Rachamankha: "Pretty courtyard hotel"
"* Lovely property - stunning courtyards * Nice restaurant * Big pool * Efficient service - if a bit stand-offish - not a major critcism though * Good number of relaxed social areas Would recommend it as a good place to stay - Top end and a good experience"Tandjung Sari: "Beautiful, relaxing, great atmosphere"
"A lovely older style resort in Sanur away from the madness of Kuta/Legian. We stayed in a lovely 2 storey ocean front bungalow, just a few steps to the beach, The grounds of the hotel are lovely as is the pool and outdoor eating areas. Breakfast is very good, in fact all the food here is top quality. All staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again"MesaStila: "Head Over Heels In Love with This Place"
"I just fell head over heels in love with this place. It's a hidden gem. Totally underrated. Breathtaking views of the mountains and sunset, personalized service and true Javanese hospitality. We got a villa with a mountain view and it was worth paying a bit more for it. We enjoyed the tour of the property's coffee plantation and the spa. My eight-year-old son enjoyed horse riding through the village surrounding the resort. I also went trail running with by their awesome fitness manager. It's one of my most memorable experiences going up and down slopes through the property's coffee plantation, on jungle trails, past beautiful paddy terraces as the local villagers greeted us. Would I go back? It's a definite yes."Chakrabongse Villas: "Romantic getaway"
"Secluded behind a nondescript door lay the ancient palace grounds of Chakrabongse. Once you step inside you are out of the beaten tourist paths of the surrounding Grand Place and nearby temples. Each of the 6 unique ""rooms"" has its special features. Our Thai house overlooked the main courtyard leading to the river. A lot of space and a generous balcony added to the feeling of your own private residence. The meticulously trimmed gardens and the pool next to the river make this place an oasis. Restaurant facilities are limited though. You are served a set Thai dinner that is generous in portions but leaves no choices or alterations. The wine list is also limited but is designed to compliment the food. Last service is at 8pm. The staff (in our case singular) had troubles to keep up with service. I would recommend this place for a luxury weekend but there might be better food options outside."Sea Dance Resort: "Sea Dance"
"Super customer service from the very moment I stepped upon Sea Dance. Greeted by very friendly staff everywhere I went, including all the staff at the restaurant and bar area. Stayed at a villa that was well thought out, with an outdoor toilet and shower room that provided full privacy. Exceptionally clean."Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "Excellent!"
Atmosphere and food was absolutely worth the price tag of the cruise. Staff and everyone working was friendly and did a excellent job.David’s Kitchen: "A Highlight of Our Trip"
Food: Delicious! I ordered an Asian dish (seared tuna with lemon grass) and my friend ordered a European dish (braised meat on potato mash with heavenly gravy), and both were SCRUMMY! We also got the flight of soups -- YUM! The squash soup and the pea soup were especially bright and flavorful -- I say this as someone who usually won't order either on a normal night. The lobster bisque was full of lobster (which is oddly not a given in my experience). David is an expat Brit and a charmer. Lovely man! He stopped by our table throughout the night, extolling stories about the family recipes behind his signature dishes, as well as his own mind-blowing travel experiences. The reservation page is a breeze, and best of all it asks if you'd like transportation to take you to and from the restaurant, which in a click brought a car to our hotel lobby at reservation time and made travel to the restaurant effortless. (We all agree the travel option on the reservation page is brilliant.) We will be back!!Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Lovely hotel and fantastic young staff"
You would be surprised to find that this a training school for young people, funded by the owner of the other luxury hotel Inle Princess Resort. The hotel is nicely appointed and built as stilt houses on water. There are only a few rooms so it is very private and exclusive. The young staff are well trained and helpful so service is on par with any luxury hotel. Food is great. Highlight of the day for us was having a beer at the bar and watched the sun set. Out of this world.Villa Song Saigon: "Is Villa Song as good as before"
We visited Villa Song in May 2015. Our review was a bit gushing but accurate. We finally made it back for our second visit hoping it would be as good.......it is better. If you were to write a handbook as to how to run a 5 Star boutique hotel, start with Villa Song. Nothing is left to chance. The staff are professional, friendly, efficient and so happy. The rooms are stylish and very comfortable. The pool and public areas are excellent. The restaurant puts out superb, beautifully presented food created by Chef Kevin and his brigade - you won't get bored with his brilliant and evolving menu. A guest asked for a drink from the bar that the bar staff were not familiar with. My wife told them the ingredience but before they gave it to the guest, they mixed two and brought them to our room to see which was better before mixing it for their guest.....service? I could go on and on about the hotel. In my first review I said that they treat you like an honored guest. This time we felt like friends. Who knows - next time we may be treated like family and have to make our bed and wash our own dishes...we will still be back as soon as we can. 'Our Second Home'The Cabochon Hotel: "A Gem in the Heart of Bangkok"
"This is it! Don't come here to find the latest gadgets in comfort for the decerned business traveler, but make a visit to the past yet excellent in style and service. Enjoy the wonderful surroundings of a truly colonial style. What makes it all a really very nice experience is the personal service! Yes it is a kind of home. Your size is also comfortable as you will never get lost in a huge building, but you could get ""lost"" with all the nice decorations and artifacts probably from a personal collection. The restaurant serving a Thai fare is excellent. Also here the nice personal touch. Keep it up this way! You are definitely carving a very special place in the heart of Bangkok. Please do not be in a hurry here, as sometimes the Sukhumvit travel get you stranded. But then there is the BTS nearby!"
