"When we googled the ""Best fine dining in Chiang Mai"", David's Kitchen popped up which left us no choice but to try it. Online booking system made the booking so easy and convenient while the transportation services offered just made the life of a tourist couple easier. The architecture and the decoration were so exquisite and appropriate while the greens just somehow blent into modern buildings. Oyster for appetiser is a must with the fresh taste and unique sauce. For the main course, we ordered the beef cheek and a steak. With a bottle of Pinot noir, the food upgraded the fine restaurant towards perfection. Staffs were undoubtedly helpful and nice, providing all the fantastic recommendations. And we were so thrilled that Mr. David came to us and shared his story with us, putting a perfect ending note towards the night. My husband and I got certified in scuba to come here, and it was worth everything. Facilities were wonderful considering mission of resort. If I had vacation time and money, I would bring my three kids there tomorrow. House reef was such a lovely snorkel opportunity. Food was delicious, as long as one can let go of Western thoughts. I personally found nudibranchs, scorpion fish, and a frog fish (fist bump!) and saw mandarin fish on dusk dive. For the bird addicts, we saw wild sulfur crested cockatoos on the resort island. I will budget to get here again asap with my kids. Dive master took great care of us... (Hugs to Kiikii, despite my great faith that he was Benny). Wait staff was always ready with an eager selamat pagi for early breakfast. Getting here is difficult, but As noted above, I would come back in a heartbeat. Shout out to Mark, Sue and Calvin. The leg rowers skillfully guide your long boat into the dock and you are then transported to serene peaceful surroundings. We were welcomed by the local Burmese cats in the lobby. Magnificent creatures and very friendly. Our mountain view room was everything you could want, right down to the free mini bar. The property is gorgeous, the meals in the restaurant are delicious. Unique breakfast additions on the complimentary buffet. We sat on the decking gazing over the water and watched the sunset which was beautiful. Our next day we indulged in massages by two skillful young ladies which were heaven. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone. "We were staying next door at the Ahimsa Villas and popped in here for last minute dinner before we flew home I wish we had more time - it was amazing - tapas type dishes - all superbly presented. Beautiful, beautiful, rural location. You feel completely out of touch of the modern world and utterly in touch with nature and your surroundings. Amazing spa, best massages of my life and beautiful products to be bought here. As a real yogi I loved the yoga on the beach every morning free of charge! The food was delicious and the staff were so accommodating to my slightly poorly stomach (from previously in my trip) and made me food of the menu to keep me perky!Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Best in Mrauk-U"
"Excellent rustic hotel in Mrauk U. The hotel has its own jetty that takes about 4:30 hours from Sittwe airport. Sunrise breakfast charge 150 for 5 people to watch the sunrise in the the mountain and have breakfast there. Bicycles are available for rent for $5 for full day and $3 for half day. The pool in the middle of the lotus flower lake is great but the water is cold. Breakfast is included; for other meals the restaurant has a vast menu priced in USD. Can't go wrong with the curry, coconut rice (not found on the menu) and the lentil soup . The Internet rarely works but then again who cares when you are immersed in history. Tucked away down a maze of non-descipt unpaved lane, the gates open, and you are in a little slice of paradise. A garden you can tell has been tended for with love and care. Traditional wooded huts on stilts that house 5 rooms. Each room is different, spacious, simple and tasteful decor. We stayed 4 nights in the Yellow Room and loved it: it's at the far end, so very quiet. Loved the lemongrass essence burning when we checked in. Windows looking out to greenery. Bed is very comfortable. The bathrooom is spacious and bright with very high ceiling and a skylight. There is a smallish but beautiful pool, we had a swim every day after a morning's sight-seeing, then lunch at the pool side restaurant. The food is delicious: my first taste of Cambodian, a bit like Thai and Vietnamese, but more delicate flavours. Dinner at the pool side is wonderful, quiet, great food, great wine, very attentive service. There is a dog, a rabbit, a cat...Don't stay in a run-of-the-mill 5 star chain, I warmly recommend Maison Polanka, it's a stay you will rememberSanak Retreat Bali: "Moment de repos exceptionnel"
"Deux nuits dans ce petit établissement de charme. La vue est extraordinaire, l'hôtel est au milieu des rizières, l'atmosphère de paix et de sérénité est unique! Les chambres sont des bungalows répartis un peu partout. Jolie déco, très propre. Wifi quasi inexistant. Les cocktails de fruits sont à tomber et le spa de grande qualité. N'hésitez pas à vous faire masser. Les petits déjeuner sont à la carte et très bons également. Le mie goreng le matin est super bon. En revanche je pense qu'ils pourraient rajouter automatiquement du pain et viennoiseries pour tous les petits déjeuner, même pour le petit dej balinais. Les portions ne sont pas hyper copieuses. Le restaurant pour le diner est super, nous nous sommes régalés! Allez y les yeux fermés cet endroit à une âme!"
