Maduzi Hotel: "Highly reccomand and great service"
"I stayed in Maduzi for 3days I’m satisfied with the services that they gave to us, the room, the food and assistance are great. The location of the hotel is at Schumvit soi16 , a few walks from there and you’ll reach the sky train easily. anyway I wanna say thank you for your service from Korea, hope that stay there soon Mr kim who loves BKK"David’s Kitchen: "The best restaurnt we’ve ever visited"
"My husband and I love trying out the local fancy restaurants when on holiday, but fear we might have peaked at David's Kitchen! We still have 2 weeks of our Thailand adventure but doubt anything could better our amazing night this evening. The transport is lovely, private AC transport in a nice car. Extremely warm welcome from the very lovely staff. Lots of personal touches on the table, e.g. our names, an anniversary card - there is so much thought and detail given to each table! The lovely owner, David, is walking around all night chatting to the guests. He does this all 6 nights the restaurant is open, so must love his job!! He has really interesting stories to tell so definitely engage him in conversation :) The menu is amazing, we spent a good 20 minutes deciding what to eat as it all sounded so good! The cocktail menu is extensive and includes a fab mixture of classics and signatures, and are extremely well priced. The food was amazing too and very fast service, but we never felt rushed. Even though we were both so full we had to squeeze in dessert as we were enjoying the food so much! We asked David about his chef and were kindly invited into the kitchen to meet him! We've now got a great picture with David and all the team we'll never forget :) And the icing on the cake was being presented with a beautiful bunch of roses to celebrate our anniversary :) the evening, food and service was absolutely fantastic and perfect. It was one of the best nights of our lives and will certainly not be forgotten! Thank you to David, your lovely wife and chef, and all of the team for a perfect evening."Satri House: "Absolutely wonderful"
"This is a truly amazing gem of a boutique hotel. The manager introduced himself on our arrival and the staff were exceptionally helpful. There are 2 pools, a spa and lovely grounds to relax in. Breakfast is either continental with a range of cooked eggs or local. The basket of pastries was fresh and they melted in your mouth. The tomato jam is excellent as is the tamarind. If you ask the recipes are available. The room was beautiful with local antique furniture and if you ask they will provide a kettle and tea making facilities. You can also request a tv but with the balcony and gardens who needs a tv! Look forward to returning some day. Congratulations on your property and staff."Arumdalu: "Isolated natural beauty"
I visited with my wife for a weekend getaway from Jakarta, and found this to be a wonderful tonic for hectic traffic and work stress. It is isolated, and the drive from the airport is about an hour and 15 minutes, which is something to consider. However, we were very happy to be met by the resort's driver, and William, who took us on a short visit to the town for local coffee and noodles, which were great! The resort itself is still relatively new, and the staff's knowledge of English was limited, but their attentiveness, service, and friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcome. The facilities are wonderful, with private (one bed) Villas with lovely open floor plan, private plunge pool surrounded by views of forest and natural sounds. The beach is white sand and you can literally be the only people on it, which is amazing for Indonesia, but there are lots of little jellyfish in the ocean, so be careful. The food was wonderful, and the chef quickly took in our pescetarian dietary preference and began to create delicious offerings for us with fresh seafood and veggies (some grown on the premises). It is pricey, but is a wonderful luxury getaway spot.Summertime Villa: "Warm perfection"
"Summertime Villa in Calangute Goa is one of those rare places where every thing is right To wake up in a place full of sunshine and walk with bear feat over the warm tiles to the terras and have a delicious breakfast. This is what a true lazy holiday can be. The staff is always ready to serve you. Lots of attention to detail, we loved the abundance of birds. There are many colourfull birds around the house, but also insite where all kinds of bird figures are around you. The hosts also own a boat, a sunset trip to the lagoon is lovely, we even saw a dolphin. We are a family of 4 with teenage children, lots of space in three big bedrooms"Villa Mathis: "Fantastic stay in a little piece of paradise"
"Stayed in La Villa Mathis for three days and enjoyed every bit of it. Me and my travel companion tremendously enjoyed the quiet ambience of the villa and the villa manager Christian was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The villas have several swimming pools secluded from one to another and we felt like it is reserved specially for us! What a treat! The villa is located quite near with Seminyak strip and the villa staffs will assist you in arranging the transportation. The room was designed in a very thoughtful details and we felt like we can really switch off and rejuvenate in this place. Overall it is an absolutely amazing stay and we definitely will come back to Villa Mathis!"Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "A unique experience, best service you can find"
"We have traveled a lot around the world in both high luxury hotels and small guesthouses, but we must admit that I have rarely had such a nice experience as the one we got at Thahara Inle Heritage. To us, this hotel has it all : the luxury bungalows with quiet private terrace right in the middle of Inle lake (that you would expect to find in a a 5* hotel) and the adorable welcoming service that you can only find in small intimate guesthouses. Plus, the food is divine (and the breakfast, Oh My !) and very much affordable for the location, so what more can we ask for ? Well, you could wish that your money goes to a good cause, and it does. Thahara Inle Heritage is part of the not-for-profit training center that prepare local young people for careers in restaurants and hotels. That explains the amazing and welcoming service ! It also had its own amazing garden full of delicious vegetables, which explains the amazing local cuisine of their restaurant, and works towards full sustainability, so you are assured to contribute to a green stay. You can also take part in one of their cooking class if you have time, surely the best one you can find in the country ! Or you can just wander around the Thahara, pay a visit to their Burmese cat center or check out their local Aquarium. Or you can hop on a boat and head to Nampan market, 5 minutes away, or leave for a memorable boat drive to the Sankar, on the very southern shores of the lake. Endless possibilities, total freedom, breathtaking views. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Myanmar. PS: as for the previous comment, fear nothing if you are a light sleeper, Thahara provides you with earplugs in your room, though we did not need them. And if you are afraid to be cold at night on the lake, you will be happily surprised to find hot water bottles in your bed to warm you up when you come back to your bungalow at night. Brilliant. Stayed January 2016"Sandat Glamping Tents: "Romantique"
"accueil très agréable à revenir avec plaisir sans hésitation. cadre romantique piscine privé en pleine jungle, service à disposition (scooter, voiture).fleurs à votre arrivée sur le lit et dans la piscine , parasol remplacer chaque jours. Stayed May 2016, traveled as a couple"Supanniga Eating Room: "Food overdose"
The menu is very extensive from fish to vegetarian. Lovely ambience albeit the size of the restaurant. Gets pretty busy during peak hours. The prices are not expensive but the quality is almost fine dining.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Maybe one of the best over the world"
"I stayed two nights at Four Rivers and it was a nice dream. This floating hotel is located in a beautiful jungle's river far away from everywhere. The rooms/tents are luxurious but not fancy. With private terrace over the river, you can swim in the fresh and clean water of Tatai's river. Also you can drink a beer while you're watching the jungle, the birds and the fishes. Food in 4 rivers is 5 stars and the staff also. Everybody is very professional and try to explain you everything about the jungle, the life in the nearest villages etc. They have many trips to discover the area. Don't miss the fireflies trip during the night, kayaking in the mangrove and the sunset cruise. So, everything is perfect in this ecolodge."
