Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Relaxed beach island getaway"

Review by: shelljess | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were looking for a relaxing place in Thailand where our kids could explore in nature and we could all spend time unwinding. We had to attend an event in phuket and in contrast to our normal holidays there wouldn't be much in the way of wildlife so we were looking for an alternative place to include in the trip. Golden buddha resort was a wonderful choice. Our boys had plenty of safe beaches to run and explore with loads of ghost crabs, little land crabs, mudskippers at low tide and the occasional monkey troupe. The houses were traditional style and the fans and nets made it comfortable to just kick back in the hotter part of the day. We loved our resident lizards and frogs and hornbills. The beach pizza and yummy smoothies were a favourite with the kids. The menu was small but we enjoyed the meals, which were fresh and well constructed. I'm used to a family of males that constantly eat so had packed snacks (lock up from monkeys lol) and given there's no shops it's a good idea if you have hungry kids. Beach bbq is great and lots of fun to chat with other guests and staff. If your looking for an eco, nature play destination with family it's a beautiful spot. Great staff, beautiful beaches without a multistorey development or beach vendor in sight :-). The resort give you heaps of info and were wonderful about questions so read the fine print as they are very clear about what style of resort the Golden Buddha is. We loved it"

Jing’s Residence: "Wonderful stay in Pingyao"

Review by: KarenYfromDenver2016 | Source: Trip Advisor
In keeping with the character of Pingyao, Jing's Residence takes you a step back in time. Beginning with the graciousness of the front desk, the excellence of the dining room and the total comfort of the rooms, guests are treated assortment of teas, dried dates, turn down treats and farewell gifts. I wanted my stay to last forever. This is the place to stay while in Pingyao.

Tugu Bali: "Beautiful property"

Review by: Tripledan81 | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I stayed in four different Bali hotels, and this was our favorite. It all starts with the staff. They are all so helpful and go out of their way to get you anything you need. The rooms were large, clean, provided any toiletries you may need. Fruit basket and water bottles were refilled daily. Good strong wi-fi in the rooms and all over the large property. Room was air conditioned, which was important to us. Also, it was convenient that there were no major issues with bugs or mosquitoes. It seems like the hospital sprays weekly to keep them away. The pool area is very serene. They also have some lounge chairs on an elevated area overlooking the beach. Even though the hotel is right next to the beach, it does not provide any chairs right on the sand of the beach. It has a very tight path from the lounge chairs to the beach, but that path could definitely be upgraded. Location is fantastic as it is within walking distance of numerous restaurants, cafes, shopping, and beach side bars."

David’s Kitchen: "Excellent Last Night Out"

Review by: MrsGambino | Source: Trip Advisor
We ate here on our final night in Chiang Mai and what a delicious, memorable experience we had! From the moment you step out of the car you are warmly greeted and treated with first class service. Our waiter, Ton, was very friendly, attentive and really made our night memorable. Even David greeted us at the door, and checked up on us several times during the evening. As for the food, it was delicious. We were looking forward to a break from the standard Thai dishes, and there was a vast Italian/French menu to chose from. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin, and I opted for the pork chop with cherry glaze, and both were excellent, and well cooked. The red wine we chose was outstanding and very reasonably priced. David stated he pays special attention to his wine selections to give his customers great wines, and this was definitely proof of that. Definitely a must go to restaurant to finish off an equally amazing visit in Chiang Mai.

Poring Hot Spring Nature Reserve: "Gorgeous Lodge"

Review by: RVESydney_Australia | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed in the River lodge. OK, so the small water tank doesn't enable you to have a deep bath, but that didn't bother us. 2 great bedrooms, 2 enormous bathrooms, 3 sitting decks, 2 separate sittings areas, good air con and cable TV. Right next to river and entrance to the nature reserve. No internet but there is some at the resort restaurant (although not fast). Better wifi at Round Inn cafe near the car park (2min walk away). Staff were very professional and friendly. Additional service offered to see Rafflesia flower if one is blooming nearby. A guide drove us less than 10 mins to see one on a local fruit farm. RM30 each is a bit steep but it's a rare opportunity and hopefully it encourages the locals to nurture these amazing flowers."

Tugu Lombok: "Wir hatten eine phantastische Zeit!"

Review by: Thomas B | Source: Trip Advisor

Talabgaon Castle: "Kind and welcoming! Delicious meals"

Review by: Diana . | Source: Trip Advisor
"We absolutely loved our stay in The Talabgaon Castle. And we are thankful for the hospitality of all of the caretakers of this beautiful property. Very reasonable prices and a fabulous room! We chose to do a jeep safari and guided tour of this Rajasthani village and found it to be full of beautiful and kind people, who are friendly and generous, invited us for masala chai. Palak Paneer here is incomparable. All of our meals were delicious and made fresh with home grown vegetables and fresh milk. This was our first time visiting India and our stay at the Talabgoan Castle was one of the highlights of our trip! We felt very welcome and were sad to be leaving. This was a great place for us to rest between the crowded streets of Jaipur and bright and noisy Agra. Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"

The Village House: "wonderful people"

Review by: Martin L | Source: Trip Advisor
"Most reviews describe the lovely setting and the tranquility of Village House but for me the people there are amazing. Ever friendly and helpful, they helped to make my trip to Sarawak the wonderful experience that it turned into! The food was amazing as well.... try the chefs Sarawak Laksa... You'll not be disappointed!! If you're looking for a base to explore the Santubong/Kuuching area, that is quiet and slightly off the beaten track but accessible to the outside world? Try Village House"

Rachamankha: "Serene Refined Hotel"

Review by: theobsessivetraveler | Source: Trip Advisor
"Ratchamankha, Chiang Mai, Thailand The photos posted by other travelers hardly do justice to this exquisite jewel box of a hotel. Our family of four was lucky enough to stay in one of the newly opened two-bedroom suites. A long, covered balcony, complete with a silk-cushioned bench, runs the length of the suite, providing a view to the serene courtyard and pool below. A spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated living room divides the two bedrooms. Breakfast is served around the corner in a separate courtyard. Heaven! In the evening, a fire is lit and on special nights a local musician plays traditional melodies. Asian antiques and art are displayed throughout the property. An army of workers tend the garden and the buildings, keeping everything in immaculate shape. Additionally, the owner employs many Burmese refugees, trains them, houses them, and pays them well. You can feel wonderful about supporting such a hotel. What a find!!!! "

INLE PRINCESS RESORT: "Outstanding – Beautiful, Atmospheric with Fantastic Service"

Review by: GautamMajumdar | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Visiting Lake Inle is a unique experience, and this experience is doubly enhanced by staying at this splendid hotel. The approach itself is breathtaking, sitting on a boat being rowed by the boatman in the quaint one legged fashion peculiar to the region, you suddenly glimpse a vision in old teak rising out of the lake. The chalets are on stilts and the chalets we had were lake facing with simply incredible views. The rooms are beautifully furnished, a vision in old teak with old Burmese lacquer artifacts strewn about. The bathrooms were again fabulous, with a cosy outside shower. It was certainly pure luxury with splendid service in the middle of this area of outstanding beauty. The food was superb, we ate at the hotel's fine dining restaurant on both the nights we were there. Sitting out on the open terrace overlooking the water and sampling topnotch Burmese cuisine is an other wordly experience. The breakfast was also excellent. All of this was topped by the outstanding and sensitive service. When leaving the hotel plied us with little gifts of local handicrafts. I can't recommend this place highly enough. "
