Tugu Bali: "Amazing Karma Mantra Massage"

"Went for a Karma Mantra (Chakra Awakening) massage and what an amazing experience. Very powerful and beautiful space. One of the best massages ever so I ended up booking a second one 2 days later before I left Bali to experience again. Worth every penny. Powerful ceremony after the massage after which time a plate of fruit is delivered. Nice space to integrate the energies. Must try. Also had lunch at hotel and it was amazing. Stayed March 2017, traveled solo"

Chakrabongse Villas: "Wonderful Oasis in the heart of Old Bangkok"

"What a wonderful place. Bangkok was supposed to be a place where we adjusted to the time difference in Thailand - but actually loved our experience here - and much of it is thanks to our expereience at the Chakrabongse Villas. Now don't get me wrong - I gave it 5 stars because I can't give 4.5 - but this really is a lovely property and so close to many of the important sites here in the city. Our experience here in Bangkok got off on the wrong foot - but the Villas made it right almost instantly. Our prearranged driver was a no-show at the airport - apparently due to an accident. When we called the hotel, they had a new driver to pick us up within 15 minutes. Upon our arrival at the hotel, our room was ready - and that at around 8 in the morning on a Sunday. We deeply appreciated being able to check in and shower. The room was quite lovely. On the second floor overlooking a beautiful fountain and tropical garden. THe large king size bed was remarkably comfortable and the room was very well appointed and spacious. Huge bathroom and shower. The room also had a large balcony with a queen size bed, a table and chairs as well as 2 loungers. We used all of this during our three day stay. We also enjoyed the INCREDIBLE food here. Breakfasts were delicious - but the dinners were out of this world. Wonderful Thai cuisine overlooking the river and the some of the beautiful temples here in Bangkok. The remarkably courteous staff took great care of us. Whether it was arranging fantastic tours of the temples and palaces or going to the floating market. All was done with remarkable ease and courtesy. I would highly recommend this wonderful property. It truly is an oasis in the heart of the city. It was a great opening to our 2 week Thailand experience."

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Amazing food and service"

The chef was amazing, very personable and greeted all his guests. The food was amazing and we tried both menus. I have to follow a gluten free diet and the chef made sure that some elements were changed for me. However, saying that there was very little on the menu I couldn't eat. Very fresh tasting food and good value. The service was amazing and we had a very relaxed meal. Will definitely be visiting again,

Villa Song Saigon: "Luxury and serenity with wonderful service"

I can't say enough good things about this small luxury hotel. I wanted a short break at a boutique hotel and Villa Song Saigon surpassed my expectations. From the moment I arrived where I was upgraded to the Imperial Suite (with two private terraces, one overlooking the Saigon River and the other, a beautiful pool) to the spa (fabulous hot stone massage by Duyen) to the amazing and friendly service from every member of the hotel staff I encountered to the superb breakfasts on the banks of the Saigon River, afternoon cheese platters and great dinners, I spent four idyllic days here. The hotel is in District 2 so a little way out of the crazy bustle of Ho Chi Minh City centre but very easy to get to either by a frequently running shuttle bus from the hotel or taxi. But once you get to the hotel it is quite hard to tear yourself away. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have music in the spa if guests want it. I highly recommend Villa Song Saigon and if I come back to Ho Chi Minh City I will definitely stay here again.

Tandjung Sari: "A grand old lady!"

Whether you love Tandjung Sari as much as I did, or not, will depend on your perception of what constitutes a 'good' hotel. If you are looking for the height of modern luxury and state-of-the-art technology, this hotel is probably not for you! It is, however, the perfect choice for anybody wanting accommodation which oozes old-world style and class and which is full of charm and grace (...) I could not speak more highly of the staff, all of whom were gracious and graceful in their approach to guests -- they made me feel like an honoured guest rather than a mere paying customer. This was a brilliant experience -- just writing about it fills me with a warm glow -- and I very much hope that I will be able again to sample the delights of this grand old lady, Tandjung Sari. If you are thinking about it, do it!!

Sanak Retreat Bali: "simple luxuries"

It may be unpretensious, ethical, and eco-friendly - but don't presume for a moment that Sanak Retreat isn't as beautifully designed and sumptuous as a high end hotel. Forged by the friendship between a local Balinese and a French businessman, the beauty of Sanak Retreat is the loving thought that has gone into every detail. It's the simple things after all that mean so much - the sweet sounds of the rice fields as dusk falls, the sensuous vivid green that surrounds you when the sun rises, the joyful bubbling of the river that runs through the property, the cool mountain air (and no mossies). The beautifully crafted timber villas are decorated with Indonesian textiles and wooden furnishings assembled by an astute collector, giving each room a sense of personal intimacy, and wifi and digital facilities are cutting edge. Local coffee and teas are generously provided. Every standing point has a view over the undulating highly oxygenated valley clear of both modern buildings and any hint of traffic noise. The retreat is deeply immersed in the local community, running a successful plastic recycling project with village children. And the restaurant offers a world class menu, including an extraordinary lemongrass creme brulee and a fine wine list. They will even bake you gluten free bread and pizza with a little warning, but local seafood is also fresh and delicious. There is a gentle, connected sense of calm and beauty here that you will be hard pressed to experience anywhere else in Bali. The spa facilities and private dining gazebo were created by die-hard romantics. And yet nothing is tizzy or florid. Good taste after all, is worth its weight in gold - or rice. And with several pools and lots of local treks, this is also a great place to holiday with children.

