tugu bali: "My Tugu Hotel Experience was nothing short of amazing"
"I am very late writing this review, but i have stayed at the Tugu Hotel in Bali a few times now. and it is nothing short of paradise. The hotel itself is made up of a number of villas scattered in a tropical garden and each one i have stayed in was very comfortable and extremely well facilitated, the main lobby, restaurant and each room is full of beautiful and traditional antiques from around Indonesia. The location is great, its in Canggu away from the Kuta and Seminyak areas, located next to Batu Bolong Beach, with Old Mans Bar opposite, for me it is the perfect location and setting. Dining at the Tugu is also an experience in itself, the menu is extensive, from traditional Balinese, Indonesian and Asian dishes to a full Western menu. everything (including Breakfast) was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The staff have always been nothing but friendly, happy to greet you and nothing is too much to ask. I really do not have one negative comment about this wonderful boutique hotel. Great place, i will continue to stay and dine there each time i head to Bali. Thank you Tugu Hotel for making my stays perfect :) "Villa Mathis: "Awesome Wedding Venue"
We went for a wedding and family and friends had booked the entire Villa for the time we were there. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms, lounging areas and pool areas were fantastic. My only concern was to do with the tile areas around the pool as they got extremely slippery when wet and as there are no fences around the pool areas probably not really suitable for younger children who cant swim, having said that my grandchildren who are nearly 10 and 5 had a wonderful time. I would have no hesitation recommending this beautiful Villa.Mie Cafe: "Small Restaurant Big Flavours"
"The first impression here is great with a modern restaurant in a ramshackle street. The menu is a great fusion of traditional Khmer and modern cuisine. The flavour of the food was as good as anywhere in Siem Reap and very reasonably priced. Our pork ribs fell off the bone and our chicken curry was delicate and delicious. The service was a little slow but I suspect there were quite a few trainees this night. Well worth the visit."Maduzi Hotel: "Wow wow wow"
This is my 1st reaction after entered their deluxe room. The room is very big with extremely huge bed (240cm) length, walk in wardrobe, Jacuzzi that can fit in 3 ppl (my 4 yo kid, wife and me). Conveniently located. Breakfast is unique. Must stay! The Cabochon Hotel: "This is a true boutique accommodation – wish we hadn’t left"
"We easily found the Cabochon (using transit on our first morning in Bangkok). We were greeted by the staff who took care of our luggage, got us inside for an instant check-in and took us to the little library for a refreshing coconut water drink. We were able to enter our room early with no charge because it was clean and ready. When we travel we prefer to stay in unusual accomodations. We chose well selecting the Cabochon Hotel for our first trip to Bangkok. The Cabochon is like an old mansion from before the war. You enter a quiet world of reduced light, and cool marble floors and steps. Vintage wood furniture and objets everywhere. Lovely people working hard to make you feel comfortable during your stay with them. This hotel is a labor of love. We enjoyed having our breakfast outside on the front veranda under the trees. There is a breakfast area as well as a little restaurant. You can stop by the bar for a drink or a latte. Our room was a nice size - not huge because we're in another era here but not cramped like Japan - with dark wood floors, old style windows, vintage style white tiled bathroom and crisp well made beds. You could see the care the housekeeper had put into making the room nice. We were only steps off busy Sukhumvit Road but couldn't hear it or smell the exhaust. The rooms aren't smoked in so you're spared that too. While we enjoyed being out and about we also needed a refuge to replenish ourselves. I hope this review helps someone find their way to the Cabochon. If you prefer a big sterile room and a hotel with a noisy bar/karaoke/disco scene don't come here. If you want the experience of being a traveler from another time yet with modern comfort you'll love it. This is the place to be. Room Tip: There are no ice machines or noisy people in the halls here. It wasn't too hot when we stayed s... "Beautifully located on a ridge overlooking the valley in front and the mountains above, Tiger Mountain is a perfect retreat for a few days rest. Independent cottages with beautiful sit outs amidst the forest, bird calls and mountain views makes this property special. The eco friendly resort with its own organic vegetable garden and freshly made jams and breads is an experience to be treasured. "The Village House: "Garden of eden"
If you wanna enjoy the garden of eden in real life this is the place to visit. Excellent rooms, high quality interiour, excellent food presented to perfection. Nice pool surrended by a beatifull garden, and a lot of swings two make your stay perfect. It is hard to leave this hotel but if you go left you cross a rainforrest and end up at a deserted beach.David’s Kitchen: "Must try in Chiang Mai"
Davids Kitchen is located 15 mins drive from the old town, but it definitely worth a visit if you are in Chiang Mai and for special occasion. You would be amazed by the garden when you first arrive. The food is fantastic and staffs would give you great recommendation if you are not sure what to order. David was also in the restaurant and making sure every guest is enjoying the dinner. We also got a little sweet surprise at the end of the dinner. Would definitely come again.
