Satri House: "Really lovely!"

Review by: Dmf6375 | Source: tripadvisor.com
I looked at many, many hotels online for Luang Prabang and could not have been happier with my choice. This property is absolutely lovely - a serene and tranquil escape after busy days of sightseeing! The staff could not have been more hospitable and accommodating, and the food was great! Stayed for a week utilizing all the various services - dining room for a variety of meals, pool, spa, bar, library - all terrific. Special kudos to the staff who were truly so nice!

Cuca: "Is worth the drive…excellent Tapas"

Review by: Chris_depondt | Source: Trip Advisor
"The food and cocktails are excellent ! Totally worth the drive. First we start with the cocktail. They are tasty and pretty to the eyes. The tapas are creative and tasty. We love the Bravas, Black squid ""risotto"". Black squid ""risotto"" is made of finely cut squid instead of rice. It is yummy and it gives a different texture as compared to normal risotto. Bravas - Tempeh with sundried tomato gives a nice taste to the usually blend tempeh. Their garden setting is nice and should the weather permit, it will be nice to dine there. Good service as well !"

Mume: "The art of dining with no arrogance"

Review by: Asiadvisor001 | Source: Trip Advisor
Dining at Mume is like an Art performance, where the art and the focus is in the plate. All around the plate, from the decor to the waiters and the Chef himself coming to serve, everything is done to make the experience as friendly and comfortable as possible. A place you just want to return and share with your friends!

Tugu Bali: "Sleep in a museum: luxury retreat in traditional Balinese style"

Review by: Tom G | Source: Trip Advisor
"his lovely hotel is a great place to stay in Bali. The location is absolutely fabulous as Canggu is THE hotspot in Bali right now and Tugu Bali is situated in the epicentrum of this popular area. Seriously the best hotel location in Bali. Around the hotel you will find the most popular surf beaches and the crowd in this surfer villag is young and hip. There are great places to eat around, all hip and trendy. So is also the Japanese restaurant attached to the resort. Great food! The rooms are super spacious and extremely lovely. It was a lovely stay in the Dedari suite and the bed is king king king king size, so huge! There was a private pool with complete privacy in the garden. The bathroom is super cute as it has window that open over a fishpond: feels like taking a bath with koi fishes. The resort is super quiet and there are guards running around to make sure only guests walk around. Disappointed is the WiFi signal, which hardly works. The restaurant and lobby has a pretty ok connection, but in 2016 you want it in your room to work. This is definitely something the hotel should improve, especially in hip and modern Canggu. The breakfast can be served at all times during the day everywhere you wish, so you just order it a la carte and it will be served on the bed, in your garden or on the beach. Oh it is delicious!!!! Try out the lovely complimentary high tea, indulge yourself with local sweets. Such a great service as well! The staff is super nice and always willing to help you wherever you can. The 60min massage we took was ok. Good, just not the best ever!. All in all Tugu resort is one of my favorite places to stay in Bali. The friendly staff, the lovely quiet location, the spacious rooms, the delicious breakfast and so on... Def will go back!"

Tugu Malang: "Great Service"

Review by: djmkzurich | Source: Trip Advisor
We just spent one night here but we were able even to enjoy the Afternoon Tea. Hotel situated not far away from Railway Station and staff came over to pick us up. Front Desk very helpful. Rooms were nice but nothing spectacular. Nice Swimming pool. Great and very ample breakfast. Service was the highlight here. No doubt.

Rak Ko Jae Hahoe: "Charming and peaceful"

Review by: underw00d | Source: Trip Advisor
Although we've stayed at Japanese ryokan many times, this was our first experience of a hanok stay, and it didn't disappoint. Same warm welcome (with a cup of green tea and a wedge of apple), same simple aesthetics and same temptingly snug futon-like mattresses on the floor. What was different? The ondol underfloor heating, which was deliciously warm underfoot but if anything a little too hot for sleeping on, with the heat seeping up through the mattresses a little too efficiently. The gloriously-scented sauna experience. And the breakfast, which was a delicious vegetable-infused rice porridge, grilled mackerel, pickles and a bowl of fresh yoghurt with blueberries, nuts and dried fruits. The location is beautiful too, and so peaceful, with nothing more than birdsong and a cock crowing to break the silence. It was a little too cold to be able to enjoy the delightful private seating area on the veranda to the side of the building but in a week or two that will be a lovely place to enjoy an evening drink (bring your own!) or a morning cuppa. Thoroughly recommended

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Total paradise and relaxation exceeding expectations"