Jing’s Residence: "Really fine small hotel located in the Ancient walled City of Pingyao"

My wife and I stayed in this marvelous hotel within the Ancient walled City of Pingyao. The staff were exceedingly gracious in service and even helped translate for us with some local teenage girls who wanted to have their picture taken with Westerners. The room was very nice and we had fresh honey soaked dates when returning from our day's exploring. Breakfast (included in our tour) was expansive and was off a menu and not a buffet - the food both Chinese & European was excellent. We ate dinner one evening and the food and service were outstanding. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Reverie Siam: "Paradise personified"

"Only stayed one night as we took a last minute motorbike trip down from Chiang Mai, but it was well worth the journey! Was in Pai in 2014 and visited the bar/restaurant before the hotel had officially opened and was curious to see how it all turned out. Let's just say it lived up to the expectation. Such a special place and amazing staff to top it all off. Regret only staying for a night but so glad I had the chance to visit again and celebrate our engagement here. Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"

MesaStila: "Best Start to 2017 and Beautiful Resort"

"I stayed at MesaStila for 2 nights with my friend. We took the Borobodur package that the Resort offer and beautiful Villa over looking the volcano. It is very authentic atmosphere, beautiful and retreat place. what make the place is more special and made a huge different is their employee. My friend would like to have ""Bakso"" which is traditional Indonesian beef/chicken ball noodles and it is not in the restaurant menu. Ana the waitress at Restaurant have gone out of her way instead of saying sorry we do not have Bakso but have said to us that let me check with the Chef and see what I can do for you. Been a Malaysian who understand half of their language I can understand very clearly when Ana mentioned to the Chef over the phone and politely mentioned"" please chef try to do something to make our guest happy"". To me that is 5 star service!! Afdi our Driver during our stay, very professional from the day he pick us up from Yogja,took us to Borubodur and drop us at the airport, he been very kind, helpful and very informative by explaining to us on surroundings while driving us around. Reception who check us in ( I forgot her name - lady with short Hair) - she is very good and has given us proper Resort Tour and Room Orientation. Lily - the lady who took us for coffee plantation, she is very knowledgeable about the surroundings and the history of the resort. The therapist - I had 2 treatment at their Hamman Spa and I can only say excellent! Everyone should try the ""jamu"" drinks and met the lovely Ibu who prepare the Jamu. For Improvement: Accommodation - Everything is antique in the room, I think the lighting need to have some improvement as it is too dark and combination of lighting with yellow and florescent does not goes well. other than that all is great. Landscaper - my suggestion when we have guest occupying the villa perhaps the trimming or cutting trees will be done when the guest not in the villa as this will disturb the privacy of the guest when they are at balcony. Pillow - The Resort should set up 4 pillow for the bed instead of 2 very soft one on the bed and the remaining is in the closet. Sometimes the hotel guest will not recognize that the second pillow is in the closet. Most of 4 & 5 star hotel now set up 4 pillow on the bed instead of 2. MesaStila Resort and Spa: "Perfect romantic/family getaway"

"My wife and I stayed in MesaStila for 4 nights at the end of October, the occasion being our babymoon (last holiday before the baby is born). From start to finish our experience was wonderful and relaxing. Firstly the level of service from all staff at the resort (drivers, waiters, reception, spa) was exemplary. My wife had a couple of (minor) health issues during our stay, the staff were accommodating and helpful and coordinated (i.e. our driver had been told in advance to help us pick up medication after our visit to Borobodur). The location may be the primary draw for most first time visitors and they will not be disappointed. The old colonial resort is charming, set amidst a coffee plantation and ringed by volcanoes. The greenery gives way to new shades of green, wave after wave of lush vegetation. I found it simply stunning. Activities are many and will suit all sorts. I did some very tough road biking in the area, hitting a couple of almost 20% gradients, fortunately giving way to breathtaking views and awesome descents. My wife relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the spa. We both were amazed by the temple of Borobodur and were fortunate to witness a stunning sunrise. The restaurant is also very good, serving a wide variety of Indonesian and European cuisine and was enough to keep us well satisfied throughout our stay. We very much enjoyed our stay and have thoroughly recommended the resort to many friends. We are already looking forward to coming back (again and again!)."
