Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Best meal I’ve ever had"

Review by: Hugh451 | Source: Trip Advisor
I'm telling you what I told my wife when we were there - "this meal is the best meal I've ever had". Also, the price is very reasonable relative to the quality of the food and cocktails. Definitely a great choice for a classy (relative for Siem reap) dinner!

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Charming town and hotel"

Review by: travelwise7 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Apsara. It is a beautiful colonial building. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the river. The staff were all very nice, and the food was really good. We spent New Years Eve there and ate dinner at the hotel. We loved Luang Prabang, it was one of my favorite places in S.E. Asia Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

The Island Lodge: "Excellent"

Review by: mathiaslheritier | Source: Trip Advisor
"We really enjoyed our stay at The Island Lodge. We went in December for our holidays, and our experience was by far the best. We can't say thank you enough for your immaculate service, and very beautiful hotel. The food was delicious, good cuisine with a french touch, mixed with the traditional Vietnamese gastronomy. We recommend The Island Loge 100%. You will certainly enjoy your stay there, I know we did! Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"

Mie Cafe: "Best restaurant in siem reap"

Review by: Sunrisevv | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed at the city for 3 days and loved the restaurant so much that we travelled far to the restaurant for the second time only to find that it was an off day for them. I'll definitely come back if I had the chance to visit siem reap again.

Manda De Laos: "Wonderful Evening"

Review by: RealTravelPro | Source: Trip Advisor
"We had a romantic dinner here on the last night of our stay in LP and it turned out to be the perfect location! Beautiful setting and atmosphere. You sit right by the lotus pond. Food and drinks were lovely, the staff very attentive. Of course you can get cheaper meals in LP but this restaurant is really special and more upscale. There is a secluded table in the middle of the pond, which you can reserve for a very private dining experience. As far as food goes, I had the vegetarian stew and one other home made ice teas and really loved it."

Rahai'i Pangun Wildlife River Cruises: "Extraordinary 3d2n with wow Borneo"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
We chose Wow Borneo because they had the safest looking boats for our small children whilst having competetive prices. We had the boat to ourselves and a lovely crew. The food included some of the best local dishes we've had in Indonesia in 2+ years. Our guide, Faisal, knew his stuff and was great with the kids. We woke on both mornings to see large male orang utans hanging in trees yards from our boat. We saw probiscus monkeys, endangered Storm's storks, gibbons, macaques and crocs too. A fantastic trip. Do it.

Le Calao: "Lovely lunch, perfect service & airconditioned"

Review by: Sharon T | Source: Trip Advisor
"We just had lunch. Ordered a lovely bottle of the house red, a French merlot to accompany our lunch consisting of grilled perch, grilled chicken, duck laarb and an eggplant dip. Service was excellent. The airconditioning helped cool us down on a hot day after visiting Wat Xienthong. Prices are slightly on the high side but now than made up by the delicious food and attentive, friendly and professional service"

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Delicious and beautiful restaurant"

Review by: LeoDenfeldt | Source: Trip Advisor
Food is amazing! It's a degustation menu with a lot of plates, each one more exquisitly prepared than the other. Particularly the roasted caramelized pork was unbeatable! The place is beatiful and service quite good. The wine options had good wines for reasonable prices. And the cost: 31 dollar per person! Unbelievable! DO NOT MISS IT !

Talabgaon Castle: "We loved it and we are going back"

Review by: jstravels | Source: Trip Advisor
"The serenity of Talabgaon Castle took our breath away. The loving attention to detail in the restoration process is apparent. The castle is clearly still a home and as guests we are being welcomed in. We dined outside by the pool, listened to the peacock calls, wandered the grounds and watched the polo ponies exercise. we strolled the village street, bought lacquer bracelets and watched a potter make water jugs. It was a wonderful stay and we are already planning our trip back. "

GLENBURN TEA ESTATE: "Attentive service and superlative luxury"

Review by: Alex F | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We stayed at the end of a 3-week trip around India. What a stunning location high in the hills and quite unlike everywhere else we visited - so quiet, peaceful and unspoilt. We enjoyed the tea and the variety of foods we were served up. We loved relaxing and being pampered. Our room was larger than many London apartments and the bath was literally the biggest in the world. How they got it and all the other furniture down that bumpy road we will never know. We were served 'bed tea' in the morning and breakfast on the verandah with views over the hills and colourful birds swooping in and out of the trees nearby. One morning we took an early walk down the hill to the river, with two bird guides. A stunning walk through the tea bushes. We saw about 30 different species on that walk and were met at the bottom by a table at the water's edge, with our own personal breakfast service. Incredible! Exceptional!! The best part of the stay was the staff. One local young man Ranjan did the tea tour with us and invited us to a wedding at his friend's house. So we all trooped up the hill to a real Indian wedding with great local food and drinks, and a group of smiling people welcoming us strangers into their house. Remarkable. He and many of the other local staff spoke fluent English and were so humble and friendly, I wish I could employ them back in the UK. The resort is managed by a British couple Will and Faye, and currently another Will (I understand that this third team member changes regularly), who were attentive and took care of our every need without imposing on our holiday. They ate with the guests at dinner time and made the trip really special. The two Wills invited me to try fishing with them (unsuccessful but fun!). It's a rare treat to get to stay somewhere so beautiful, and so luxurious, and with such friendly hosts. Thanks to you all!! "
