Rachamankha: "YES! YES! YES! Totally awesome property"
I wanted to stay at Tamarind but I could not get the same room for 4 nights, and I am so glad I chose this instead. This hotel is wonderful. A glorious architectural wonder in a quiet Chiang Mai old quarter spot. The rooms-and ours was a standard- are wonderful. I wished I could have seen the upgraded rooms, but if a standard was this great, who needs an upgrade? The only small negative I had overall is that the shower tiles are a bit dated...could use a re-do...other than than that, all was amazing. Awesome staff, beautiful, sumptous breakfast, gorgeous rooms and amenities, lovely pool area. Easy walk to anything and everything. Wonderfully helpful staff with activities and transportation. 5 star all the way.Mathis Retreat: "Peaceful and refreshing place"
Spent 3 nights there with my wife. Beautiful place, quiet, beautiful scenery, very good service. The terra cotta restaurant has a fantastic and huge breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Easy to get to Ubud center by motorbike, takes 10 minutes.Slow Villas and Spa: "A real ultimate experience"
"Imagine : a private pool, a typical villa on the Gilli isle... That was amazing and the staff was so nice with us... The breakfast, the candel light diner... All was perfect... Yes we were not far from the heaven..We will come back again for sure as soon as possible."Locavore: "One of finest meals we have ever had"
What a find and we only had lunch. Being from San Francisco, we are food snobs and we enjoyed every part of this meal and atmosphere in the midst of Ubud. Book ahead as truly very special.Tugu Malang: "An absolutely marvellous hotel"
Stayed here 2 nights and wanted to move in! The hotel has a wonderful collection of artefacts and antiques. Could spend hours just looking at them. The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. The room was beautiful and spacious with a lovely bathroom. The pool area is exceptional surrounded by greenery. There is even a wonderful boutique with fantastic service. Food and presentation was wonderful. If I have to make any adverse comment (and it's very minor) is that I had a pot of tea first morning (very welcome as being British I drink a lot of tea) but only cups on second morning.Muang La Lodge: "Halte de rêve au bord de la Muang La"
exotic garden at the end of the world, spacious rooms on stilts, steamy baths in hot spring water in high towers alongside the trees, open-air restaurant overlooking the river Muang La, braziers to foot tables to soften the freshness evening and allow to comfortably enjoy the original and delicious dishes that succeed, sky lanterns illuminating the night, taking all the worries to the stars, in short, the middle of a wonderful trip through Laos, have a dream, further embellished by the warm availability of Mathilde and kind words of welcome Raphael manuscripts guests.Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "A brilliant stay at the Cabochon Hotel"
We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Cabochon Hotel and already cannot wait to return. A 5-10 minute walk from Phrom Phong BTS station off Sukhumvit- the location was ideal. Close to public transport, restaurants and shopping. The hotel is incredibly beautiful and filled with antiques and interesting things to look at. It was wonderful to return to such a calm and quiet space after a busy day out in the city. We stayed in a studio room and found it to be perfectly adequate for our needs. The bed and linen was comfortable, the air conditioning great and the general design of the room and furniture extremely chic. Breakfast is served from 7:00am to 10:00pm and we loved the continental buffet as well as the a la carte choices which included both Asian and Western options. The staff are extremely friendly and couldn't help us enough. They answered all our questions and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We will definitely stay at the Cabochon on our future visits to Bangkok and will be telling all our friends and family about it too!David’s Kitchen: "Faultless"
"If someone had said before we left the UK that we'd be actively seeking a European restaurant in a country reknowned for having an amazing local cuisine I'd probably have laughed at them. The joke would have been on us if we'd missed this place... I'm not one bit surprised this establishment ranks so highly: the food was superb, the service first rate and I can only count on one hand the number of other restaurants where the owner actually comes out to see if everything is up to standard. My only regret is feeling a bit under the weather otherwise I'd have gone straight to the tasting menu. I have a feeling no matter what you choose from the menu it's not going to disappoint. In short I can't commend this place highly enough. If it wasn't 9000km away we'd be back in a shot."Manda De Laos: "Amazing"
What an amazing venue. Such an experience to eat fantastic food in such stunning surroundings and for less than Michelin star dining in London. Beats any restaurant I have been in by far. Cannot wait to go back there. The Village House: "Great great Staff and Hotel out of Kuching"
"We stayed at village house for 3 night for the ester week end. First the place is charming, tastily decorated and the room and bathroom are really clean. But the second point and what made this stay so great was the service and the staff! A big thank you to Alifa, Flora and Eleesa for taking such a good care of us! Great advice and help to visit around Santubong village and some talk about the culture of Borneo. And a big congrats to the Chef (that call him just a cook, you should not when you are serving a 8 course menu ...) really talented and worth paying more than the Food court few km from the hotel (by the way run away from damai beach resort). So to sum up, definitely a place that i recommend 100%, great for a week end gateway from Singapore or as a step into your travel in Asia! "
