Glenburn Tea Estate: "It is a beautifully located property on the crest of a hill giving you a 360 degree view of all the hills around"
"This boutique hotel gives you the experience of complete tranquility, as it is situated in the middle of a tea estate surrounded by luxuriant greenery. The bird life, the changing cloud patterns and occasional rain immerses you in nature and your inner self. The staff is very obliging and attentive and the cuisine is delectable. A total experience."Maduzi Hotel: "Lovely boutique hotel with great service"
"This is the second time we have stayed here and we are glad we returned. The Maduzi is a a lovely hotel it is set back off the busy street in a great location near the MRT and BTS. Rooms are nice, very comfortable, we love the over size bed in the deluxe room, the overflowing spa bath is a great way to relax after a busy day on your feet. There is a pod coffee machine in the room, long with a stocked mini bar. The service from the staff is always good from check in to the check out, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is good with a nice variety, I also like that you can ask for a coffee and it will be promptly made whenever you ask."Amata Lanna: "A ‘homecoming feel’ Resort"
"Between 19th and 21st September, we, totally 11 persons were staying at this Thailand-style furnished resort. Notwithstanding it was a small one with only 12 rooms, our experiences of staying there were really great. First of all, the place was tidy, clean and quiet. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The facilities were sufficient and, most of all, there was a jacuzzi found in each room. All of us admitted that it was a bonus to our stay. Another thing worth mentioning is that the resort was running by a twin brothers. They were very kind and helpful. The handsome big brother boss, after knowing that we wanted to buy a special brand of pepper, he volunteered to search for us. Though we told him that we had tried most of the supermarkets but failed , he guaranteed that he could complete the mission successfully. Finally he handed to us 6 bottles of that pepper in the morning before we left! I really feel this Amata Lanna Village Resort is though small yet complete in every detail!"Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Fantastic! A must to be here"
This camp is one of my best experience during my journey in Sri Lanka. I can really recommend this place. Everything is very good organized, everyone from staff is very friendly and the food is fantastic! Best food ever in whole Sri Lanka. Price is absolute justified. Safari trip was very nice too, staff is very competent, even on safari are drinks and snacks organised!Manda De Laos: "Lovely food, plenty of choice and great service"
This restaurant was very near our hotel so we went twice. The setting is around a "heritage" lily pond which was beautifully lit at night. There was a fairly extensive menu of both Lao and western dishes. It isn't cheap but everything we tried was very tasty. It is essential to book as this is deservedly a popular spot.Muang La Lodge: "A stunning gem in a remote location"
"This unheralded, stunning resort is a great reward for the traveller who is prepared to undertake a relatively long road journey. Though arduous, that journey is not without some great experiences and vistas. Guided trips would be essential to help reveal the highlights along the way. Planning an extra night stay might appeal to those seeking even more pampering after their endeavours. The swimming pool is wonderful. The hot spring baths and massage service offer other opportunities for indulgence. The accommodation is beautiful and well designed. The beds are sumptuous. The river views are majestic. The restaurant provides fantastic meals, particularly the set five course dinner. The variety of tasty ethnic and local dishes each night was unique. Breakfast was excellent and personalized. The provision of gluten free pancakes demonstrated not only skills at improvisation but also determination to ensure guest satisfaction. For me it was a real bonus and very touching. The walk to the nearby village was great but knowing precisely where and how to access the exciting bamboo raft ferry back across the creek is recommended. The service was superb at all levels within the stablishment."Heritage Suites Hotel: "Excellent hotel!"
We were at this hotel as part of our honeymoon trip. Very well located, near the airport, and near the center of Siem Reap, our stay was very pleasant. The rooms are really nice and comfortable, and the staff people are very friendly, like all the people you know in Cambodia. Highly recommended to travel as a couple and to enjoy this wonderful site of the world.Slow Villas and Spa: "Heaven on earth"
Absolute luxury, low key, discreet, perfect. Quiet oasis....wouldn't want this place to be anywhere but hidden away from the mainstream vibes. Those who say location is poor are fools...it's a perfectly hidden gem. Attention to detail here is amazing...even down to the chique dinnerware. Breakfast amazing...people and services fantastic. So peaceful. Come.Hotel Tugu Malang: "Fantastic museum that functions as a splendid hotel"
"The Hotel Tugu in Malang is truly a gem that is worth visiting when in the area. The high tea is amazing in a colonial setting with a huge array of teas and coffees and also the accompanying delicacies. I highly recommend going on the art tour with Manda, the Guest Recognition Officer. She eloquently explained the most important pieces of art and gave us a nice tour through the whole hotel. In the evening we went to the (cigar) bar, where there's an impressive selection of cocktails, wines and spirits. The bartender was a bit disconnected, but made good cocktails. The breakfast was the only part we were able to enjoy at the restaurant, since we went somewhere else for dinner. Again, a huge selection from which you can choose your preference (healthy options included). Certainly worth visiting, especially for the price they offer. I can even highly recommend the Presidential Suite for 15,000,000 that Manda was so kind to show us. What an impressively sized bed it has, wow! John from the reception was extremely kind too! I almost forgot the most amazing part: even though it's located right in the heart of the city and next to a busy road, the rooms are completely quiet and you enjoy a relaxing sleep."Satri House: "Beautiful hotel – loved our four nights at Satri House"
"I loved Satri House - the rooms and public areas are stunning. I loved the antiques and art work and the gardens. It felt like an exquisitely restored home rather than a hotel. The rooms are dark, and the floors do creak (upstairs), but this is because the hotel is in an old house. I wanted to move in. I also thought the staff were lovely and I liked the location. It was in a quiet area away from the main tourist streets, but a very short walk to them. Stayed January 2017, traveled with family"
