Villa Song Saigon: "Absolutely charming hotel"
"A haven at the edge of the Saigon River. A beautiful, peaceful spot to chill out after a hot session of sightseeing. Chef Kevin, always eager to please with innovative Western based menus liberally sprinkled with South East Asian herbs and spices, great. Restaurant and hotel staff greeting us with their gentleness and smiling faces all the time. I can only highly recommend Villa Song "Locavore: "Stunning… Again"
Once again Locavore blew us away. What they do is spectacular and they appear to deliver the goods without drowning the dishes with unnecessary foams and jus - the creativity seems to lie in spectacular combinations of products and spices that give and give on the palate. Just stunning and very clever. We dined with a chef from Australia and she was hugely impressed. Always nice when your guests are thrilled. Keep up the spectacular work!!Rachamankha: "Beautiful haven"
"Perfect location within the old city walls so everything within walking distance. Everything about this hotel was perfection, beautiful building, grounds and rooms, lovely artwork and library, wonderful pool and delicious food in restaurant. Everything is peace and tranquility and the staff are very friendly and take great pride in their work. It's a true oasis with all the hustle and bustle of the city close by if you want it. Would thoroughly recommend it and will be going back next year. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Locavore: "One of the best restaurants in Bali"
In short, Locavore is one of the best restaurants in Bali and in Indonesia. Just fantastic on every level and it offers some unique dining experiences. It really is a fun and interesting restaurant with a cool atmosphere. The food is delicious and it manages to tickle all your senses and taste buds. The only option here is the tasting menu (5 or 7 dishes) as there is no a la carte menu as far as I know. All the dishes were unique and creative and combined modern cooking with local and traditional cuisines. I think my favourite was the “Let’s call it a ceviche” fish dish and the “Into the sawah” duck egg dish. Both looked so beautiful and tasted terrific. In short, we all very much enjoyed our dinner here. The only thing that disappointed me was a cocktail that I had ordered, because I think it contained too much bitters. I couldn’t finish it. The food and presentation was amazing though. So, I think I’ll be back when they change their menu.Tugu Bali: "Amazing holiday at beautiful hotel"
"Had a great week at Tugu over Christmas with family. The hotel is decorated with Balinese furniture and art, including in the rooms. Food was very good; nice choice at both the restaurant and for in-room dining. Rooms were first-class; we had a villa with private pool and it felt incredibly private. Service from the hotel staff was also excellent with great attention to make our stay very relaxing; all our needs were met including those from our impatient 5 yr old. Would definitely stay there again if we head down to Bali."Satri House: "Great hotel"
"We just returned from a 5 day family trip staying at Satri House. We had a great stay. The pool was perfect for our little girl, as the temperature this time of year gets pretty high. We eat in the hotel restaurant for most of our meals. I must say the Laos food was outstanding. The staff were brilliant throughout the whole hotel. Yes it was noisy with all the New year celebrations, but for residents to complain about this is pretty silly. I can guarantee there's pretty much music playing all over town, and its time for all the great people of Laos to celebrate and cool down with plenty of water fights. Thanks again. Gareth, Selene, Carol and Josie"tugu lombok: "Paradiso"
This place stunned me. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. The staff was great and very helpful. Every single thing I ate at the resort was a total culinary pleasure. Breakfast on the beach, candlelit dinner on the rooftop, fresh juice by the pool. We went in the down season and it meant that we felt basically alone. Our room and private pool were so enchanting and the recovered and traditional artwork all over the resort really makes this place something special. Probably one of my favourite places I've ever stayed if you just want to escape. There is also a number of interesting things to do around the resort like visiting the Gili Islands or the volcano. A++The Island Lodge: "So glad that we stayed at the hotel, although it was for only one night"
The quality of the service in Vietnam is first class. This is the fifth hotel we have stayed in during our visit and they have all been excellent. The Island Lodge is a bit special. It is the vision of the owner and his wife. You get the feeling that you are staying as a house guest. The only pity for us was that our stay was only for one night. Do have a massage or other treatment. I am sure there is lots to see around the hotel but we just soaked up the atmosphere along with having some great food and a few beers.Pindaya Farm House: "Excellent warm and cozy boutique hotel with amazing food!"
"My wife and I stayed at Thahara in Pindaya on our last night in Myanmar. What a delightful end to such an enjoyable trip. Thahara is situated on a private farmhouse, providing such a warm and cozy feeling to guests. The hosts were very gracious and warm. The views of the surrounding fields - especially during sunset and sunrise - are breathtaking. The host family prepares delicious meals and use produce and herbs from their garden, taking ""farm to table"" to a whole new level. The food was absolutely spectacular, as not only is it so fresh, but the hosts are amazing cooks. The rooms were all modern and in great condition. We highly recommend staying here!"MesaStila: "Top notch"
Beautiful resort with actual villas relocated from the region to this coffee plantation. Tons of antique furniture. Good food, extremely friendly staff. I would highly recommend if you're in the Semarang area, make the couple hour drive up for a weekend retreat. You won't regret it. Also, make time to do an hour tour of the coffee plantation. They do it around 10am, very interesting. Also you can ride horses to the neighboring villages, didn't have time to do it but would have loved it.
