Sanak Retreat Bali: "INCREDIBLE!"
"We stayed at Sanak in early January of 2015. Unfortunately it's taken me this long to review them! After arriving on a particularly rainy afternoon, we were greeted by the lovely staff in their bar/reception area. I was blown away by the incredible view that lay before me. The hotel is nestled right on top of farmed rice paddies so provided an amazing taste of the real Bali. The food was particularly impressive. The menu has a French/Balinese fusion twist; and every meal they served us was amazing quality. It's truly a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta. I was a little worried about becoming ""bored"" due to the quite, but the constant massages, yoga and laying by the pool quickly calmed those nerves. One of the people in the group I stayed with even got the chance to work the rice fields with the locals, yet again adding to the authenticity! Couldn't recommend the place any more highly. Loved it! "Talabgaon Castle Heritage Resort: "An absolute delight"
"We accidentally stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to spend the night due to unwanted delays during our road trip and it was an absolute delight. The castle itself is breathtakingly beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is highly courteous. We were welcomed like family despite the odd hour. Our caterer Sandeep deserves a special mention here who made our stay even more memorable. The food was delicious and the hospitality that went with it was amazing. Pool is very well maintained. Room was very good and comfortable. Above all every effort was made to meet all our requirements. We booked a camel ride at a very short notice causing them a lot of inconvenience. But the camel was not feeling well. Being animal lovers, we felt extremely happy about the humane treatment that was given to that animal. The manager apologized profusely, despite it not being his fault, and did not charge a single rupee for the cancelled ride. Kudos to you Mr. Singh for running the amazing show. There is no downside. Even the slightly bad road leading to the castle is totally worth the experience. Only regret is we could not stay longer due to further commitments and therefore we are planning to visit soon with family."Jing’s Residence: "An Asian Oasis of Calm"
Quietly unassuming plain wooden doors lead into this beautifully crafted small hotel and restaurant. We were offered tea and honey roasted dates as we sat down to register and then shown to an exquisite bedroom with with a warm wooden floor, huge bed on a wooden platform and a perfect bathroom. What a relief to find a room with no television but with lovely pictures, curtains and furniture. Tea comes in three loose leaf varieties and a bowl of tangerines was a nice touch. We dined in the beautiful restaurant on honey and ginger roasted chicken, stir fried beef and vegetables with rice and two glasses of really excellent Chinese wine. An unusual and wonderful small hotel set within the busking car free streets of this fascinating walled city. The Hue House: "Awesome place"
Amazing views and charming atmosphere that brings you to the ancient Vietnam. Superb Vietnamese food and excellent service. I truly recommend it in Saigon.Tugu Bali: "Amazing Tugu experience"
Amazing food, cocktails and atmosphere! The dancers were beautiful - this made our trip! Thank you to the waiting staff and dancers for catering to our large group :) we will definitely be back again!THE ISLAND LODGE: "a very gracious , relaxing & peaceful… Francois had the loveliest of smiles"
"A very gracious, relaxing & peaceful place in My Tho Mekong. Francios had the loveliest of smile that radiated pure happiness. the staff had very good manners and were genteel.cheers Luci you could see the Mekong, setting sun and did not have to walk 1km to rooms. warmth and hospitality radiated through out the place. "LEOPARD SAFARIS - WILPATTU: "Highlight of our trip"
"We booked our safari with Noel's leopard safaris after reading the other reviews even though initially we thought it seemed expensive. The whole thing was brilliant, our camp host and safari guide Pila, is a walking encyclopedia and wildlife expert. He also has eyes like a hawk and an amazing ability to spot hidden wildlife. We arrived each morning as the park opened and though there were never many other jeeps he always lost them. Possibly beginners luck, we saw 2 leopards and a sloth bear on our first safari, along with a miriad of smaller mammals and gorgeous birds. Then on our last trip finally saw 2 elephants. This would have been enough but in addition the tents are comfortable and the food delicious. If you are not sure don't hesitate you won't regret it. "Reverie Siam Pai: "Best couple getaway in Pai"
This could be one of the best kept secret place in Pai. We stayed in a mountain view suite which is very spacious. The hotel is so lovely and the food at the main restaurant is so good that we were really reluctant to go anywhere. A perfect stay!MesaStila: "My retreat"
"MesaStila is truly a gem! It was a great getaway from the city with breathtaking view of Andong n Mt Merapi! Weather was cool as it was up in the mountains! We tried Turkish Hammam & it was an amazing experience! Totally clean n refreshed after the treatment.. Variety of food was reasonable & very delicious.. we were totally pampered by this resort n their staff! One thing- I thought the pillow n bed was a little too soft.. and perhaps, u might want to include cooking lessons for your in-house activities.. more variety would be great for your guests who are staying for a longer period.."Locavore: "amazing restaurant"
"e went for a lunch 7 courses menu. food was delicious. every plate presented was a big wow and then hmmmmm! service is courteous and efficient. sometimes hard to understand the ingredients and feel waiters are just reciting the names without putting too much passion into it. but they get things done. the cocktail pairing is left a bit to be desired.. some are a bit too strong compared to the food. suggest to order wine/cocktails a la carte worth every cent and every minute of your time. if you happen to be in ubud and some budget to spare, go to locavore."
