely furnishings and stylish rooms. The staff were extremely helpful, spoke good English and upgraded us for free! Food also great - free breakfast was good (lots of choice) and the lunch we had was also delicious.Satri House: "elegant and family friendly"
we stayed as 2 parents, 2 children and a grandparent. We were conveniently given 2 adjoining rooms, both gorgeous and spacious. Satri house is larger than expected and very pretty, I kept getting lost on the way to breakfast! The 2 swimming pools were fantastic and refreshing. The staff were all very friendly, even when we were struggling to communicate! Julie and Gianni are very helpful and kind. My husband loved their Lao whiskey! One morning we got up at 4.30am to see the morning alms. However we found there were monks just in front of the hotel which was very beautiful to see. Our kids treasure the little Hill tribe dolls they were each given as we sadly departed. Although it is not right in the heart of Luang Prabang, it was an easy walk and easier tuk tuk away. Highly recommended!Slow Villas and Spa: "Great place to stay"
Staff were really nice, villas are quiet, beautiful and clean. Not far from the sea. Really relaxing, perfect for families and couples and friends. Breakfast were delicious! I was really pleased during the 3 days i stayed. I hope i will have the chance to come back.Satri House: "Fantastic stay. Lovely location and great service"
Satri house was a great experience overall. Lovely location on a quiet (well usually, see below) residential street 5 mins from "town". Great service, lovely clean rooms and amazing little edible treats left in the rooms every afternoon. The pool area is small so loungers are limited but there is a second pool area if needs be. The restaurant serves a really nice breakfast and although we only ate dinner their once that was great too. The spa was good. Not amazing but not bad. There were two downsides - the number of mosquitos which were ridiculous and almost certainly bred in the large pond by reception/the restaurant - the stagnant water must be heaven on earth for them. At any one time we had a least 10 in our room and never left the windows or doors open. The 4 poster bed with curtains helped keep the blood sucking critters at bay at night. The other downside whilst we were there was the non stop loud dance music coming from the festival next door combined with the karaoke on the street behind the pool for national women's day. We found it rather amusing but I doubt I would have felt the same if I had been there too much longer - plus our air con and fan helped drown out some of the noise when we were in the room. Despite the two issues I would definitely stay there again and loved our trip.Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "What a great experience"
"I spend 3 nights at this beautiful Hanok and it was an amazing experience ! Rakkojae is in the hearth of Bukchon, in a very quiet alley. But still, its in the centre of Seoul, Anguk Subway Station is just 5 minutes away, and plenty of restaurants, sights, shops etc. are in easy walking distance (...) Dinner and breakfast are included, and are traditional and very tasty. You can also have a continental breakfast with toast and eggs if you prefer. Korean breakfast was with smoked fish (very tasty), abalone porridge (tasty, but a bit too excotic for me as a breakfast dish) and I was glad that on the third morning (I had continental breakfast on the second morning) there was a tasty soup instead of the porridge. The ladies who run Rakkojae are very friendly. I tried the Mud Sauna on the 3rd night and liked it a lot (so I wish I had tried it on the first night already). Overall, I loved it at Rakkojae, and can only recommend it. Its an amazing and beautiful place, that words can really describe. You have to go there and experience it yourself. And if you can, stay for at least 2 nights."The Cabochon Hotel: "Quiet and close to everything"
We stayed recently for three nights and had a wonderful stay. This property is just off Sukhumvit Rd but very quiet and peaceful. Beautifully decorated property with eclectic pieces throughout. Our room was small but very elegant, filled with scent of lemongrass when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful linens. Breakfast is served in the library and bar areas at comfy casual sofas. We couldn't go past the pork skewers, sticky rice and spicy sauce. Great coffee and mandarin juice were also really delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They strike just the right balance between providing great service when needed and leaving you to it the rest of the time. We ate at the restaurant with friends on our last night. The food was amazing and we got to try a few new things. All together, a great stayLe Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "One of Asia’s best"
Modern Thai at its best with this award winning restaurant with it talented young Chef whose partner does a mean wine pairing to go with your meal. Highly recommendedMesaStila: "Thank you so much for a memorable stay"
"It is now a little more than a week ago since we left MesaStila after a very memorable 4 nights stay, and we wish we were still there. The scenic location takes your breath away when you arrive and during your stay, and we never got tired admiring the 8 volcanoes in the different light during the day, and the all so green and lush vegetation all over the resort. The villas are amazing; we stayed in a Arum villa and from the huge balcony enjoyed a beautiful view to the treetops and distant volcanoes. Everything inside the villa was perfect, and food served in the restaurant very delicious and well prepared especially the indonesian dishes we had for dinner. If you are into bicycling the resort has very good mountainbikes to use, and we can recommend to cycle the small country roads to Grabac and back; Java countryside at its best. And just as important: the very kind, good humored and helpful staff also made our stay unforgettable! Thank you to all the staff from grateful guests, we hope to come back. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Locavore: "Amazing lunch"
we really enjoyed the lunch. So amazing. And the service also great too. Wanna go again for dinner. It's so hard to book the time.Maison Polanka: "Way Beyond What We Expected"
We are swept off our feet with the warm reception given us at this beautiful property. We had a perfect stay and we are certainly coming back. We have been to Angkor/Siem Reap before and we were quite particular that this trip would not be a standard Angkor visit. The maison and their staff were very sensitive to our preferences and made every effort to make us feel truly at home.
