Maison Polanka: "Wow….Spectacular"

Review by: Intanboy | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed at the Maison Polanka with 2 families recently. The owner Kathy and her staff were outstanding. This place is basically 1 acre property with a 4 bedroom homestead on it as well as a 1 bedroom homestead. We were fortunate enough to have the run of the place for 4 nights which meant we had our own staff whenever we need them. Lovely place to stay, really enjoyed the tranquility of the property.

Locavore: "Great food taste experience and fine dining"

Review by: Ben R | Source: Trip Advisor
Luxury food from local grounds. We received 10 snacks before the actual 7 course menue! They chief really managed to surprise us with overall 17 very different tastes. It’s not a place where you go to eat one dish. But it’s the perfect place to experience a huge variety of tastes. If you are looking for something special - this will be.

Nimmu House: "Un vrai paradis"

Review by: Corinne L | Source: Trip Advisor
Magique!

Manda De Laos: "Best duck I’ve ever eaten"

Review by: Bobbinson | Source: Trip Advisor
"We got here around half 6 without booking and managed to get a table for 2. We ordered a cocktail and ice tea which were both delicious. For food we had the Laap balls to start, which were 6 meatballs with a dipping sauce, very good and just the right size to share as a starter. For main we had the tamarind duck and the buffalo steak with one serve of crunchy coconut rice. The meats were cooked to perfection. The buffalo was the requested medium rare and the duck just slightly pink and very tender with crispy skin. Even the rice was delicious, it came as a good size portion, enough to share between 2 with the generous servings of meat. Although the most expensive food we have had in luang prabang it was by far the best meal so definitely worth the little bit extra!"

The Village House: "Peaceful location"

Review by: R B | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you're looking for an action packed location then this is not your place but if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful place to unwind then this is the perfect. The Village House is about a 40 minute drive from Kuching in the village of Santubong. It's a beautiful place with nicely designed and comfortable rooms and great bathroom. There's a beautiful pool area to relax in and the food here is very good. I spent two nights here where i relaxed by the pool, read a couple of books, enjoyed the food on offer, drank some wine and just enjoyed this lovely place. When I felt energetic i walked through the village and down to the beach to watch the sun set. The staff can arrange tours and transport if you do want to get out and do things but it is a great place to relax. Beautiful! Peaceful! Relaxing!"

Dewakan: "A Revelation"

Review by: etsija | Source: Trip Advisor
"Many Europeans find the traditional Malaysian Cuisine challenging, with blachang , ikan bilis and fiery sambals. However at the Dewakan you will experience a startling transformation ! The chef has worked in Denmark at Noma, regarded by many as the best restaurant in the world were only local produce is used. The Chef has taken this concept to Malaysia and uses only local raw materials except for the lamb. The result is amazing. This new take on traditional Malaysian dishes is very appealing both in taste and presentation. Do not miss this experience !"

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Wonderful retreat to experience the peace that is northern Kerala"

Review by: chairunner | Source: Trip Advisor
"The approach is a bit inauspicious, but once you enter and are greeted by the scented garland, er person who places it over you and then brings a refreshing wash towel followed by coconut water still in the nut, you know you've entered a place that won't leave you wanting. This was my second stay because it provided a perfect respite from the vibrant and fun chaos that goes with visiting India and their cities in particular. The peaceful place that allowed me to relax and unwind before returning home. The Hermitage's layout is charming, with winding foot paths connecting the villas that are surrounded by nature. The bungalows are solid, spacious, comfortable, well furnished, with options for cooling (open windows & ceiling fan or closed windows and just ac). Staff are friendly and helpful, the Arabian Sea is swimable with a wide beach and the pool great as well. The on-site food is pretty good and they'll turn up the heat if you want it that way. And if one wanders off site, on foot or by bike, you'll experience the charm and warmth of the surrounding farming & fishing communities. When visiting India and you want a calm, 'oh this adventure had to end sometime, but let's end on a serene note', Neeleshwar is a wonderful place to unwind and just be. I'll be back again!"

Mathis Retreat: "Lovely boutique hotel – perfect hideaway"

Review by: Sylviaswau | Source: Trip Advisor
"I stayed here for a week and I miss it everyday! For the first part of the week, it was me and a girlfriend who came to Ubud to get away from the city, do a little exploring and do some yoga. We weren't sure if we wanted to stay in Ubud the whole time or go somewhere else in Bali, but after two nights, we extended our stay. One of our favourite things was having breakfast looking at out the private rice fields every morning, it was so relaxing. The pool had the perfect view. The hotel had a really good balance between a tranquil relaxed vibe, without being sleepy, and had some really good tunes throughout the day by the pool too (I ended up asking them for their playlist). The hotel was just a 10 minute scooter ride into town, which meant everything was really accessible without it being crazy all the time. My friend ended up going home early and I stayed on for an extra 2 days. The staff took such good care of me. And as a solo female traveler, safety is extremely important. They was so lovely and even taught me some Indonesian. The GM was super lovely and very hands on, she would come by and chat with the guests, without being intrusive. It was such a wonderful trip and the hotel was a huge part of it. Seriously, great rooms, great resto (really good food!), great view and great staff. I would definitely come back!"

MesaStila: "Excellent, Friendly Resort"

Review by: putridpm | Source: Trip Advisor
"It's a village so it's not in the middle of town but absolutely worth finding. From the time you check in, until you finally have to hand back the key, MesaStila pampers you up & down, in & out. The staff at the resort were the friendliest has we ever encountered. Everyone from the greeter at the gate, the check in staff, restaurant wait staff and spa/pool staff were so welcoming. Up and down the hills, the team will help you get around in their activities. Hiking, coffee plantation, yoga and various activities are available to tire you out. Go ahead and get tired. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable Room amenities include the robes and sundries you'd expect in a property of this calibre so it ends up being the staff that makes MesaStila such a great place to stay. It was a very relaxing trip and we will definitely be back! cheers!"

Supanniga Eating Room: "Our favourite Thai restaurant in Bangkok . Really tasty..great décor"

Review by: Barbara H | Source: Trip Advisor
"At the Supanniga Eating room we experience the flavours of Thailand..real provincial Thai food from the different regions..especially the eastern regions. The decor is exciting..and very cutting edge..exposed brick..huge smoky glass mirror..and it signature colours of shades of yellow...Exciting wall mural of cotton reels with yellows..i would have added a few more tropical plants.. Service is efficient, friendly and brisk..we did not have to wait long for these freshly prepared dishes..with friends one can order a range of food..my favourites this time..and I have been serval times..a salad of lemon grass and shrimps, omelette..and this amazing fish soufflé with a banana leaf wrapping ...Comfortable hip place with great tasty food..prices for the quality..reasonable..always full so booking is essential. A little touch..i loved the hand soap in the ladies and have been looking for it for sale in Bangkok."