Review by: Bayaf99 | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was our first visit to this amazing resort. The journey there, from the welcoming sign at the airport, to a quick efficient drive to our boat to the bay, exceeded our expectations. The arrival view was mesmerising: a wide open bay with a vast long sandy beach with a little hut for lunchtime and a yoga sala, and of course dense nature. Massi, the manager, embodied true professionalism. He welcomed us to our beautiful house Baan Tamarind and gave us thorough details about the resort's amenities. Our house was beyond our expectations. With two stunning bedrooms both with an amazing view of the sea, and stunningly designed outdoor bathrooms, we also had an amazing living space upstairs as a canope amongst trees with a sunset view everyday! The food was probably the peak of the stay. The Club House has been renovated in a spacious way that makes you feel at home away from the busy city life. There is a new menu EVERYDAY (something rare in the hotel industry where after a few days, you run out of culinary options) with completely different meals - each very distinct and deliciously made at defying prices for the quality. The staff constantly walks around with smiles on their faces and are always available if you have an inquiry. The morning buffet and cooked meals are my favorite. You get to sit outside or inside (your choice, although I recommend outside due to the beautiful sea view) and make your own freshly squeezed juice. They have an amazing tea selection and of course the fruits are exquisite. I specially recommend their Thai omelette with rice - a must have during your stay, truly a taste of Thailand! I cannot describe the joy I felt when going to get massages. Porn and Poy are possibly the kindest ladies and although they may seem gentle based on their graciousness, their hands work wonders. I have had back problems for quite some time and honestly, felt rejuvenated every time I came out of the massage sala! The Thai massage is a must. In all, the hotel was anything I could have asked for. You are truly immersed in nature, at night hearing the strangest most relaxing sounds from this rich ecosystem to walking on their vast empty white sand beach with a light breeze brushing against you in the bright sun. Room Tip: Sea front views are the most rewarding due to the proximity to the beach and stunning view!"

Tugu Bali: "We wanted a WOW !!!!!! place to send our first Christmas! We found it! Hidden Secret!!!"

Review by: soni2acantin | Source: Trip Advisor
"My boyfriend and i wanted a WOW place to spend Christmas. I went on internet and typed : "" best places to spend Christmas"" and i found an article from Condè Nast saying : Bali, and the best hotel to go : Tugu Hotel ! So i booked. The hotel is amazing since the owner is the biggest art collector of Indonesia, you can really feel a good ""vibe"" BUT the service is even more amazing. We rented the Dendari Suite(we had our private pool and private court yard with a fish pound, with a private swing bed !!!. They brought us to our room at midnight after a 30h flight ..., candles were lit, encent was burning on the way to our door AND our HUGE bath was filled with warm water, flowers and lemongrass essential oil..... WOWWW, the rest was just like that, there is only 21 rooms so the concept is that you can have your breakfast, lunch diner where ever you like, at the beach, at in the Chinese Temple, in your room, near the pound whereever ! The food at the hotel is great, i would really advice you take the romantic package !! It comes with a 2h30 pampering at the spa that finished with them washing your hair, outside, on an antique chair, WOW ! Kadet at the spa is amazing, Khrischna our waiter was so nice loving and caring like the rest of the staff. Kelly, the hotel manager was there for us if you need her and made sure our stay was perfect! The only thing, and i told it to Kelly is that there internet site does not show how great this place is!!! I want to go back !!!!!!!! "

Glenburn Tea Estate: "A piece of paradise"

Review by: Rachaelfourteas | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Glenburn tea estate is in the most beautiful place on earth. On the first day we arrived to a warm welcome and I sat in our room looking over the tea gardens with the Himalayas rising majestically up in to the sky beyond I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Will and Faye were the perfect hosts and Parveez is the most enthusiastic person I have ever heard talk about tea. We learnt a great deal from him and can't wait to stock their delicious Darjeeling tea. We were looked after magnificently by all the staff, (especially Mandeep) and our guides were friendly and helpful and being local were a font of knowledge on all the wildlife and fauna and the ways of life for the people on the estate. We even joined in a game of 'Housey Housey'(Bingo) in the streets with the locals! Every evening we had supper around the large dinning table with the other guests and it was like a special dinner party. We met a wide variety of people from all corners of the globe and it was a lovely way to make new friends. It did not feel like a hotel but more like a home where you were always welcome and nothing was too much trouble. This is a hotel that everyone should have on their bucket list and I just hope we can return again one day."

"Stayed he with my wife on 6th and 7th December. What a joy! Fabulous welcome by the manager and his assistant. Setting on riverside is wonderful. Food truely outstanding. Dinner was five courses but not over heavy. Waiting staff delightful. The hot tubs are files from local high springs and are very relaxing. Massage was one of the best I have ever had too.
