David’s Kitchen: "Great dining experience at David’s Kitchen"
"My husband and I read the reviews on TripAdvisor and made a reservation at Davids. What a great experience. We met David upon entering the restaurant and welcomed us to his restaurant. He was genuinely engaged in conversation and we knew we would be in for a treat that evening. The food was wonderful, started with the salmon salad and spicy fish salad and both had fish dishes. The restaurant had a great ambiance with an upscale but not stuffy feel. What was really impressive besides having a dinner that was more than just good food, but a great experience was that David sent a follow up email the next day thanking us for dining at his restaurant and wishing us well on our next location on our trip. When does the owner ever send a follow up email?! Bravo, David! We loved the experience and already recommend your restaurant to a friend that is visiting chiang mai soon."Manda De Laos: "Excellent Lao Food Overlooking Water Lilies"
What a treat to eat a dinner here overlooking the Lily Pond! I got the Luang Prabang pork sausage to start and then the duck with tamarind sauce, both of which are excellent. They had a wide variety of wines and cocktails as well to complement your meal. Definitely worth a stop if you are a foodie in Luang Prabang!Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Beautiful resort – well suited for relaxation"
"During our 1800km TukTuk challenge from Mumbai to Kanyakumari, we had a two night stay at the resort. On arrival at the hotel after a tiring rickshaw drive, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water as welcome drink. We were fortunate to have a rest day at the tranquil resort - far from the madding crowd. The accommodation/bungalows were clean and well furnished. The food was good and staff very friendly, courtious and eager to help. It has a clem beach and swimming in the sea was very enjoyable. It's the place to go to for a quiet, restful and relaxing holiday. We also had a 'thank you' card from the manager before we departed - you don't see this often. We would love to go there again for a longer stay. Stayed November 2016, traveled with friends"Chakrabongse Villas: "A palace"
It's not often you get to stay in a real palace. And the Traditional Thai teak sala hotel rooms on its palace grounds are unique and remarkable. Our room fronted the Chao Praya river, and candidly, our private lanai/patio was double the size of most hotel rooms these days. Not cheap, but an experience. And perfect for that very very special celebration Best of all, Tatien district, which is behind the royal palace and Wat Po, is experiencing a revival with new eateries, things to do and trendy hotels. We loved the Museum Siam directly across from Chakrabongse Villas, and the River Books bookstore o hotel premises. Don't miss nearby Err restaurant, traditional Thai from the folks that gave us bo.lan.Nimmu House: "Lovely place, full of charm!"
"We had the chance to stay one night in this wonderful house. It's the perfect place to get used to the altitude on the first days of your stay in the Himalaya or even for resting after a trek. You will definitely appreciate the beauty of the place, the landscapes and the perfect service of the very nice staff. Everything is done to ensure you have the best stay. The food cooked with fresh product from the village is DELICIOUS, especially their homemade apricot jam jar ! The rooms are very charming as well as the tents. The wooden structure makes you feel closer to the nature. The house is full of history and you have to ask the team to tell you. You will learn a lot about the way of living of Ladakhi people. I would recommend to anyone to stop at least for one night in this SURPRISING, RELAXING and AMAZING Nimmu House."Villa Song: "New Years Eve Dinner"
"We had Dinner at Villa Song on New Years Eve. The Building is beautiful and when you arrive and walk down the way to the entrance, it looks very enchanting. Everything was lit up with light chains. The table setting was nice and the waiters were very attentive. The special menu for this evening sounded promising and did not disappoint. If I had to say which dish I liked the most I couldn‘t because every single course was delicious and beautifully arranged. The dinner was accompanied by live music and later by traditional vietnamese music. We didn‘t stay overnight this time but it’s definitely on our list."Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Fine dining at very good value for money"
So pleased I reserved this restaurant 90 days before we got there! It is so much in demand and I am not surprised. We chose the 6-course dinner accompanied by their recommended wine and with each course you look forward to the next one. Art on a plate and simply delicious. Just $31 for the 6-courses! Unheard of!!! Chef came round each table for our comments which we really did appreciate especially when the restaurant is so busy. The hostess was also very helpful and pleasant.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Paradise!"
We stayed 4 days in those amazing ecolodges. You are in the middle of the jungle and the hotel is sustainable, eco friendly + has the best staff ever. You are taking part of a big project that is trying to preserve and maintain the local ecosystem. Anna (the owner), you are the perfect host and what you are doing is remarkable. Please try your best to keep this place away from mass tourism. The food, massage and the facilities are 5 stars. Thank you all for the best stay of our trip in Cambodia.Bali Jiwa Villa: "Pure Relaxation & Satisfaction"
I stayed in Bali Jiwa Villa in May 2015. I know already some places in Bali but this villa is extraordinary. You stay in a place inside the nature, surrounded from lush rice paddies with the panoramic view of Mount Batukaru and stunning sunset. The service of the lovely staff in this villa fulfilled every wish I had. I was served a delicious breakfast and dinner. Also lunch you can get there. Each villa has a private pool, bordering the rice fields...a fantastic atmosphere! I will definitively come back to this place :-D.Sanak Retreat Bali: "A gem in the middle of the rice fields"
We got to the Sanak Retreat after leaving the busy streets of Seminyak, arriving by foot through the rice fields in the late afternoon, because of a broken down truck on the ‘main’ road... What a feeling and what a view!... we absolutely loved the place - the restaurant is good (but not cheap), staff is helpful and welcoming, swimming pool is great. And do go for a walk in the fields around the place at sunset or sunrise. The most memorable place we stayed in during our 3 weeks’ trip in Bali and would strongly recommend.
