Arumdalu: "Calming Escape from Urban Life"
"If you ever find yourself in a sea-tuation in need for a peaceful green retreat and a doze of Vitamin Sea, then the answer you're looking for is Arumdalu Private Resort in Belitung. My first-ever trip to Belitung and Arumdalu surpassed all my expectations of a private resort in a small developing island- less known than Bali. We stayed a total of three days and two nights. Absolutely ah-ma-zing! Throughout our stay, the staff members are all very friendly, extremely polite, and offer helpful services 24/7. On my very first night, we were having trouble with the wifi connection from our multiple devices. It was past midnight when I called the front desk for assistance. The receptionist assisted us for a long time over the phone and maintained his professionalism all throughout. We were very thankful for his patience and kindness. The whole facility is really gorgeous, with beautiful architectural details and greenery. Everything seems to be thoughtfully designed and managed for the sole purpose of comfort and privacy. This place offers absolute privacy (underlined and bolded.) On top of its general secluded location and the private beach, each villa is designed with complete privacy in mind: gated entrance, dense greenery as partitions between villas, and a personal swimming pool. There is also a sense of exclusivity through minimal interaction with the staff on daily basis. For instance, there is no specific timeframe for room cleaning service and the staff wouldn't knock on your door to clean up your space. Everything is only a phone call away. How convenient! Another highlight is ‘Sahang Beachfront’ restaurant. The restaurant evokes a strong cozy ambiance. The wooden glassed space with home-styled table decorations creates an extremely familiar intimacy. The veggies and fruits used as ingredients are organically grown and freshly picked from in their own garden. Bottom-line: the food here is worth the calories to satisfy your palate. Personal side note, as an architect that values design and craftsmanship as well as an avid believer of living a sustainable lifestyle, I feel an overwhelming sense of satisfaction staying in a resort that proactively shows and promotes its core values of their thoughtful quality design and eco-friendliness. Oh! Did I mention that I saw 6 dolphins by the shore while waiting for sunrise? Such a therapeutic comfort. Personally recommend Arumdalu to those seeking for a calming luxurious natural escape from urban life Stayed February 2017, traveled with family"Rachamankha: "Old City Oasis"
Traveling from the Chiang Mai Airport we encountered a buzz of traffic including autos, tuk-tuks and a swarm of scooters and small motorcycles. Crowded, bussling, narrow streets apperared to be the norm. Then our driver turned onto a side street and pulled into the calm and quiet of Rachamankha. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant where gracious and attentive. The grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. We spent a few quiet hours by the tranquil pool. Great experince.Supanniga Eating Room: "Excellent Isan food"
"Here is a place to go to enjoy real Isan Thai food. We have been there several times already and tried many different dishes. All are freshly made, tasty, not too spicy if you do not forget to mention and nicely presented ... A very good option if you want to discover and change from other traditional Thai food. Very good service too!"Tugu Bali: "Very lovely"
"A true TUGU experience. Peaceful, good service. They have a lawn area with direct access to the beach.Turn left and the beach goes on forever and it's a clean beach too (a rarity in Indonesia). Anyway the room are beautiful, it has a lovely garden and as usual the hotel is full of antiques and artifacts. To note: The rooms upstairs have access via a spiral staircase, it quite steep. (this might be a consideration for some if you have mobility restrictions or don't like heights) The restaurant was good but pricey for the quality (I'm used to Jakarta price/quality ratio)"Tugu Lombok: "Fantastic"
"I left Tugu hotel today and I must say it beat all expectations. The Rooms are beautiful, the food is amazing and service unbeatable. I was not expecting anything like this. There are 35 rooms, I think 22 were occupied when I was there but it felt like the hotel was empty (which is great). They organised a lovely snorkelling trip for us and a visit to the waterfalls. Unfortunately words can't do justice to the impeccable service and beautiful setting. If you are looking for a party hotel this is not it. But if you are looking for peace and quiet, there is nowhere else to go. "The Apsara Rive Droite: "Lovely quiet place in Luang Prabang"
We chose to stay at the Apsara Rive Droite because it is close to the old town of Luang Prabang (without being in it) and on the banks of the river. The hotel is small but has everything you need: charming + helpful staff, swimming pool, delicious breakfast, a boat to take you across the river to the old town, bicycles and lots of recommendations of things to do. We had a great stay and would recommend anyone going to Luang Prabang for a few days to stay here.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "The best views in all of Pokhara"
"What a magical stay this was! With breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain range right from your balcony any time of day, the views alone are worth the stay. When the skies are clear, and if you ask, the staff will come to your room and wake you up so you can watch the sun rise from the mountains -- a view that will bring you to tears. Meals are included in the price -- the chef cooks the best Nepali curries I've ever had the pleasure of trying. The estate itself is lovely, quaint, lodge-like and smack right in the middle of nature. The hotel itself is also part of the Pack for a Purpose initiative -- where you can pack school supplies and give them to a school at a local village nearby. Another truly authentic and beautiful experience. I'd go again in a heart beat next time I find myself in Pokhara."Rachamankha: "Excellent boutique hotel with great service"
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in November at this wonderful hotel and felt totally at home throughout. The ambiance of the hotel was perfect, very peaceful and serene. The whole layout of the building was beautiful with lovely antique Asian furniture, a nice outdoor swimming pool and a cosy library. The library was well stacked with books and also had the benefit of having 2 PC's where we were able to plan our trips and look up local restaurants, even printing out the information we needed on the spot. The bedroom was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and free WiFi was available throughout the building. The hotel was perfectly located, a very close walk from the Old Town. It also had the added benefit (from our perspectives) of being a non-smoking establishment throughout. The service was first class from all the staff and the breakfasts were delicious. The hotel manager Paul Walker was especially helpful and proactive, giving us many useful tips both for our stay in Chiang Mai and also Bangkok. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Chiang Mai as it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your stay. We will definitely book there again the next time we visit.Hotel Tugu Bali: "Unforgettable experience"
"My partner & I stayed with Tugu for a weekend and had the most unforgettable time. We were greeted by the PR of the hotel who gave us a detailed and wonderful tour of the place. Annisa showed us Tugu's very own museums and temples located at the front of the hotel, which is also opened to the public. The spa at Tugu is a must, we stayed in Bali for 1 month and had numbers of massage and the treatments at the Spa here is by far the most impressive. Perfect sunset watching point at Ji by The Terrance at the hotel which also serves amazing sushi and cocktails. Breakfast & Dinner in the hotel were perfect, a great mix of western and Indonesian food with impeccable services. Our room was perfect for a couple and has a breathtaking view of the lotus pond in the hotel overlooking Echo beach. We had an incredible time and would definitely come back. 10/10 Thank you again for such an incredible stay."MesaStila: "Peace and Silent"
I stayed on weekday and I impressed with service of the staff, the landscape, the view, the touch of luxury in this resort. this experience remind me of my childhood memories. for you who are looking for a place to escape from busy and noisy city life, mesa is a great place to be consider.
