Stayed here for two nights in July. Room was spacious and well maintained with everything that you could need. The swimming pool is clean and very welcoming after a hot day. All staff are very good. Only had breakfast here which was fine but dinner menu also sounded good.The Village House: "Fabulous retreat-you must stay here"
"We stayed at The Village house in mid August this year (2015), and we loved every minute of our stay. The rooms are luxurious, wonderfully comfortable and thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself is stunning, everything has been done for you to effortlessly enjoy the stunning surroundings and allow you to fully relax. We took lots of trips from The Village House, all of which were excellent and extremely hassle free. We ate in the restaurant every day and never had a bad meal, again a really thoughtfully put together menu and everything was fabulous. The environment is great, the food is nice and staffs are friendly. There was a musical function at night during our stay, they provided us a round trip free taxi ride to district 1 for dinner. The boat ride to the city center is one of the great experience.Villa Mathis: "Quelle sérénité"
For our first time in Bali, we chose to stay at La Villa Mathis. We loved this haven. This hotel is a beautiful concept, atypical bedrooms in small independent corners with 4 pools in total! You feel free to move in the middle of this very restful greenery, to swim where you want. Everything is well thought out, very nice decor throughout the hotel, plus personal pampering and smiling throughout the day! What happiness! We will not hesitate to return and reside also in Ubud. We go to lunch at Mathis Retreat during our day in Ubud and it is also a delight. What serenity !!: "Instant Relaxation"
"This is the most gorgeous place. Each of the 12 villas are dotted around the most beautiful, lush garden. Our double deluxe villa was large with a four poster bed covered by mosquito nets. The highlight was an outdoor shower and bathtub surrounded by more lush plants. A high stone wall giving complete privacy. The infinity pool overlooking the sea was another highlight. We enjoyed the breakfast options and two for one happy hour cocktails. The sunsets are spectacular. Ms. Narin and her staff were responsive to all our needs and looked after us so well. "Very beautiful traditional Hanok guesthouse. Staying here really is an unforgettable experience. Especially at night when the place is beautifully lit, it almost seems like a fairy tail. Sleeping on the 'ondol' heated floor with Korean-style bedding may not be for everyone (I personally had some trouble sleeping on the floor), but this sure is an experience not to be missed when in Seoul. I booked the Patio room which had a separate bathroom with a wooden tub. You can choose between Korean style breakfast or continental. Of course I went for the Korean style breakfast, which was excellent. Breakfast is brought to your room so you can enjoy it in the privacy of your own room. The owner of RakKoJae is very friendly and helpful. Moreover RakKoJae is situated right in the middle of the Bukchon Hanok Village and just a small walk away from both the Gyeongbok Palace and the Changdeokgung Palace. Staying at RakKoJae is rather expensive though."Sea Dance Resort: "Chill out in the pool"
After sailing around Samui the whole week we need to chill-out at a special location. The Sea Dance Resort allow residents to use the pool during our stay. My wife enjoyed a deep thai massage and my son and me had a healthy lunch and some drinks at the pool bar. Great afternoon.Bassac Cruises: "Entente cordiale"
"This was a beautiful one night cruise at the end of our trip to the Mekong Delta. We transferred from Cai Be jetty by small boat to Bassac I where we were introduced to the boat in perfect English by Thuc. Our cabin was as expected small but cosy with a double bed and aircon and the luggage quickly became invisible under the bed. After a drink, our fellow passengers arrived 4 French, 2 Swiss (French speaking) and 2 English. Everyone got on very well and there was much laughter with respective groups trying out their English and French speaking! The food was good throughout. The service was great and the ambience on this wonderful wooden boat was relaxing. Trips off the boat x 2 were very interesting and fun and made the more so by Thuc! We would highly recommend this trip for rest and relaxation and plenty of watching the world go by as you cruise the Mekong."Rachamankha: "Quaint hotel"
Beautiful hotel and room. Loved the design and the property overall. A magical place for sure. Please make the effort to book it if in Chiang Mai. Stayed only one night in a Grand Deluxe room but would have liked to stay for more.
