Villa Song Saigon: "One of the best hotel experiences"

Review by: CarilMJones | Source: tripadvisor.com
This was the most luxurious, tranquil hotel that I have probably ever stayed in!! We arrived here after 12 days cycling holiday and I just needed to be pampered for a few days and sleep and boy does this hotel provide that.. The hotel is small with very high standard setting for meals and the breakfast is all day!! Regardless of when u wake up you can have it, and it was well worth waking up for.. Loved this place and only a boat ride into town which was provided for brill brill brill....

Rahai’i Pangun: "Great crew"

"This was my first time traveling alone, and I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived for this portion. But I absolutely loved it. The crew was great, the guide Tri was fantastic, and the trip itself was so relaxing and interesting. We saw many orangutans in the forest (including a baby!), visited Dayak villages, and had delicious meals three times a day- and that's coming from someone who considers herself a picky eater. I absolutely recommend this tour group (and especially the boat and staff I had). I'd also suggest you go while you can- you could see gold prospecting in quite a few spots. In order for them to get at the gold, they need to burn the forest down. It also leaves large mounds of white sand along the river. It's very sad, but perhaps with an up-tick in tourism, there will be a greater push for putting a stop to this? I'd like to add while it was disturbing to see, it did not make the trip less enjoyable. Rather, it just makes me want to get more involved."

Maduzi Hotel: "Best small hotel in Bangkok"

Review by: Scott G | Source: Trip Advisor
"I visit Bangkok 8 - 10 times per year on business, and have stayed in most of the CBD hotels over the years. I am also in the hotel business, so I tend to be quite picky about room design, service, and F&B.. This hotel has it all: Great location 5 minute walk to both BTS and MRT, extra large well-designed room with separate entry foyer for privacy, large bathroom with big shower and jacuzzi tub, and walk in wardrobe. Original paintings and antique carpets for a decorative touch, Bose sound system for music or movies, in room espresso maker, and free mini-bar for snacks and refreshments. Common areas include a beautifully appointed living room which is the perfect spot for relaxing with a book - or meeting with VIP clients. The restaurant provides semi-private dining areas, separated by bookshelves stocked with books on design, culture, and history. Best hotel breakfast in the city - fully a la cart menu features a great selection of dishes from black truffle quiche to Japanese confit of rainbow trout to home made granola and yoghurt with goji berry sauce - served until 2:00 pm. Twenty-four hour room service menu is good quality and fairly priced. The highly efficient staff work well as a team (the sales and marketing manager served my breakfast twice) and are super friendly. Special mention to Khun Poom who seems to be everywhere at once and is a master at arranging ground transport or fulfilling other special requests. Staff English proficiency is substantially better than most hotels in Bangkok. Complimentary early check-in or late check-out upon request, a very competitive room rate, and perks for direct booking / returning guests - no other hotel in the city comes close in terms of value, ambiance, service, and location. Stayed January 2017, traveled on business"

Villa Song Saigon: "Luxury by the river"

Review by: Strollerz | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel oozes luxury at every pore, and they have thought of every detail. The room was magnificent with a comfortable bed, beautiful interior and lovely bath soaps. Service was fantastic - helpfully booking dinner for us on each night and arranging for taxis to take us there. The food was amazing - so much so that it was a struggle (that I lost on each occasion) not to overeat at breakfast. The spa and massage was luxurious, the pool looked beautiful, and the riverside setting is beautifully peaceful. In fact my only criticims is that in making the hotel so very comfortable it was difficult to drag ourselves to leave to explore Ho Chi Minh!

The Island Lodge: "Best way to ‘do the Mekong Delta’"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
"I cannot praise this hotel enough. Everything about it was high end. The staff were super friendly, very good English, excellent service, attention to detail, food excellent, rooms spacious, great pool, place is spotless, what more can I say. Owned by a French couple Michel and Françoise, they have brought together everything good about French and Vietnamese hospitality. We had originally planned to stay here as part of a separate tour but I would highly recommend transferring privately from Saigon direct to the hotel and organising private tours through the hotel as they have designated tour guides. We did a scooter tour to the next island reached by a very memorable tiny ferry and also a trip to see the floating market at Cai Be. Both our tour guides Thành and Ksai deserve a special mention as both trips were about 4 hours each but a fantastic way to see life in the countryside in the Mekong and they were both really knowledgable and passionate about showing us the best time. The food at the hotel was terrific. Fish tartare, beef carpaccio, goats cheese salad, duck with a great fusion of French and Vietnamese influence, to me a fusion made in heaven. The waitresses were just great with their service and could not do enough for us in terms of service and attention to detail. There were also little things all through the hotel that were great such as home made fruit jams at breakfast. The design is fantastic with a completely open bar restaurant and reception area with piano and a lot of historical pictures and other trinkets around which add to the atmosphere. The group of staff all felt like a big family so congratulations to the hotel for me to say it is the full package for a relaxing break."

Tugu Bali: "Tugu Hotel Bali is a luxurious slice of history"

Review by: BTS_Rider | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed in a Dedari suite while I was at the Tugu Hotel Bali. I loved having the private plunge pool and outdoor swing daybed. I also quite liked the outdoor bathtub with attached koi pond. However, the hotel decor is what's so amazing here, and it is definitely one of the main reasons for staying at this hotel. Everywhere you look there are beautiful antiques and artefacts. It's a living museum. I also took in the Thursday evening cultural dinner which includes a Balinese dance and music performance. If you are a traveller looking for a truly unique Bali experience this is the place to have it.

Locavore: "EXQUISITE"

Review by: rnevarez562 | Source: Trip Advisor
For what you pay for, you are getting a Michelin style restaurant meal. There were certain courses that did not hit it out of the park, but overall the dining experience was superb. Easily the highlight of my Bali trip.

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Excellentissime we look forward to stay there again"

Review by: Jean-Luc N | Source: Trip Advisor
This is an amazing place in the middle of tea plants, facing the Himalayan chain. 3 cottages colonial style house 8 rooms or suites. Diners can have the whole site, read and sip tea at any time (including just wake up before breakfast ...), admire the scenery, walk around the plantation, join the river in against-low (2 -3 hours on foot), try the massage with tea oil (I recommend), a drink in the library lounge with the other guests and continue to exchange over a meal each evening with a different theme. In short, a quality of life that is found rarely and makes an incredible good! Thank you to our guests for these extraordinary times and we have only one wish: to come see you as soon as possible again!

The Island Lodge: "What a fantastic find"

Review by: Eric E | Source: Trip Advisor
This place is amazing. The rooms, gardens, views, food, and above all the staff are amazing. I'm happy to have found it and sad I wasn't there loger than one night. There's not much to do, but if you're looking for Vietnamese hospitality with a touch of French luxury, go here.

Pindaya Farm House: "Warmly Welcomed"

Review by: Steve M | Source: Trip Advisor
We so much enjoyed our time at Thahara Pindaya that we considered extending our stay and cancelling our trip to Mrauk U! We loved Pindaya and this farm house stay was a big influence on the overall experience. As strange as this might sound, staying at Thahara was a memorable highlight of our second visit to Myanmar. Conversations with hosts Aye Aye and Ko Yangon provided deeper insights to the community we would have otherwise missed. All reasonable requests can be satisfied by the hosts and their extended network of family and friends. The accommodations are well appointed, and the meals are out of this world.
