Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "The highlight of my trip"
"Noel and Cecile were fantastic hosts and the whole experience at the campsite was wonderful. The staff are really friendly and everyone works so hard to make the experience memorable. The tents are thoughtfully equipped with everything that you need including a torch, mobile phone, fans, electrical sockets and ear plugs for when the jungle gets noisy at night! The food is delicious (best I had in Sri Lanka) and I loved the fact that everyone ate together around a big table so you got to know your fellow campers. The safaris were brilliant and Noel accompanied us on the morning drive and shared his extensive knowledge about the animals and their habitat. It was very exciting getting up at 4:45am and driving off through the semi-dark to the jungle! All in all it was a brilliant experience and I can't speak highly enough of this place. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone else who is thinking of visiting Sri Lanka."Tugu Bali: "A Gem!"
"Hotel Tugu is a peaceful oasis in busy Bali. The hotel is uniquely furnished, more like a museum really. The staff extraordinarily friendly. The rooms, grounds, everything is very clean and well kept. You have a choice of western, traditional Indonesian or the amazing ""power bowl"" breakfast. I also took advantage of the spa services at the hotel - pricey, but not disappointing. This was our first trip to Bali and stop 1 of 4 on the island. We heard but didn't quite understand the beaches aren't clean nor are the streets walkable any great distance. Canggu is no exception to either. However, we were pleased with the selection of eateries walkable from the hotel - we enjoyed Old Man's, Fika, Betelnut. We didn't miss the beach with the hotel's beautiful, refreshing pool. If you are looking for a peaceful or romantic get-away with unique appointments and an exceptional staff with great attention to detail, I highly recommend Hotel Tugu. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"Manda De Laos: "Most treasured dinner in Luang Prabang"
"This is a highlight of any visit to Luang Prabang! We had to cancel our Romantic Menu dinner reservation at the table in the middle of the UNESCO classified Lilly Pond due to unforeseen circumstances, but Manda de Laos was kind enough to move our reservation to the following night, albeit with losing our spot on the island. No problem! They seated us on the open terrace directly adjacent to the pond - an exquisite setting! While the Amuse Bouche was a nice touch, the hors d'oeuvre raised the experience even further: Laab Moo Ping (BBQ pork balls with lemongrass and coriander), Neam Jeun (crispy spring rolls), Ping Kai (BBQ chicken) and Koi Pa (fish salad). While it would have been more of a fine dining experience to received these appetizers individually, it was still delicious. The main course consisted of Or Lam (a Laotian chicken stew with the fascinating ingredient Sakhane, which when bitten into leaves a distinct tingling sensation on the tongue!), Mok Pa (deliciously aromatic fish steamed in banana leaves), Ping Sin (buffalo steak), Ping Dook Moo (spare ribs), Pak (stir-fried vegetables, delicious!) and Khao Khati (crunchy coconut rice). For desert, we had Choux Kuay (a banana cream pie), followed by a delicious coffee. We paired with the house Chardonnay and a Syrah. Manda de Laos also included two cocktails with the menu. It was a thoroughly spectacular evening!"Tugu Malang: "Visit Malang-Banyuwangi between 2 venues"
"Hotel is well located at a big roundabout with a monument in the center. The rooms are very nice decorated, with a nice flower arrangement and fruit platter. The amenities are environment friendly packed by recycled paper. The staff are very friendly from the receptionist till the room attendants. Breakfast is also well served from fresh fruit till home made bread, jam and Indonesian food. On top of all, they serve everyday during teatime complimentary goodies and tea/coffee. They have also a huge collection of antiques that you can walk through or guided tour is also available on request. Will definitely come back to this hotel when visit Malang again"Tugu Malang: "Fijn"
"Het is een groot hotel. Een groot deel wordt enkel gebruikt bij feestjes/evenementen. Leuk en mooi om eens door te lopen. Het hotel heeft een zwembad om even kort af te koelen. Geen zwembad om heel de dag aan te liggen. Eten is er prima. Zeer uitgebreide keuze menu's voor het ontbijt! Stayed March 2017, traveled solo"MesaStila: "One night stay, beautiful srroundings, will return"
"The resort is set in beautifully landscaped grounds with views of volcanoes in every direction. They also have a small coffee plantation onsite and the coffee itself is only available in the hotel. Rooms were huge and nicely fitted out. Would loved to have stayed longer, but was following a tight itinerary through central and eastern Java. Will return for sure. "Rachamankha: "Location, location, location"
Best place to stay in Chiangmai as its central to everywhere. The hotel is a 5-star oasis to escape from the city yet it is located in the city. The staff are friendly and professional making our stay extremely seamless. The room is exquisite with old Thai charm yet furnished with modern day necessities. We definitely would come back here next time!tugu lombok: "A magical place with beauty in every step."
"The hotel is beautiful, with lot of different areas to explore, relax and even work. All the areas are decorated with elegance, full of art objects. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was amazing with open air area. The hotel staff is very kind, you feel pampered every minute. "Inle Princess Resort: "Wunderschönes Hotel"
Wir waren im August als Paar dort und die Erfahrung war wirklich großartig. Die Lage ist wunderschön, die Anlage topgepflegt und das Personal extrem freundlich. Das Restaurant ist gut, aber nicht Spitze und etwas überteuert. Sonst alles top!Chakrabongse Villas: "An Oasis Along the Chao Phraya River"
This is simply an oasis, tucked behind gates in a garden setting on the property of a member of the extended royal family. We felt that we were treated like royalty ourselves by Atom and Ohm. They were both so kind and helpful. The property has a resplendent landscaping of fountains, a long trellised archway with potted orchids that leads to the restaurant, which was lighted at night, and a nice private swimming pool surrounded by landscaping. We stayed nine nights and enjoyed the Mali room. The room had all the amenities of a fine large resort but with a more charming character. The room was large enough to be comfortable. We like the coffee bar just outside our room and found it nice to come back and have an English cup of tea after our day tours. The bathroom was kept tidy with fresh towels everyday, and supplied with a nice quality of shampoo, conditioner and lotions should need them. The restaurant overlooking the river is simply elegant. The breakfast was very good and the dinners were sublime. They also have a driver that they arranged to pick us up and return us to the airport for a fair price. This was so nice after a 12 hour flight to be met at the airport, by simple instructions, instead of getting a random cab. The hotel helped us confirm the time of our tour pickups each day we were taking a tour by calling the tour operator on our behalf. They would help us to get reservations at other restaurants when their restaurant was not open. We appreciate their kind and caring assistance. We enjoyed our experience so much that when we return to Bangkok we will stay at Chakrabongse, and so should you.
