The Cabochon Hotel: "Excellent + cozy"
Well-appointed, comfortable and quiet. Probably the best hotel we stayed in during our month in Asia. A wonderful little hideaway amidst the madness of Bangkok's 10 million noise-makers. We stayed at the island lodge for one night to give us an opportunity to explore the Mekong delta. Our stay was very relaxing, the room was beautiful and very clean, the pool and sauna facilities were also pleasant and relaxing. We opted to go on a tour to the unicorn and Phoenix islands nearby in My Tho, guided by a member of the hotel staff. The tour was great for finding out more about the Mekong delta culture, and we bought some of the local coconut sweets and honey to take home too!Samanea Beach Resort: "Fabulous getaway!"
Superb villa accommodation for couple or families. The staff were superb as was the salt water swimming pool. Very lovely villas, comfortable beds, outside showers and inside bathrooms, cable TV, wireless, restaurant, man made beach and incredibly beautiful gardens. Be warned though that even though it is right on the sea, the sea comes up to a gown ups knees only! There is a very long jetty that takes you out further but again the tide is normally out - don't get me wrong it is still very pleasant. Mangrove is very clean, lots of wildlife especially birds. The staff could not do enough to help they were just great and overall I must say our experience was excellent. For a getaway from Phnom Penh or to just visit Kep it is the perfect place.SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Cook to Perfection!"
There is no available words to describe what dinning in this restaurant is! From the setting, going to the service and finaly the food itself is everything designed to perfection! You will, for sure have a grand time in this restaurant! Everything is freshly homemade! You got to have a go!Locavore: "A dinner like a performance"
"It's hard to describe the menu and all it's different structures and tastes but see it is an evening out at a theater....the table looked simple and almost empty at start but soon a symphony emerges and takes you off to different and wonderful places, until a final apotheose of different kinds of sweetness ....and then the table is empty again. So far the poetry description... All of the dishes are ""urgent"" and none are ""fillers"" but of course we had our favorites. From the all very different amuses the tomato dish was sublime in its purity and the sweet, sour and salty perfect in balance. The catfish also combined great flavors and structures. The tongue with carrot and harmonious cocktail pairing was a great finish of the savory dishes, were after the sweet dishes gentle and a feast for the eye. Go for the 7 courses with cocktail pairing, most pairings are great, all cocktails are delicious but some a bit overpowering , so be careful, some you drink better AFTER you had the dish. "Second time here and we got a free upgrade to mountain view room!! Thanks Nink @ Guest relations. The resort is beautiful, lovely rooms with unique items such as type writers and books to make its French colonial style very realistic. The marble floors and luxurious bathrooms Are perfect. The toiletries are all local and sourced from natural ingredients which is great and smell delicious!! Refilled daily. The rooms have big tv's and DVD players and you can borrow (free) DVDs from front desk. The wifi throughout the hotel is excellent, consistent and I mean everywhere, perfect!! The staff are very friendly, attentive and welcoming. The free shuttle cart to the city centre is very helpful and they pick you up too!! The pools are lovely, clean and a very good temperature. "Hôtel au charme fou !! Un rêve éveillé ! Cette arrivée moteur coupé avec l'aide d'un pagayeur traditionnel pris au passage à l'approche de l'hôtel ! C juste magique !! Personnel très gentil ! Nous avions un bungalow sur pilotis avec vue sur le lac on recommande fortement !! Nous avons eu la chance d'y passer 4 nuits et le bungalow est du bon côté pour le coucher de soleil donc là pareil de la magie tous les soirs le bonheur !! Hotel à recommander vivement ! Déjà si vous avez la chance de venir au lac inle c déjà top mais dormir au inle princess resort est une grande chance ! Un vrai paradis nous étions enchantés ! Petits déjeuners parfaits comme le reste ! Et là pareil la vue sur le lac en mangeant le matin est un bonheur à l'état pur !! Que de superlatifs !! Les repas le soir sont très bien aussi avec des prix européens ! Nous sommes allés manger un soir en ville mais le taxi coûte 25$ donc au final après nous sommes restés tranquillou à l'hôtel ! It's been awhile since I stayed at Villa Song Saigon. I was surprised to see that the place has become even better after the recent renovation. The restaurant looks better and the new menu is even more gastronomic than the previous menu. It is really worth checking it out again. "This hotel is a calm oasis away from the bustle of the busy city with its thousands of motor cyclists. Friendly helpful staff, a stunning building and a refreshing clean swimming pool, with delicious food (local and international) served in the garden by the river. We liked the tablet computer photos (brought to the table) of the food so we could see before we ordered - a nice touch.
