Sea Dance Resort: "Our Happy Place in Thailand!"
"Thank you again Poy and your incredible team for welcoming us back with open arms and making us feel like family! A New Years Eve to remember! We where one of your first visitors 3 odd years ago and had no doubt in choosing to stay at Sea Dance again this visit even though there where a 1000 other places to perhaps try! We are still in Thailand, and at our third stop after Sea Dance! Although the venues we have chosen are visually beautiful, none have made us feel as welcome and special as you all did, at Sea Dance! It is really home away from home! We are so proud to see your beautiful resort mature and blossom and get all the awards you are truly due! Our only regret was that we only booked 7 days it went by too quickly! Can't wait to visit again! Hugs to you all! Lisa and Vaughan."Villa Song: "We would come back"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Song. This is a smaller, boutique type hotel, which was exactly what we wanted. It just felt so much more intimate and personal and yet still had all the amenities you could want. Wonderful well appointed rooms . I’ll admit that we were lucky enough to have a suite, which was simply stunning (thank you Villa Song). But the children’s room was still quite lovely and we would have been happy with that (although we declined to swap with them). We loved the setting - dining down by the river was lovely and you are a short walk / taxi from other great places to eat in the area. Breakfast is a la carte rather than buffet, but there is more than enough choice. We were here towards the end of our trip and frankly we were over wandering around at breakfast buffets. Nice pool and gym. For us, this was exactly what we wanted and a nice change from the larger chains and resorts "David’s Kitchen: "Fantastic dining at David’s"
"I had the pleasure of visiting David's Kitchen on a solo trip this past week. The food was lovely, the service was very attentive and as many reviewers noted David himself is a real pleasure - much appreciated his warm and engaging welcome particularly as I had no one but my bag as a dinner companion! I cannot rave enough about the spicy fish salad with green apple. Spicy with the right amount of acidity, I seriously considered ordering another serving to go. Would love to return soon to try out more the items on the menu. "Rachamankha: "Superb hotel"
Built in the style of an colonial residence, beautifully laid out, lovely rooms, super-helpful service - loved it. Lovely pool to hang out by. Restaurant was superb (and not too expensive). Would stay here again!Maison Polanka: "An oasis of calm in Siem Reap’s Disneyland"
"We stayed at Maison Polanka for the final four nights of a three-week tour to Vietnam and Cambodia. From the moment we arrived, the staff were charming and welcoming, and they could not have done anything more to make us at home during our all-too-brief stay. Any time we ventured out, there was invariably a warm smile and a cool, refreshing serviette awaiting our return. It felt not as though we were going back to the hotel, but rather, as though we were going back home. We were allocated the lovely Yellow Room, which was equipped with all we needed and very comfortable. Siem Reap has over 1,000 hotels, many of them seemingly large and impersonal, all lined up alongside each other and vying for business. Maison Polanka, situated in a quiet back street not far from the centre of town, has just five guest rooms, a beautiful open-air dining terrace, a beautiful swimming pool, and several bicycles, should one feel the urge to go out and explore. . We felt incredibly blessed to have landed up at this jewel. Staff addressed us by our first names, and absolutely nothing was too much trouble, including an impromptu staff choir and cake to celebrate my birthday! The food on the terrace was beautifully prepared, breakfast was a real treat, and when we went out early, a packed breakfast was beautifully prepared. We had enjoyed several lovely hotels in Vietnam, but this was an entirely different experience, and ended up being the icing on the cake! It was a personal service par excellence, where one always felt among friends. To really enjoy your stay in Cambodia, you can do no better than to head for Maison Polanka."Sanak Retreat Bali: "Un havre de paix au milieu des rizières"
Villa Song Saigon: "Excellent"
We stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. Staying at Villa Song Saigon is a treat. The tasteful food, the very friendly staff, the spacious and clean room, the relaxed atmosphere and the spa all helped to make our stay very pleasant. A speedboat brings you to district 1, free of charge and tour operators will come pick you up with their boats in the morning so not to have you get stuck in traffic. It's a wonderful way of travelling, i must admit.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Well looked after"
Stayed in April. Our lodge was comfortable, food excellent and the staff and owner very friendly. We were well looked after. Highlights included the resident birdlife and the possibility of seeing the leopard who roams the area. Best of all, was the sunrise casting a pink glow over Fishtail mountain and the others in the Annapurna range. This only happened one of the mornings we were there, nevertheless it was awesome.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Enchanting and Nostalgic Tea Estate with Majestic Views"
I had been trying to come to Glenburn for over 10 years and was afraid it would disappoint. It exceeded our expectations! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the entire estate has an old-world feel to it. It is situated in a majestic valley with views of Kanchenjunga. We took lovely walks each day. I especially appreciated the customer service and attention to detail. We had tea upon demand and amazing food. The prices might seem high, but considering that everything is included (food, excursions, transportation to/from the Bagdogra airport, etc.) the prices seem fair. I really loved the tea tour and thank Parveen (and Ranjan) for sharing their knowledge and making our stay so special. I also enjoyed meeting the other guests and having meals together -- it was a unique experience and we got to know many people on top of their game in different fields. We stayed four nights, which was ideal. I would love to return and highly recommend Glenburn Tea Estate for anyone looking for a picturesque getaway!Tugu Bali: "What a mind blowing entrance"
Pool, cocktails and beach...we were staying 5 mins away at a private villa so can't comment on the accomodation but what an awesome place for a day or evening time out...amazing!!! Their cocktails were insanely great, beautiful beach, 2 pools to choose from and very friendly fun staff on hand!!! Love this hotel space. We came back 2 days in a row, first during the day then the next evening for beach cocktails!! Both very different and awesome experiences!! Highly recommend!! We'll be back!!
