Tugu Lombok: "Fantastic"

Review by: Ian B | Source: Trip Advisor
"This has to be one of the best places we have ever been. So relaxing & looked after with great surroundings with also plenty of things to do with the kids. That is what a holiday is all about. The beach is so clear and perfect for kids as is not too deep! The architecture in this resort is breathtaking and the rooms are luxuries. When you walk in you will be amazed! Plus the food is very good, love the breakfast and everything is so fresh! We will be back! Stayed January 2017, traveled with family"

Talabgaon Castle: "WOW!"

Review by: Beddington210 | Source: Trip Advisor
When we all arrived, everybody said "Oh my God"! This place is really stunning & a great watering hole if you want to get away from it all. There is a camel cart ride to the village & an adjacent school which you can visit - I was invited in but, sad to say, on one spoke English!!! Be aware of lots of mini power cuts, though. English level of staff is poor.

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Amazing Location"

Review by: AnnHerts | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed in 'the bungalow' which was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable with the added bonus of wonderful scenery. The food and service in our own delightful dining room in front of a roaring log fire was perfect. The only major downside is the TERRIBLE access to Glenburn. I live in the country down an unmade up track and have a 4 X 4 to cope with our own tracks and lanes however, the 10 kilometre track that takes an hour each way (I was highly amused to see another review claiming it takes 30 minutes, this would only be possible if they flew!) to Glenburn is worse than 'challenging', it can only be likened to a steep dried up ancient river bed! My husband and I both suffer with arthritis and this journey very nearly killed us off. Such a pity as otherwise everything else was perfect!"

Cuca: "A hidden gem"

Review by: NeilLP84 | Source: Trip Advisor
You will not stumble across Cuca by accident; it's hidden on a quiet street a few hundred metres back from Jimbaran beach. We booked ahead and secured an outdoor table in the restaurant's garden, which was very peaceful and private. The food was really quite exceptional and exceeded my expectations. The plating, presentation and service rivals any fine dining experience. Please don't miss Cuca if you're in the area.

Inle Princess Resort: "A beautiful, peaceful place to stay"

Review by: HelenKH2678 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had a garden room rather than a lake room, but still beautiful. There's no tv in the rooms, but who needs that? It was just so peaceful. Great pool, bar and restaurant too and the staff were more than ready to help out with anything. I have coeliacs and the restaurant staff were happy to make something special for me, although that wasn't required as the food on their daily changing menu gave me lots of options. We were there late January and most of the other guests (and the staff) seemed to think the mornings and evenings were cold. Not for us. While the temperature was a little more temperate than other parts of Myanmar, we were perfectly comfortable without long sleeves and scarves, but I suppose that's a subjective experience. Room Tip: You could probably pay more and get a lake view room, but it's not necessary."

The Island Lodge: "Perfect"

Review by: Gakeitse | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent a few wonderful days here after a cruise on the Mekong. We received a warm welcome and brilliant service throughout. We took full advantage of the infinity pool and it was a great place to lounge and read beside. We cycled around the island and noticed that lots of weddings were being celebrated. Our stay coincided with New Years eve and we hugely enjoyed the special dinner served. Don't forget to ask the owner to tell you the story about the Opium related artefacts!"

Jing’s Residence: "Why did we stay only one night?"

Review by: jcrane66 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Actually, the answer to the question in the title of this review is that we didn't have more time to spend on holiday. Our greatest mistake was not having two nights at this lovely hotel. Imam at reception was kind and welcoming. He made us feel right at home. The room was gorgeous and the courtyards of the hotel are lovely. The hotel is so quiet - it was the best night sleep we had the whole holiday! The breakfast was off a menu and the choices were both Chinese and Western. And both of our choices were delicious. We also decided to eat dinner at the hotel. It was ""upscale"" pricewise, but the food was excellent and well presented. We also were able to try some of the local dishes which we would have missed out on if we were just wandering the streets. We would recommend this hotel to anyone - and we hope that one day we will find ourselves back in the Jing Residence.... "

Glenburn Tea Estate: "An outstanding very special place to stay"

Review by: GS64 | Source: Trip Advisor
This is probably one of the very best hotels we have stayed in anywhere. The location is magical (although be prepared for a very rough road to get there for about the last 40 minutes) and the ambience is particularly special. We could not have been better looked after by the staff who were attentive, efficient and friendly. Meals were quite superb, amongst the very best we had in India. William and Faye are excellent hosts and keep a watchful eye to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. I recommend it very highly indeed.

Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful Land"

Review by: DrFWM | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel is an absolute haven. Mrauk U is an incredible destination but can leave the traveller feeling a little worn, dusty and disorientated. The Mrauk U Princess Resort provides a calm, orderly and natural space to gather your thoughts and feel gently pampered. The food is very good and given the difficulties in sourcing ingredients such as wheat and coffee, provides an almost miraculous feat of delivering crispy, fresh croissants for breakfast every morning (make sure your come after 7.20am when they come out of the oven) with excellent coffee. Local food is also good, with delicious soup noodles for breakfast, and good salads and curries at night. The rooms are large and comfortable. I had a very small accident, entirely my own fault, but the hotel staff were responsive and professional, providing very good, simple but thorough medical care. One of the more remarkable experiences was hearing the wealth of sounds through the night as the environment is very natural and not subjected to the chemical exposure that many tropical resorts use. The result is a nighttime symphony of frogs, crickets, and cicadas.

Mathis Retreat: "Charming place"

Review by: jenzpost | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed in one of the lovely cottages for three nights. The staff are very friendly and Karin introduced herself to us on our arrival. It's a very tranquil place to relax in. The pool area is wonderful and the room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed a delicious evening meal at the restaurant. The hotel is a good walk from Ubud so we hired a driver and a moped during our stay, which the staff arranged for us. We arranged a massage on the morning of departure which was the only disappointment of our stay. The massage room was nice but the gowns provided were old and grey and the massage felt a little rushed. The two therapists were also whispering to each other throughout the treatment which ruined the relaxation somewhat. Overall though a wonderful stay."
