"We went there in Aug . We arrived early and the staff was very accomodative..they gave us room at 7 in the morning.Rooms are clean and have partially open baths,wooden floor and furniture give a elegant look.You can always walk down to beach,though not as good/clean when compared to others in kerala.They have a very good pool with great view of sea.Food is ok ,the chef is always ready for ur wishes. I came here for lunch by myself and was amazed by the pleasant environment. I sat at the garden and the staff nicely put 2 fans facing me. The food was great - I had beef tartare which was marinated with local herbs and topped with plenty of parmesan cheese. I also had the fish amok which is a classic Khmer dish. Spent 4 days at Hotel Tugu at the end of a brief trip around Indonesia with the family. This is an excellent hotel on the beach. It has some amazing buildings and antiques which make it unique but the best bit is the happy and attentive staff. The kids even got taught how to make animals from the bath towels by the housekeeper. "French Colonial Property (in District 2) overlooking the Saigon River .... immaculate ... superb !!! Everything about VILLA SONG was superb, including it's location ... so close to the city BUT far enough away, allowing you to fit into the groove of trendy District 2's ever-changing residential area) Friendly staff and very very helpful. Courtesy river transport to and from the city. Grounds magnificent. Pool sparkling. Rooms in keeping with French Colonial theme ... so relaxing ... rain or shine. Breakfast delicious and fine dining at restaurant ... superb. Anything they could do to help you enjoy your stay ... they did. Davids Kitchen is located 15 mins drive from the old town, but it definitely worth a visit if you are in Chiang Mai and for special occasion. You would be amazed by the garden when you first arrive. The food is fantastic and staffs would give you great recommendation if you are not sure what to order. David was also in the restaurant and making sure every guest is enjoying the dinner. We also got a little sweet surprise at the end of the dinner. Would definitely come again.
