Amata Lanna: "Beautiful small hotel"
"I visited Thailand September 2016. I am behind finishing my reviews, but I enjoyed this hotel so much I wanted to make sure I shared my experience with others. The hotel is small, yet beautifully decorated, clean and vey comfortable. The staff was awesome- very friendly and accommodating, making good suggestions and helping arrange local travel when needed. Enjoyed breakfast in the atrium and the small dining area upstairs. We stayed here for 3 nights, and it was easy to get around the town either on foot or via taxi. There were restaurants within walking distance, and we were able to walk to one of the night markets. Great visit and would definitely stay here again. Stayed September 2016, traveled with family"Muang La Lodge: "Séjour Inoubliable"
"Nous venons de séjourner pendant trois jours dans ce lodge et n'avons rien à redire. La manager Raphael gère cet hôtel avec excellence. Grande attention à chacun de ses clients. Notre chambre était spacieuse, propre et décor avec beaucoup de goût. Les repas excellents et les serveuses adorables. Nous vous le conseillons si vous passez dans cette région."The Hue House: "Excellent"
Good food and great service. We went there twice i.e. on the first day that we arrived Ho Chi Minh and on the last day that we left HCM city. Everything was just perfect!Misool: "Paradise found!"
"There really aren’t adequate words to describe our experience at MER. I have been fortunate to visit many gorgeous beach destinations worldwide but nothing can come close to Misool Eco Resort. Not only is it visually stunning but the entire experience is unsurpassed. The staff is warm, kind and attentive...nothing is too much trouble. The diving is the best in the world of course and what the founders and staff have created is an inspiration. Special thanks to Sue and Mark for creating such a wonderful experience for us and to Sabine my ‘scuba therapist’ and new friend. Being a nervous diver despite experience she went above and beyond to teach me, support me and help me grow tremendously in my diving skills. Our ‘once in a lifetime’ will definitely be repeated....we just left and miss it already. Lisa and John Mitchell"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Wonderfully relaxing"
"For years my wife and I's favorite place to stay was a boutique hotel in Thailand that we discovered while working there: a (for us) perfect combination of luxury, service and simplicity. Since that closed we've vainly been searching for a replacement. I suspect nothing will ever completely replace Laem Set in my heart, but Neeleshwar Hermitage is the closest we've come. After a week travelling in Rajasthan we were ready for a recharge. Neeleshwar allowed us to completely rejuvenate in a tranquil, beautiful environment with a wonderful ayurvedic spa and yoga and meditation options. The accommodation and food are of a high quality and the staff very solicitous (barring an unfortunate and atypical experience with an incompetent and impolite tailor at the resort shop). A shame that due to the Kerala liquor laws there are no spirits sold, so no pre-dinner cocktails, we'd maybe look to bring our own fixings next time. Local wine and beer is available on request, billed as ""cold supplies"" or some-such. Overall, much to recommend, and hopefully we'll be back soon. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Maduzi Hotel: "A hidden gem of a hotel in Bangkok"
Wow! This is the second time we've stayed at the Maduzi Hotel on Soi 16 Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. Our room was spacious, huge larger than king sized COMFORTABLE bed, work area for laptop and fax messages, included (free) non-alcohol beverages and snacks in fridge, plenty of amenities in bathroom, including an unusual jacuzzi tub (2 can fit....). Very close to Asoke SkyTrain elevated train(BTS) and MRT underground subway stations. Close to shopping at Terminal 21 Shopping Center, close to Soi Cowboy for go go bars, and the Argentine Steak House is a 10 minute walk....Outstanding. The cost...you ain't gonna believe it. A tremendous value compared to any of the big name hotels along Sukhumvit Road. Contact the hotel directly on their website - and initiate an e-mail to them to find out what deals are available. OUTSTANDING. (Please: the hotel has CNN in the Lobby, but not in the room - Al Jazzeeria and BBC are in the room) - although there is a Bose radio and dvd player, neither that player or the t.v. had an accessible USB or HDMI port to plug in your content from a laptop or external hard drive or smart phone. This needs to be addressed, but does not distract greatly from this room.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Heavenly eco-resort at the end of the world on a dream island"
We were absolutely sensational Baan Mangon! Best location, sensationally beautiful 28 beach villas, all of which include private individuals, which are rented from the hotel. The clubhouse / restaurant and reception with shop are like old colonial villas from Indochina with many antiques. One beach is completely deserted and miles long, the other in a child-friendly lagoon. At low tide you can walk in far into paddling in flight with a kayak in the Mangrovenflüsschen and watch monkeys. On this beach it has the pizza hut and lounge chairs with umbrellas. So I do not have to eat pizza in Thailand (but they are great!), I ordered a Thai Pèicknick in the restaurant and have it delivered to the scooter. The whole resort is simply sensational, a dream, absolutely amazing breathtakingly beautiful! All eating organic, much planted himself, every day four new starters and main dishes fresh. Perfect!Flower Island Resort: "Best Island in Philippines"
"When you arrive to Flower Island you feel like you have arrived to heaven!! My husband and I booked 2 nights in late September but once we arrived we immediately decided to extend to 3 nights. Luckily we were the only guests on the island and the stuff upgraded our room to the golden one. The room was very comfortable and clean and the view is amazing!! The water is crystal clear and you can do a lot of activities like snorkeling and kayaking. The staff were amazing, all of them are very nice, kind and with good vibes! We did the tour for the pearl factory and it was very interesting to get familiar with the process; after the visit, we had a private picnic for us on beautiful island nearby. Finally the food was DELICIOUS, every meal was different from each other. Don't hesitate to reserve this place, we highly recommend it!! Thanks again to the staff that made our honeymoon unforgettable!!"Maison Polanka: "Slice of Paradise"
After a long, hot day visiting temples, driving up to the front gates of Maison Polanka was a welcome relief. You knew from the moment you stepped through the gates, you would be well taken care of and be in an oasis of green. The staff treated us like long lost family and knew all our names from the moment we arrived. Our room (purple room) was spacious and well appointed with a great shower. It was clean and perfect. Meals by the pool were peaceful and delicious. There was really no reason to leave to go for meals. The swimming pool was small but the perfect place to cool off. My son (10yrs) was entertained by the bunnies and puppy and wandered the property freely. The tours and tuk tuks that were arranged were fantastic and reasonably priced. All in all, a great experience.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Historical beauty"
What a special and unique place to stay. Amazing high ceilings and fabulous architecture. VERY hot water in the shower and the nicest linen I’ve slept on in a long time. Breakfast was delicious. Didn’t eat other meals in the hotel but the menu looked great. The pool is in a sweet back garden which we had all to ourselves. No good for exercise but perfect for dipping, splashing and cooling off. Well located for a wonder to Love Lane and a gentle walk home after too much hawker food. I love this place. Staff were friendly and helpful but their English (although infinitely better than my Malay) not great.
