Satri House: "Absolute oasis of calm and tranquility"

Review by: Gillian B | Source: tripadvisor.com
After the hustle of Hanoi we flew into Luang Prabang and spent 3 nights at the Satri House Hotel, it was superb. In easy walking distance from the town centre, fantastic beautifully furnished room and lovely grounds with charming pool. The staff were also first class --- I can't think of a single criticism. We have travelled in Indochina before and use trip advisor regularly but this is the first time I have ben moved to write a review ---it was excellent.

REVERIE SIAM: "Quality hotel in Pai"

Review by: House M | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Beautiful hotel just outside the village of Pai. It felt like a true oasis in Northern Thailand. Every morning we were served the most amazing a la carte breakfast, delicious. There are two beautiful swimming pools where we relaxed the first day after the long scooter ride from Chiang Mai. Very low prices for food and cocktails, you would expect to pay a lot more in a 5 star hotel ike this. Only a short scooter ride to the village with many restaurants and bars. Here we discovered Northern Thailands, in our opinion most delicious dish: Khao Soi Gai. It can found in the main street where the night market is: two people are cooking on the street and they have a 'restaurant' behind them. They only prepair Pad Thai & Khao Soi Gai. Only 50B! Amazing. Please note that in the hotel only Western style food is served, no Thai food. If you want to relax a little also this is the perfect hotel to stay at in Pai. "

Nimmu House: "A really nice change of pace"

Review by: tigertomPackwood | Source: Trip Advisor
Most people spend their first night in Ladakh in Leh (the site of the airport) which is fine, but another- and arguably better- option is to drive one hour west to the village of Nimmu near the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, and stay at the wonderful Nimmu House. I stayed in one of the excellent and comfortable tents, which were both spacious and quiet (unlike Leh). The food was really good, especially the lemon chicken which was absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly, and the only improvements I could suggest would be some better grounds maintenance. I would definitely stay here again!

The Cabochon Hotel: "Calm at the end of a quiet Soi"

Review by: Springhil | Source: Trip Advisor
With restaurants and bars in the same Soi you can easily not travel far from base if you want! Styled on an old English colonial theme but built in last 10 years, it combines interest, comfort, a great Thai restaurant and a 22m rooftop pool. We stayed in a corner suite that had its own sitting room which was lovely for relaxing. There are many services apartment hotels in the area but this allows you to treat yourself a little with space and a balcony/garden.

Reverie Siam: "Must Stay while in Pai"

Review by: D J | Source: Trip Advisor
"Booked Reverie Siam without hesitation when I learned this resort is one member of secret retreats, where I used to had exceptional stay at Rachamankha in Chiang Mai in 2014. I'm not very clear what's the background of the secret retreats organisation, seems it's a collection of small boutique hotel in the world. I'm so happy that this decision was absolutely right, we had again an outstanding stay here at Reverie Siam, and I definitely recommend to all TripAdvisor reviewer who going to visit Pai. We took mini van from Chiang Mai ends up at Pai Bus terminal, called to the resort and been told they could pick us up, within 10 minutes the hotel TuTu is already here. Smooth check in and we were been showed to our Deluxe Garden View room, the resort only have 20 rooms in total, however it occupied a huge piece of land, with plenty of plantation offers absolute privacy. Spacious room decorated classic antique and made us a calm mood. Toiletries were all handmade local ingredients, strong rain shower clear our tiredness away. Swimming pool also surrounded by trees and flowers and butterflies are everywhere, we are enjoyed the mountain view from the pool, and as only 20 rooms, so not often met other guest, so when the time we visited, became our private pool. What a wonder land! Breakfast is amazing! After so many hotel I stayed, I tend to love a la carte menu rather than international full spread buffet, as for buffet, so much similarity among different hotels, I cam remember the list of buffet items, that's really boring, but an a la carte menu are different, it is carefully selected item with sincerity from chef and it certainly delicately presented to please my appetite. This time I had egg benedict and transitional Thai porridge, both are delicious! Only one little thing could improve will be the wifi connection a bit slow or certain area no signal, I understand the land is big it may occur sometime. Hotel TuTu is frequently available when you need to go Pai walking street or come back to hotel, just give them a call. After we check out, staff were so nice, still send us to next hotel in Pai. My strongest recommendation to stay Reverie Siam if you are here."

