Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Best stay"
We've stayed at Inle Heritage for three nights during out trip trough Myanmar and wished to stayed even longer. Everything was perfect: nice bungalow, very friendly staff, delicious food and nice boat trips organized by the hotel. We'll be back and would recommend this hotel to everyone.Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Simply wonderful"
"Wonderful place highly recommend it . We spent New Year's Eve here and it was fantastic . Inle Heritage has only 6 rooms which makes it very cosy and exclusive . The whole structure is built on stilts on the southern side of the lake. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is made in traditional style with good space for clothing . Every room stands alone with great privacy and a terrace with sunbeds overlooking the lake . So peaceful and truly special . Inle Heritage is not just a guest house is also the training grounds for 48 local students which attend hospitality classes on site everyday , however you wouldn't even realise that if not told as they are organically blending with the place daily activities. By staying here you contribute to their tuition fees as 60 % is reinvested in the community and different programs that run onsite . One other beautiful touch is the vegetable gardens that are grown onsite and everything you eat is freshly picked from there daily . Inle Heritage also runs a reintegration program of the Burmese cats, as they were apparently disappearing from their original land . There is a section , like a small island , that completely dedicated to the cats . I find it quite cute , but I am a cat lover , otherwise could come across a little random if you would ask my boyfriend instead:))) On site there is a shop which sells most products you will find around on your artisan village visits , I think quality here was better and even cheaper than in the small artisan shops . Few notes on the place : dress warm as in the morning and evenings gets very chilly ( December / January i was there ) Take into account around 20$ for each transfer from and to the hotel as is surrounded by water so you need to take a boat ( which is a nice experience on its own) to get anywhere Highly recommend the sunset on the lake The staff is magnificent and the level of service was comparable to European standards , food also fantastic they even catered for me being a vegetarian adapting all menus; the warmth and attentiveness of the people here do make it a truly unforgettable experience . Hope to be back one day and wish you an amazing stay Stayed January 2017"Maison Polanka: "A Tranquil Haven"
A beautiful traditional Cambodian house, with just five rooms, it could not have been more perfect. Set in a tropical garden with a lovely pool. Nothing is too much trouble, delicious breakfast and we had several lunches and suppers here. Just a 10 minute Tuk Tok ride from the manic hub of Siem Reap. I cannot recommend it more highly. Perfect place to releax after the excursions to the Temples.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Fabulous visit and incredible views"
Spent 3 glorious nights at Tiger Mountain Pokhara. It is an amazing place and worth the additional expense. The views to the Annapurna range are simply magnificent and waking up to a sunrise over the mountains is very special. The rooms/cabins are very luxurious and perfectly outfitted . The food is wonderful and always the option to have spicier Nepalese or tamer continental fare. The staff couldn’t be more helpful or accommodating whether it was to arrange specialty birding walks or medicine for a stomach ailment. After the hectic world of Kathmandu this place was more than a breath of fresh air. I would encourage you to make time to spend a few days at Tiger Mountain Pokhara!Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "A brilliant fusion of modern french with Thai flavours"
"Food at Le Du was quite exquisite. A simple menu with about 12 dishes in total spread across 4 courses. Each course has 3 dishes and you select each one for each of the 4 courses. The wine menu is extensive with reds from Portugal an interesting selection. Fusing modern French culinary dining with a Thai twist by adding subtle flavors of Thailand really made the dishes unique and stand out. I generally find Thai food too overbearing sometimes being too sweet, too salty, or both on most occasions. Even the top ranked restaurants like Nahm the food is horrendously salty to be almost unpalatable. Gaggan can sometimes be equally overkill on the salt. But at Le Du for once I was always looking forward to the next dish to taste how the chef gently infused Thai flavors into the his creations and almost on all occasions he delivered. I thought the desserts failed to carry the brilliance all the way through to the end with the cheesecake dish tasting and looking like it was from BreadTalk with a scoop of ice cream added. Unfortunate considering the previous 3 dishes were outstanding. Will definitely give the restaurant another try when they change their menu. "tugu bali: "Authentique Indonesian Decor"
"Without doubt, the room in Tugu Bali is one of the best we ever stayed. Everything was design to the utmost details to represent Indonesian (Java) beauty. We only stay in the Rejang Suite Ocean view for one night on the last leg of our adventure in Bali. The location in Pantai Batu Bolong, Canggu is rather secluded, but busy with surfers. Perfect for honeymooners. The staff are extremely helpful and polite; from the reception, bellboy, gardener, waiters. Definitely we want to come back and spend more time there "Villa Song Saigon: "Oasis"
This hotel is a good choice if you wish to spend some time relaxing at the hotel. The location is not near the main sights but they are an easy taxi ride away, so we didn't find this a problem. If you enjoy cute and chic boutique hotels this is a good choice in saigon. The restaurant has spectacular view of the river. The breakfast was superb.Pindaya Farm House: "Fantastic"
It was our last day in Myanmar just before flying to Yangoon and back home. It was exactly the place we were looking for after visiting and staying at different hotels around Myanmar. The location and the big hut are magical, look and feel as if inside a legend. The warm hospitality and the great food made us feel at home. unfortunately we stayed there 1 night only. Could stay there for a week.Sandat Glamping Tents: "Luxury camping"
Only stayed here one night but was a lovely way to camp .very cute tents with a private plunge pool .very private and peaceful located in the middle of rice paddies .resturant served excellent food .very clean ...only thing I could fault were the beds mattresses were a little to hard to sleep on but if only doing a night you can survive it .... Loved how each tent had a musical instrument which you had to play to get room service so much fun .....staff very nice ....all round a nice place to have some quite time ....Rachamankha: "Such a lovely hotel"
The Rachamanka did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, it was peace and tranquility. The staff was kind and eager to please. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. The grounds were lovely. The restaurant was delicious! I couldn't have asked for a better stay in Chiang Mai.
