Stayed 4N. Fantastic all round services, food, location, hotel ambience. Highly reccomend. Travel from Surabaya a/p to Malang not so convenient -by car took us 3 hrs. Return to Surabaya by executive train to Gubeng, city station- no stress 2 hrs.NEELESHWAR: "Heavenly peace!"
"Everything about the Hermitage was wonderful - the room, the bed, the pillows, the care taken to make sure everything was perfect, the food, the off site activities offered ( alt bought these were expensive) Forewarned, we had pre- ordered full board to avoid a large bill at the end so that worked out well. Highlight was a trip to the jungle to see a Theyam ceremony. Unforgettable! The sea was like a warm bath, the food and company and the pool were all excellent. "The island lodge is a very special place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like welcomed guests. We did the bike/boat tour with Michael through the banana plantations and seeing the locals going about their daily life, not another tourist to be seen. Every body is very friendly. "4 Rivers Floating Lodge is indeed worth the exploration and by far the best eco tourism destination in Cambodia. Here you'll find yourself surrounded by the rain forest, inlets of the water flows, fresh air and the list goes on and on. Use to eat at the restaurant regularly before they received their Michelin Star. Was a bit apprehensive when I made the booking recently as the restaurant was heavily booked most days and I fear that that their standards might be compromised with the high popularity. My fear was unfounded as the food and service standards was certainly up to expectations . My guest was impressed as well and I certainly look forward to eating there in the near future. The chef was amazing, very personable and greeted all his guests. The food was amazing and we tried both menus. I have to follow a gluten free diet and the chef made sure that some elements were changed for me. However, saying that there was very little on the menu I couldn't eat. Just 10- 15 mins by tuk tuk to Battambang City, this peaceful oasis in wat kor village provides an authentic experience of the Battambang countryside (with modern conveniences) - we loved our stay at this delightful hotel. We were very grateful to mr kim nou, who helped us plan our trip and was great to talk to. Excellent staff and great food - don't miss staying here
