Inle Princess Resort: "Beautiful Hotel"

Review by: Irving W | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a lovely hotel and Lake Inle is a beautiful and fascinating place. The main reason I wanted to write a review is that the hotel now has a swimming pool which has not been mentioned before. It was just completed as we were staying there and we were allowed to swim in it even though construction of changing rooms is on going. The pool is at the back of the hotel looking on to fields and adds yet another reason to stay in this wonderful place. Lake view rooms are very special allowing sunset watching from one's own deck.

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Characterful boutique hotel"

Review by: David H | Source: Trip Advisor
"When staying in Georgetown you are probably wanting to be immersed in the colonial character of the place, so staying in a beautiful restored mansion with a fascinating history is a logical and excellent choice - one that we did not regret in the slightest. Nor was it particularly expensive compared with other hotel options We enjoyed learning the history by joining the guided tour (free for guests) and were able to admire the décor and feel of the place both at breakfast time and in the lounging area outside the rooms. Our room was in some ways relatively basic but perfectly adequate and again had character. The service was friendly and helpful. The hotel location is good - on the edge of the heritage area and near to an excellent food court dining and entertainment complex. Breakfast selection also good with small buffet and also a la carte choices including some unusual ones such as green tea pancakes. No juices on the buffet but they brought us some freshly squeezed on request. No hesitation to recommend."

Locavore: "A must in Ubud"

Amazing detail to local dishes. We would recommend to anyone travelling to Ubud. Both meat and vege options were incredible. Also great value for money.

David’s Kitchen: "Excellent Last Night Out"

Review by: MrsGambino | Source: Trip Advisor
We ate here on our final night in Chiang Mai and what a delicious, memorable experience we had! From the moment you step out of the car you are warmly greeted and treated with first class service. Our waiter, Ton, was very friendly, attentive and really made our night memorable. Even David greeted us at the door, and checked up on us several times during the evening. As for the food, it was delicious. We were looking forward to a break from the standard Thai dishes, and there was a vast Italian/French menu to chose from. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin, and I opted for the pork chop with cherry glaze, and both were excellent, and well cooked. The red wine we chose was outstanding and very reasonably priced. David stated he pays special attention to his wine selections to give his customers great wines, and this was definitely proof of that. Definitely a must go to restaurant to finish off an equally amazing visit in Chiang Mai.

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Perfect"

Review by: David M | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed for 3 nights during our honeymoon. The ‘tents’ are luxurious and the staff are amazing. Nothing is too much. They offer a free shuttle into Ubud which is very convenient. The shuttle to and from the airport is reasonably priced. I’d recommend for ease to use them as the vehicle is comfortable for the long drive. The declarations throughout the ‘resort’ are carefully thought and eclectic giving an almost grand feel. The food is lovely as are the drinks! For anyone coming to Ubud I’d recommend nowhere else."

The Island Lodge: "Different in a good way"

Review by: Alison E | Source: Trip Advisor
"An amazing one night stay in the Island Lodge, lovely welcome and led to a beautiful appointed room with separate shower room, toilet and large balcony overlooking infinity pool and river scenes beyond. Attentive service and lovely food, in a very unique setting. So relaxing. Do not hesitate to book this experience when visiting the Mekong Delta. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

Manda De Laos: "Has the Wow factor"

Review by: johnbarry7 | Source: Trip Advisor
"From the street it at night there are no clues to what you will find when you enter this restaurant, right before you is the most beautiful lotus pond gently illuminated with dining tables nicely spaced around the edge. Stylish, romantic and impressive even before the food arrives which is a creative twist on local dishes with great presentation attentive without being obtrusive service which made for a quite delightful evening. Go on treat yourself........."

The Island Lodge: "So glad that we stayed at the hotel, although it was for only one night"

Review by: dickstroud | Source: Trip Advisor
The quality of the service in Vietnam is first class. This is the fifth hotel we have stayed in during our visit and they have all been excellent. The Island Lodge is a bit special. It is the vision of the owner and his wife. You get the feeling that you are staying as a house guest. The only pity for us was that our stay was only for one night. Do have a massage or other treatment. I am sure there is lots to see around the hotel but we just soaked up the atmosphere along with having some great food and a few beers.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "It won’t disappoint – Book (via email) well in advance!"

Review by: explrdvr37 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We'd heard of Cuisine Wat Damnak for years and with a recent trip to Angkor, we could not miss the opportunity to give it a go. It certainly didn't disappoint - even if you're not familiar with Khmer cuisine, this place is a treat and an education ... it certainly made us more curious. The menu is seasonal and changes frequently - you get a choice of 2 tasting menus of either 5 or 6 courses. The most expensive it gets is USD31/person without alcohol - pricy for the rest of Siem Reap but a steal to dine in one of Asia's top 50 restaurants. The wine and beverage menu is extensive and the chef-proprieter Joannès Rivière will be on hand to recommend you something that suits. He's also happy to explain dishes if you need - but really, just sit and savour the flavours."
