Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Beautiful resort and great hospitality"

Review by: bgseah | Source: Trip Advisor
My family of 3 stayed at Rice and Zen over the Christmas. Michael is a great host. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the rice fields and the mountains in the backdrop was a great way to start the day. The dining recommendations from Michael and nearby sights were spot on!

NEELESHWAR HERMITAGE: "Chill-out excellence!"

Review by: Tinker561 | Source: tripadvisor.com
This was the last venue of a bespoke tour organised by Trailfinders and it was an excellent way to finish a memorable 10 days in Kerala. We stayed 2 days, but 5 would be infinitely preferable! There are two retaurants, one upmarket indoor with a wide menu, but we favoured the beach restaurant, for breakfast and evening meals, specialising in fish and, for our last meal, lobster - fantastic! The service could not be bettered and, even for our short stay, staff recognised and greeted us regularly. We flew from Calicut airport, via Abu Dhaby to UK but its a long drive there. There is a smaller much nearer airport at Mangalore which might be worth looking at. This is a super venue for chilling out with its infinity pool.

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "I would give even more stars if possible!!!"

Review by: Aureliebubu | Source: Trip Advisor
"******************************** My whole experience there was AMAZING!!! I went there for lunch and found out on the spot that they had a special business menu, changing every day according to the chef's inspiration (and very reasonably priced). The menu is 2 or 3 courses, with a couple of options for starters and mains. The fine dinning starts with amuse-bouche and I also got some ""miniardiases"" to conclude on a lovely sweet note! The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely thanks to Lucia's care and sense of harmony. Felix, the Michelin's star chef who is running the kitchen, was not there the day I visited but he has trained his chefs very well as all the dishes were perfectly executed. The produces are fresh, locally and organically grown when possible. The staff is very attentive. More than a delicious restaurant, it is a social enterprise with the couple incorporating local skills and goods, not only the content of the plates but also in all the elements of the decor. The result is a beautiful blend which deserve many stars! I cannot express the enjoyment I had, it has to be experienced... so your turn is up, it worth the trip!!! *********************************"

Blackitch Artisan Kitchen: "An incredible, unique experience. Must do for Foodies."

Review by: F_F27_03 | Source: Trip Advisor
The calibre of food served here was exceptional. I couldn't find much information online at all after reading about it in the Guardian earlier this year before we went so we took a gamble, and I'm so glad we did. Chef Black served us 9 courses, all surprises and chosen by him, throughout the evening, coming out and explaining in detail each one and why he paired ingredients together. Distinctive fine dining food with an asian influence - lots of fish! We paid 1200 Baht for a bottle of wine (which was absolutely delicious) and 1600 Baht each for the food. If you're some who loves fine food and the complexities of pairing, go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed.

Maison Polanka: "Best hotel of our trip!"

Review by: TheBarrettsAbroad | Source: Trip Advisor
"Maison Polanka is an incredible place. On our first evening there, we had a glass of bubbles as we watched the sky slowly turn to dusk and listened to the birds, the cicadas and the nearby monks singing -- total perfection. It was such a treat to be taken care of so well and in such a stunningly beautiful environment. We stayed for five nights in the Khmer house, which was great. Plenty of space, nice amenities, and kept nice and cool by the fans and AC. The staff worked with my husband to plan a fantastic birthday dinner for me, setting up a romantic private dining experience surrounded by candles and even ordering in a special birthday cake. We would recommend Maison Polanka to any traveler who is looking to experience Cambodia in serenity and luxury and in the care of a wonderful staff. Our biggest thanks to Cathy, Julie, Cune, Tuy La, Kong, Da, Som, Osa, Chan, Rithy, Seam, Sam, Sopharin, Thy, Sarin, Sopha, and the rest of the amazing team behind the scenes that make it such a special place."

Les Maisons d’Itac: "little peaceful paradise found"

Review by: Kalinaw-resort | Source: Trip Advisor
We really enjoyed the experience. Far enough from noisy Moalboal. We stayed in a private house which was huge! On the hill with our own swimming pool. The place is quite with a big garden around full of bougainvillaea and facing the sea. The Resort is very intimate with only 5 accommodations. It keep this place quiet and charming, perfect to relax, even with kids. The staff who without exception provided us with wonderful service. They are all welcoming, warm and helpful. We will definitely come back soon. Thanks again to Bryan the manager and Marivic the chef :)

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Elegant hotel on the Saigon River"

Review by: Mellona | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We started our vacation in Vietnam in this elegant hotel. It looks and feels like British colonial times. We ate our breakfasts on the banks of the Saigon river and had delicious food there. Our room was on the third floor and there are no elevators. We never carried our suitcases - the service was wonderful. We were looking for a place to eat and the staff told us where locally they went to eat and we had a delicious lunch there. We took their water taxi into the city and it was a treat to ride on the river in that way. The pool there is lovely and staff are around to take care of your every need. We couldn't have had a better start to a fabulous two weeks in Vietnam. "

Slow Villas and Spa: "Perfect place, private pool and people"

Review by: deathwobbles | Source: Trip Advisor
My partner and I stayed for a night at Slow Villa before we left Gili Air, it was an amazing way to spend one of our last nights on the island. The owner Julie and her staff have thought of everything to help you have an unforgettable experience, and they are always there to help, give advice on island activities, or to just have a chat. The feel and vibe makes for total comfort and relaxation, especially the beautiful massages given by their skilled masseuses. The food served is the best we have had on the islands, but they can also guide you to the other secret island warungs and restaurants. We will definitely recommend Slow Villas to anyone wanting a truely magical place to stay on Gili Air.
