Manukan Island Resort: "Wonderful experience"
We stayed in hillside villa to celebrate our anniversary. The room was exceptional and beach view is astonishing! Service is great and even able to setup a romantic dinner by the beach on same day request. Despite the forecast of rainshower at night it was still a success. They also have a rondalla that serenades us while we eat. Only thing we didn't like is the breakfast. But overall it's a wonderful experience.Villa Song Saigon: "Great"
"Stayed here two days for business to avoid the usual ""Hilton, Hyatt ,,,"" routine and didnt regret that. The position to the river is unique altough if you are heading for the city centre you have to face either a boat trip or a longer taxi lift. Rooms are modern, sleeping quality very good. The restaurant cant decide what is the focus on (they call it fusion). Breakfast only week point I can name (e.g. if you order ""bread basket"" you would expect butter, jam etc coming along with this, but here it means only bread so you have to ask for every item). We really enjoyed our one-night stay here. It was peaceful, relaxing, and the food was so tasty and fresh! Very friendly staff who provided excellent service! We would recommend this place to everyone! We received a free tour as part of the guest package. We then got a privet tour by the manager. "The most amazing safari from start to finish. My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this wonderful campsite. Due to the experience of our main guide Dilanka and the team, we saw leopards, elephants, sloth bear, and many beautiful birds. We also met some fantastic people from other countries. The jeeps are really comfortable and looked much better than other companies we saw in the park. The food was exceptional and the facilities around the campsite certainly made this glamping. Our tents were cleaned a few times a day and we got to shower in hot water under the stars at night. Everyone looked after us so well and they are very professional, warm and the nicest people. The calibre of food served here was exceptional. I couldn't find much information online at all after reading about it in the Guardian earlier this year before we went so we took a gamble, and I'm so glad we did. Chef Black served us 9 courses, all surprises and chosen by him, throughout the evening, coming out and explaining in detail each one and why he paired ingredients together. Distinctive fine dining food with an asian influence - lots of fish! We paid 1200 Baht for a bottle of wine (which was absolutely delicious) and 1600 Baht each for the food. "We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and everything was perfect. The rooms are beautiful with a nice view on the Mekong river. The breakfast is just delicious. The pool is perfect if you want to relax with the view on the Mekong river. The staff is really friendly and the owners will make everything for you to just feel like being at home. We did some excursions with the hotel and it was also very nice. They have bicycles with child seat, which is perfect. We will definitely come back. The food was excellent from starter through to desserts. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The owner (David) walked around every table talking to the guests which was a nice touch. The restaurant was very popular on the night we went so the atmosphere was great. We stayed in Chiang Mai for 4 nights and this was the best food and atmosphere by far. I love staying at this hotel. The rooms, decor, ambience and staff are great. The restaurant is excellent. My default hotel when in Malang. If you are ever in the area, you really should stay here. However, the service we encountered at maidon polanka is unlike anything we have experienced. It feels like a home away from home.
