Mie Cafe: "Wonderful experience!"
"A dinner in this restaurant was amazing! The food is interesting, very well presented, and creative! Clear that the chef knows what he is doing! It was a pleasure meeting him and have a little chat. Even the rain didn't ruin the experience, and may be made it even more special. Extremely recommended!"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Heaven on Earth"
"This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed, peace and tranquillity by the Arabian Sea, heaven on earth. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, we stayed in a lovely cottage called Shanti overlooking the sea, attention to detail was of the highest standard, everything was perfect. There are just 12 cottages which make it very special. The spa was the best we have ever been too, we had a Shirodhara massage, amazing... we were rejuvenated and calmed. Breakfast was at the beach restaurant, (food was of the highest standard) after early morning yoga, what a beautiful way to start the day. We had a wonderful stay at Neeleshwar, and hope to return again. "Satri House: "Perfect Respite"
I was visiting Bangkok and wanted a peaceful break. Three days in LPB at Satri House was perfect. The staff -- at reception, restaurant, pool, were all helpful and sweet. Great location for quiet but still so close to the Night Market. Bicycling into town (bike courtesy of Satri) to explore the temples and shopping was fun. Every detail of decor and hospitality are addressed flawlessly. I will go back again, and send friends too. Completely lovely.MesaStila: "A Mountainous Trip to Paradise"
"MesaStila is a hidden gem, the grounds are incredible and exceeded all our exceptions, The staff were willing to help us at every turn. This is a must of those looking to get away from it all, explore the grounds, enjoy many activities available, relax by the pool. Hire a guide and head to a waterfall where you will walk thru villages and experience central java at its best. This property is a must - its perfect for stopping and remembering how calm life can be without the hassle and bustle. I urge everyone to go here. Just note if you are travelling in a large group as we were (8A 9C) pre order lunches and dinners as it can take a while to get your meal. "David’s Kitchen: "Simply The Best in Chiang Mai"
"Its difficult to add to the already outstanding reviews of this restaurant. But I shall try: David has obviously devoted his life to this project and it is for him a lot more than a business. The menu has so many interesting, original dishes that it took us a while to even make a choice. Everything we chose was cooked to perfection, including the prawn ravioli in lobster sauce and the gnocchi with mushroom cream. Ultimately, what makes any restaurant special is not just the food but the entire experience; the ambience (smart but refreshingly relaxed), decor, staff attitude, efficiency, etc.. This is where David's kitchen excels because the attention to detail is apparent in every aspect. His passion for this restaurant is infectious. You can feel it when you chat to him, on the radiant faces of his staff and in the excellent reviews written by numerous customers. The prices are higher than average for Chiang Mai but this establishment is unique in this city and represents excellent value. A restaurant of this calibre would cost much more in Europe or the US. My daughter chose to celebrate her 18th birthday here. Thank you to David and his team for making it such a memorable evening for us. Highly recommended without hesitation."Le Passe-Temps: "Highlight of our trip"
We were on a family holiday in Khao Thong for 2 weeks with my husband, our 2 kids, my dad and his girlfriend. We contacted Olivier via email to make a reservation for dinner. They sent through the menu and price for that night and we arranged a time for someone to pick us up. Arriving there was breath taking, the setting, the atmosphere and then that view! simply stunning! The kitchen normally doesn't open until 7.30 but they suggested serving our dinner earlier as we had 2 little kids with us. We had a cocktail on the beach while gazing at the sunset with our feet in the warm sea water, followed by a lovely dinner served family style. Portions were on the smaller side but they give many dishes so we never went home hungry. Everyone who worked there was so lovely, spoke English and French very well and so accomodating. We went back once more for dinner and one morning for paddle boarding. Will definitely consider this resort to stay at next time we come to Krabi!!!Muang La Lodge: "Beautiful lodge"
Mung La Lodge is a beautiful ecolodge and a bit of paradise. The hot spring baths, the wonderful dinners and the terrific service contribute to a terrific relaxing stay. We stayed three nights and didn't want to leave.Tugu Lombok: "A place to unwind, forget the hustle and bustle……relax!"
"We wanted a place in the warm tropics with green gardens, a beach to comb, comfortable accommodation away from the madding crowd. Tugu ticked all our boxes and then some....the heart of Tugu most definitely is the wonderful compliment of staff. We were really made to feel most welcome, nothing was too much trouble for anyone....a very big thank you to you all. "Amata Lanna: "Hidden jem"
"This is the second time we have stayed here and hopefully not the last. The owner and staff are amazing and very helpful. We stayed in the same room as before which overlooks the lovely little pool. Room is a good size with a large bathroom with both shower and large bath. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was always a delight with both Asian and western choices. I understand that the owners are having a second hotel built,if the same standards are kept up it can only be a great success."Muang La Lodge: "Something quite special"
"We visited out of season and were the only guests in the resort. We were welcomed by Mr. Xay, the assistant manager, who in the absence of the manager, was running the resort. Both he and his team were absolutely excellent. Although it is likely a lot of the staff were local villagers we had no problems with communication. The rooms are big and very comfortable, they are set around the large gardens some with a balcony view of the river . The swimming pool is set on an island situated in the middle of the river reached via a wobbly bridge. The pool has it's own bar area, which also has cooking facility for light meals. There is a hot tub fed by a natural hot spring. My wife had a massage, which she said was very good. We took one of their excursions , a 4x4 into the hills walking in the forest followed by an excellent packed lunch, which we ate in one of the villages. The guide on this was superb, it involved crossing several streams ;he cut me a bamboo pole to help.We were introduced to, ate and survived, a lot of vegetation we had not come across before The food in the resort was some of the most enjoyable we had in S.E. Asia, eaten outside overlooking the river. An evening 5 course set menu. The Laos beer is good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent with freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolate eggs etc. We were sorry to leave and we are grateful to Mr.Xay and all his courteous, efficient and thoughtful staff for looking after us so well."
