Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "A superb, ecologically responsible, luxury holiday close to nature"
"A wonderful location immediately adjacent to the park, you cannot camp inside, An oasis of tranquility, superb hospitality and eco-responsibility that sets it apart from other safari operations serving Yala National Park. Delivers true luxury, superb food while maintaining a very low impact. Thoughtful, highly knowledgeable guides and drivers, that clearly love and respect the wildlife and habitats. The camp is spacious, well laid out, and has a charming 'homely' feel, as a guest you feel like a member of an extended family. The three meals a day are fresh, local, wonderfully presented Sr Lankan cuisine, with spicing tempered to the guest preferred palate. Noel (the owner), Praneeth (my guide and companion) and Priyantha (driver/ waiter/ and magically at hand, smiling at every turn) were all superb. Great for anyone with a interest in wildlife, not just leopard spotting, who wants to experience and be close to nature in a sustainable manner. An immense knowledge of the park and its environs, working in partnership with the park staff: a member of the park service and/or wildlife department joined our vehicle and assisted with spotting and interpretation of likely animal locations given prevailing conditions. Specialist, 4WD land cruisers, fitted 6/7 guest open-sided viewing platforms. In truck refreshments, guide books, binoculars and viewing aids, everything you could need to hand. Responsibly driven inside and outside of the park, unlike many others that clearly were not. I cannot wait to return again. Thank you guys."Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazingly relaxing holiday"
"We stayed one week at Slow Private Pool villas and had the most amazing and relaxing time; just what we needed. The staff went out of there way to help us. Slow has the most helpful and accommodating staff. The Slow Spa is wonderful. Gili Air itself is already a perfect island getaway with a tranquil vibe and Slow Villas only enhances that feeling. Fabulous holiday! We will certainly come back."The Cabochon Hotel: "Home away from home"
We loved staying at the hotel, it felt like a home away from home. We were three generations staying there, and we enjoyed it immensely. The staff is professional, accommodating and very welcoming. We will absolutely return. The Island Lodge: "Excellent"
Loved this place with the super friendly staff, the welcoming owner, the huge room, the tour which we took and was guided by an excellent guide. I highly recommend for a couple of days after the busy Ho Chi Min City, it’s like a peaceful heaven. They were very flexible on check out timing too and let us stay for a couple of more hours.Muang La Lodge: "formidable"
Great room overlooking the river. Magnificent bathroom. Raphael and Mathilde are enough for their guests. high-end kitchen, we feasted. The activities are very interesting, beautiful walks in the forest, great track for minority ethnic groups and the descent of the river Nam Ouh is superb. Dream stay at this property which employs people from surrounding villages.Cuca: "Brilliant Taste and Service"
My fiance brought me here on our anniversary last year. From the beginning upon arrival until farewell, we had a spotless service. The staff is highly attentive, yet undisturbed our romantic moment. Perfect! The food? can't ask for more. You should experience yourself for Chef Kevin's masterpiece in this beautiful restaurant. Thank you Cuca and team for the lovely dinner. You guys are amazing! The Island Lodge: "Fantastic paradise getaway from the city"
"The Island Lodge is a superb, boutique hotel located in an idyllic setting in the Mekong Delta. The staff is so attentive, polite and cheerful. The cuisine is exemplary, both Vietnamese and French. We took all of our meals at the lodge and loved every single one. One of our favorites was the freshly baked bread served at each meal. We didn't take the chance to explore Unicorn Island; we just wanted to relax at the lodge and have no regrets. It was so peaceful, calm and relaxing there! We loved the swimming pool which looks out to the Mekong River. The attention to detail by the proprietors, Michel and Francoise, is evident throughout the lodge as their collection of artifacts, sculptures, art and decorations is tastefully placed throughout the property. We stayed for two nights with a 7 year old child and will definitely return! Highly recommended."Misool: "EXISTE PARAISO NA TERRA"
Paraíso perdido no planeta terra.David’s Kitchen: "One of the best meals I’ve had"
Incredible food, amazing service, and a nice but unpretentious atmosphere. David came by and had a conversation with each of the tables to make sure we were happy. I loved every minute of it, highly recommended.Pindaya Farm House: "Such a peaceful place – a true bliss"
"Pindaya Farm House was our final stay on our little tour around Myanmar. We stayed 3 nights and it was absolutely wonderful! I have previously stayed at the Farm House when it just opened and was a new promising place; a lot has changed since then, hence a new review. The staff and of course the owner and manager Aye Aye are all amazing and super helpful, the place is a true bliss, the food is divine, and the garden is slowly showing its lush character. We had great drinks, great wine, peace and quietness. We warmed up in front of the fire place, we had long walks in the area, cycled around on the house’s well maintained bicycles, and we visited the beautiful caves of Pindaya, which are highly recommendable. We received helpful advice for what to do and how. The only suggestion I would like to make is for the Farm House to sort out the hot water – we didn’t have any hot water while there and given we came from Samkar where hot water was also scarce then we were getting rather eager for a hot shower…. All in all Pindaya remains one of my favourite places to visit and we could easily have chilled another day there with our books, coffee and on the terrace…. A highly recommendable place to visit."