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Excellent boutique hotel"

Review by: Teddy-at-large | Source: Trip Advisor
"Excellent choice for a quiet, rural experience. Nice garden with a good swimming pool. Large well designed rooms in rustic Lao-colonial way and with a large balcony/terrace. Service is great and personal. Breakfast is with fresh fruits, coffee, fresh juice, wonderful warm breads and croissants, and a choice of different eggs. Transport to the other side is quite easy. Free boat service for drop-off and pick-up thar worked flawlessly during our week. There is a bamboo-bridge a few hundred meters away (5000 Kip / 0.65 USD). You have to scale/climb a few flight of stairs that are a bit rickety. Free bicycles to cross on a small bridge a bit further away. Tuktuk to town is 50 KKip / 6 USD. Watch the monks alms ceremony by the temple a few hundred meters to the right from the reception ar 6:15 am. Almost no tourists, so respect this holy cermony with minimal intrusion. Take the road to the left where you reach a temple with a wonderful view over the river. Only problem we had was the WiFi, but we got a separate modem that worked really well."

Maison Polanka: "Amazing!!!"

Review by: mmcbattin | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I recently stayed at Maison Polanka for our honeymoon. From he moment we arrived we were blown away! The staff was unbelievable! They we were warm and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The hotel property is beautiful and the room was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was delicious! We also had dinner at the hotel a few nights and the food was superb! We were sad to leave this special place and can't wait to return.

Tugu Lombok: "Highlight of our honeymoon!"

Review by: marie5374 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We arrived and were immediately treated like VIPs. The service was amazing. We were greeted by Henri one of the managers and escorted to our villa. From that first moment onward the hotel staff went above and beyond. We came to Tugu from a trekking trip and my husband was getting over stomach issues that started on the trek. During the first breakfast, he needed to go back to the villa to lay down. When I told the server that, they immediately offered and delivered his food to our villa for him. They also made him a special herbal tea, which really helped his stomach. In every instance, they went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. We sent a bunch of our dirty laundry from the trek to the laundry to be cleaned and it came back perfect, not one stain remained. I don't know how they got all the dirt off of our clothes and boots!! The food was definitely another highlight. We loved that there was no set time for breakfast. So when we decided to sleep in, we could still get breakfast at almost lunch time. They had a wide variety of balinese as well as continental breakfast options. They also had a variety of coffees from different Indonesian islands. I loved trying a different coffee each morning. They also offer to serve you dinner where ever on the grounds you would like. If you would like to have dinner on the beach, in a special bamboo hut on the beach, by the temple, anywhere-they would make it happen. We had a special BBQ dinner on the beach where we had our own chef and server who cooked up an amazing dinner of fish, octopus, lobster, chicken, and vegetables. There was no way we could finish all of the amazing food! We also took a snorkeling tour to Gili island from the hotel. We didn't realize we would have the boat and the driver and guide all to ourselves all day. They made recommendations and we decided where we wanted to go. We wandered around on the islands and went to different snorkeling spots. We could take as long as we wanted at each place. It was amazing! Our honeymoon package came with a free 30-minute massage, which we both upgraded to an hour massage. The quality of the massage was excellent and personalized with exactly the amount of pressure we had requested. Overall, this was definitely the highlight of our honeymoon. With 1 km of white sand beach and beautiful views of the sunset, this 5-star resort had 5-star service (or better). This is truly a special place. We look forward to coming back."

MesaStila Resort and Spa: "Best hotel EVER"

Review by: Raphaëlle A | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed for three nights at the MesaStila hotel and was blown away! The rooms are breathtaking, large, with enormous bath-tubs and rose petals, beautiful beds, and huge porch overlooking trees and valley. The service is impeccable, with housekeeping stopping by both morning and evening, to add special touches, fruit, etc that make the stay so special. Every single detail of the location is beautiful and made with love. Including the coffee which is grown and roasted on their very own plantation! Truly UNFORGETTABLE. Anyone should visit MesaStila!

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Just Fantastic"

Review by: Kate E | Source: Trip Advisor
"My mum and I stayed here in the luxury tent and it was fantastic. I poked my nose in the more Safari style tent and it was too basic for me but other people seemed to enjoy the adventure. The luxury lodge was air conditioned, spacious, comfortable, ensuite, hot water etc... the lounge for pre and post dinner drinks was welcoming and friendly, the food was AMAZING and the chef will do a cooking demo if you ask. We saw six leopards over four drives, just delighted. We used the back gate of block one and also block five. Such a pleasant experience, not crowded and very successful. When we checked out they asked for feedback, I said a pool would be good - half joking! It's coming! But it's fantastic without anyway. Go go go! Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"
