Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Amazing Lombok"
This is our second trip to Tugu Lombok which is very unusual for us as we rarely return to a holiday destination we've previously been so that speaks highly for Tugu. We are avid international travellers and travel on average 4-6 times a year and Tugu holds a special place in our hearts. It's a stunning setting so full of character and charm (unlike many souless 5 star hotels). Its a photographer's dream. The accomodation, food and service is second to none. Though unfortunately I can't remember all the names of the attentive and gracious staff I do want to thank one of the managers Hanny for her wonderful hospitality and impeccable customer service. I can't recommend this hotel enough.David’s Kitchen: "Excellent food, reasonable prices"
"I went on a date here with my (now) fiancee. I have to applaud David's kitchen for its flexibility in food and service - the clientele is a mix of thai nationals, Americans, Australians, Europeans, etc - yet the wait staff seem to be experts at responding to every inquiry. I had a food allergy (can't eat oats), and the wait staff was fast to swap out the bread for us. My fiancee was not a fan of her first soup order, and the staff exchanged it at no cost for another soup, which she liked much more. The actual food I would place at slightly above average. I ordered the strip steak. I can say I've had better steaks in America or Japan, but they were also more expensive. One dish doesn't make a restaurant, though - everything else was five stars: The truffle sauce was perfect. The appetizers were perfect. The chocolate lava cake was absolutely amazing. The cocktails were flawless. A mix of Thai friendliness and western elegance, this is a must for any traveler in Chiang Mai."Jing’s Residence: "Jing’s is an Amazing Experience!"
"Our family of four (kids ages 13 and 11) stayed 2 nights in 2 Courtyard Suites in June. The suites were directly across from each other in the first courtyard off of the hotel lobby. We wanted one room with 2 beds, but all the rooms have only one bed, which worked just fine because the beds are massive. The quality of the rooms and amenities is luxurious. Everything was spotless and tastefully done in a traditional Chinese courtyard style. The common areas of the hotel are fantastic. The hotel is expensive for Pingyao standards, but is a great value when considering the additional service and in-room amenities. The location is directly in the center of old town, but just off of the busiest pedestrian street. It is an easy walk to any restaurant or attraction in the old town. The beds were extremely comfortable and the hotel was very peaceful and quiet. Everyone slept great. The AC worked extremely well. Everything in the bathroom worked well, but was a little tight on space. There is limited light over the bathroom sink. The wifi worked well from our rooms. The service at the hotel is very high quality and everyone is extremely friendly. The breakfast is high quality, and made to order, but somewhat limited. Both western and eastern options are available. We also enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea both days, which was simple, but well done. We had an amazing experience at this hotel and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a unique traditional courtyard style hotel with fantastic service and all the modern amenities. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Pingyao."Manda De Laos: "Beautiful setting"
Striking setting... the large wooden decks over the ponds, the lights and colors... it is a unique place in Luang Prabang. Pan-asian cuisine, original presentation and attentive service: Manda de Laos must be on the list of gourmet romantic diners when visiting Luang Prabang. The Apsara Rive Droite: "Great Location! Great Hotel"
"We had a main floor room. It was large and so was the bathroom. Both the bed and the bathtub were high so there may be a problem for persons with mobility problems. Air conditioned plus a fan. Well kept and clean. The hotel was one short block from the main street where the monks come every morning. It was a ten minute walk to the night market and easy walking distance to many wats nearby. Also close to boats for river trips, especially sunset cruises. Breakfast for westerners consisted of juice, fruit, bacon and eggs, local french inspired bread and coffee. highly recommended. We got a great deal at US70.00 per night. Was worth more than that. Room Tip: All rooms face the river and a busy street which is not noisy after 10:00 at night."Inle Princess Resort: "Exquisite"
"The place was soooo breath-taking in a peaceful way, we did not want to leave the room for going around. Elegant in design, perfection in details, the service quality is top-nudge, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, thoughtfully designed (we loved the shower outdoors) and simply beautiful... This comes in the heavenly view to the lake, which is isolated from the touristy crowd, and they made an effort to reduce the noise as well by not allowing the very noisy motors of the boats to run at a certain distance... (If anything, wifi strength in the rooms was deviating; but then again, all connections outside of bug cities in Myanmar is tricky; and I was happy to be disconnected for the 2 days, just to enjoy the beauty of the location) Simply gorgeous"Inle Princess Resort: "Loved it"
"I loved this hotel. Our chalets were huge and extremely comfortable, and I much appreciated the free minibar containing soft drinks. There were all the amenities you would expect, and the turn down service and cleaning of the rooms was excellent. The view across the lake was also splendid. We made good use of the spa, which has to have the most enormous treatment rooms anywhere. And the treatments were first class. The only thing that I would criticise are the steps into the bathroom and out to the outdoor shower from the room; the steps are all the same colour and in dim lighting merge into one another, with the result that we both tripped down them. A couple of white outlines on the steps would help enormously. There was a very nice bar area, which was extremely efficient and well-run. And the food in the restaurant was also good."The Island Lodge: "Perfect"
"We loved the Island Lodge. The resort is beautiful and serene, particularly after experiencing the bustle of HCMC. Our room was spacious with a generous balcony overlooking the pool and the river beyond. Great pool with plenty of loungers, shaded and unshaded. Attentive and efficient staff. The owner made a point to personally welcome us and was on hand to say good-bye. We highly recommend the spa- the herbal massage was possibly the best we'd ever had. We enjoyed our meals in the restaurant and thought the prices were reasonable. The only negative aspect of our stay is that it wasn't long enough. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Rachamankha: "New year"
"New Year count down was memorable ..The fabulous new year count down party are the best ,we never enjoyed and have much fun with all the east meet west as the hotel provide..We love everything the food and non stop Champagne... Will going back soon! "Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Stunning Views of the Pokhara Mountains"
Our stand-alone bungalow was delightful, decorated in local handicrafts. It had its own patio, where afternoon tea was served. Be sure to do the bird watching tour in the local area if you have time. The service and food were impeccable, the staff will treat you like royalty. The views are to die for!
