"We stay at Villa Song Saigon only for one night but we got a late check-out since our flight depart late in the evening. The shuttle boat is fabulous. You could book the schedule and enjoy a 20-min ride to the city center which avoid the bustling traffic on the road and feel like a celebrity. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and we have a variety of local flavor and western style to choose from. You could also enjoy the pool, whether swim or do nothing. I would echo all the previous reviews. Yes this place is out of the way, and in a completely different spot to the big resorts in Damai. But that is exactly the reason for choosing it, it's very intimate and relaxing, there's no kids around and you feel like you're experiencing something closer to Malaysian culture.Tugu Malang: "bagus"

This cruise exceeded our expectations. Its not the cheapest cruise on the river but the reward for paying a bit extra is a great service & six delicious courses of food that is personally delivered to your table with an accompanying description of the meal on offer. We loved the traditional with a modern twist, classy but funky vibe of the cruise all set against the stunning backdrop of the Chao Praya river at night. "We spent 3 nights here, looking for relaxation and a beautiful setting. We definitely got this and more. The service was fantastic, staff were happy to help in anyway possible and went above and beyond. The food is some of the best I've ever tasted, not to mention the cocktails! Whilst it wasn't walking distance from town, it is very easy to get a taxi and to be honest...you might just find that you never want to leave the resort anyway as they have everything you need! Hotel Tugu is a magical place, with an amazing location and fantastic decor / atmosphere. This is the perfect place for couples looking for a few days of quiet and calm. We enjoyed a moonlit dinner at Tugu's beachfront garden and also had a fun cooking class with Daisy! "What else can I say that others haven't already said? WOW Borneo does an amazing job making sure your visit to Tanjung Puting will be one of your most memorable experiences ever. From the amazing, spacious Klotok boat, to the tasty and abundant food, to the little things like passing out a cool wash cloth when you return from shore, these guys are really and truly committed to their work. One really nice example: at the start of the trip we changed our plans to spend more nights on the boat rather than stay for a night at Rimba Lodge. Our friends at WOW handled the change gracefully and promptly wired back the funds I had pre-paid for the hotel. My only wish, and it's small, was to get more local historical and cultural insight (in English) from our guide, Pretty - who to be fair is relatively new on the job. This small hotel of 21-22 rooms represents everything we were looking for: quiet, successful aesthetic of the hotel and rooms, friendly staff and very caring and above all a magnificent swimming pool and views of the rice fields of your dreams! The hotel is about 2-3 km from the inner city of Ubud. As we drove our rental car, it was not a problem for us but once we went walking through rice fields and villages. Enchanting! Karine, the hotel manager is Belgian and Liege, like me 😉 She came every day during breakfast to greet and see if she could help / advise. Very nice, affable and smiling, just the right person! An remarkable zen experience, carefully designed and beautifully manicured grounds, surprising outside living room niches to relax and reflect, architectural brilliance, breathtaking antiques in every corner, friendly management, comfortable rooms, quiet and peaceful atmosphere, a gorgeous pool, a spectacular library. Only disappointment was the restaurant. We had some difficulty with breakfast service on the first day, but the management corrected that situation by the next day. Location is perfect. Our taxi driver affiliated with the hotel was so extraordinary that we hired him to take us on city tours for 2 days. After a day of running around, the grounds provided immediate tranquility. Incredible vistas; waking up for a swim to the nearby island by jumping in the river; safe environment in the midst of a jungle; amazing holiday for an affordable price... must pass if you visit Cambodia! A unique place and something you will remember for as long as you will live and that's an understatement!
