Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A perfectly relaxing idyll with fabulous staff and great food"
We stayed here for 8 days in early January & loved it. The resort is situated on a very quiet beach with golden sands & has amazing views of the sunset every evening. The pool is large & there are plenty of (very comfortable) loungers & the grounds are pretty and well maintained. There are 2 restaurants which offer different & delicious menus each day. The rooms are large, comfortable & immaculate & I really liked the half open bathroom. I had one spa treatment which was reasonably priced & very relaxing - I also appreciated the free ayurvedic consultation beforehand. We also took an evening cruise along the back waters on a houseboat organised by the hotel - we were the only people on a quite large boat so that was lovely. What really makes the resort stand out is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - they were lovely all the way through but particularly on my husband's 50th birthday when they decorated his breakfast table with flowers, presented him with a bouquet, presented him with a personalised birthday cake (& the whole team turned out to sing happy birthday) & wrote happy birthday in flowers on the bed - all of this for free & without my requesting it. It made the day & the holiday so very special - we were really touched & very appreciative.VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Fantastic boutique hotel on the river"
"We had 2 rooms and both were great. They are a little small but enough space for luggage. The room was well appointed. Mini bar and breakfast are included and if you are hungry you can have multiple breakfasts. The food was excellent. The outdoor dining area is beautiful and you don't feel like your are in the middle of the city. The staff are attentive and go out of their way to accommodate. We will definitely return. "SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Awesome !"
Lucia and Felix Eppiser have built a beautiful , tastefully done restaurant and are excellent hosts ! Service is personalized and efficient . Will go back again Sid from Shangri-laMie Cafe: "A Gem of a Restaurant"
"Amid the cicadas and frogs (they have their own pond, is a superbly done fusion dining experience. Clever dishes that are not overly complicated, good portion sizes and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the frogs legs, the burrita was amazing as was the local Lak Lak beef dishes (a local take on steak au poivre - though this is an injustice). Finished with a refreshing frozen like pie. With attentive staff, this made for a relaxing Sunday in Siem Reap. Any gripes? Nothing major - sometimes service seemed too attentive if there is such a thing and I mean they tend to over check if you're finished on a course."David’s Kitchen: "Fantastic experience"
The food, ambience and service are exceptional. The restaurant seems to be single handedly elevating the fine dining scene in Chiang Mai (one would expect a restaurant of this caliber in Bangkok or Hong Kong rather than Chiang Mai). Impressive to see David overseeing the entire operation and one can truly tell this is his passion project. The Hue House: "Incredible evening on a stormy night"
What a little gem of a rooftop restaurant. Our family of 4 really enjoyed the friendly and attentive service, delicious food and natures sound and light show. Highly recommended.Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Great food and service"
"We booked this months in advance. We had the 6 course menu at US$28 per person, which was good value for this standard of restaurant. All the courses were beautifully presented and were delicious. Their cocktails were also tasty. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, we sat inside that had air con. Staff were all very professional and attentive, spoke good English. Recommend you visit."Mie Cafe: "Very good food"
I just come Back from this lovely, precious ,romantic restaurant in siem reap. Shame I was dining alone as I am a solo traveler. I would recommend for a lovely romantic dinner ! Definitely a honey moon destination if you are visiting Angkor wat and stay in siem reap!!! The food was extremely tasty and well presented. I even had the chef coming at my table asking how it is going!!! I highly recommend it!!Cuca: "Wow, wow and wow"
This is an amazing restaurant. The location, the atmosphere, the simple yet classy architecture and the wonderful knowledgeable staff. The food is to die for and Chef Kevin Churkas has assembled a classy team in the kitchen to deliver outstanding food. This restaurant will stay in the memory bank for a very long time.Kinabalu Park: "Some tips for noobs (like me)!"
"Do not rush it. Take some time to enjoy the places in ranau and kundasang as well. We stayed at LODGE 37 for 2 days and its still not enough. Lodge 37 is located at ranau in between kinabalu park and ranau hot spring. Theres few trails inside the foot of mt kinabalu itself (dont need any ticket), so if u guys are up for it spend one whole day there. (Wont still be enough) For RANAU HOT SPRING, spend a day there as well. Theres more to it then just the hot spring, If u continue walking, u'll come across - 1) CANOPY WALK (few metres away) 2) KIPUNGIT waterfall (700m away) 3) BAT cave 4) and another waterfall (3km away) If u plan to go both ranau and foot of mt kinabalu on the same day, keep ur ticket with you. U wont have to pay for entrance of the latter if u show them ur tickets. On the last day, otw back to KK, Go for KIULU WATER RAFTING. Worth it for first timer. Maybe not so much for advanced rafters. And later, hav a lunch at SULAMAN. Where u can get fresh 'lokan' (shells), fried food (rice), and some coconut pudding for ur empty stomach. Then head back to KK. Sunset viewing at KOKOL HILL can be done either otw to ranau, or otw back from ranau. Choose which suits u best. We did it otw to ranau. Hope this helps. Even with few days research i didnt really get to know these facts, only when we are there and try it ourselves that we found out abt all this. Last but not least, just enjoy urselves! Stop worrying abt the time that u cant regain. Live the life, travelers! InsyaAllah."
