Chakrabongse Villas: "In One word"
We had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights in the Garden Suite. You enter the property through a locked gate & what a wonderful sight to behold. Beautiful gardens, the tranquility of the place is unbelievable considering you are in the heart of manic Bangkok. Staff are amazing, they somehow know what you want before you do. Our room was quite spacious, clean, perfect really. Breakfast is served overlooking the river. On arrival you fill in the breakfast menu & it is served at what time you prefer. It was a pleasure swimming in the pool with nobody else around, great pool area, again overlooking the river. Unfortunately we didn't eat in the restaurant at night, one point to remember you have to let staff know in the morning so Chef can cater for who is eating that night. A magical place at night time with all the lighting throughout the gorgeous gardens. Would not hesitate in recommending here when visiting Bangkok, keep doing what your doing because you are ahead of the pack. "Stayed in La Villa Mathis for three days and enjoyed every bit of it. Me and my travel companion tremendously enjoyed the quiet ambience of the villa and the villa manager Christian was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The villas have several swimming pools secluded from one to another and we felt like it is reserved specially for us! What a treat! The villa is located quite near with Seminyak strip and the villa staffs will assist you in arranging the transportation. The room was designed in a very thoughtful details and we felt like we can really switch off and rejuvenate in this place. Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris has exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The camping facility is modern and outstanding. The food, wine, and service are absolutely world class. Just imaging you dining under twinkling stars by the table lit with candle lights surrounded with invisible wild creatures and accompanied by old and new friends! Noel and staff at the camp are very knowledgeable and experienced with Safaris. We never disappointed with each trip we took, leopards, elephants, sloth bear, etc we saw them all. We not only saw animals in the wild, we've also learned a lots about the animals and birds, which make us really appreciate the nature. We highly recommend Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris. Our hotel arranged the booking and they put us in the most romantic solo table in the middle of the pond with a lit umbrella above. We had the tasting platter for 2. Food was absolutely amazing, especially the stir fried buffalo and the fish salad. The chicken stew was the real deal as it had pieces sakarn wood in it which sneaks up on you like szechaun peppercorns. Everything came beautifully presented, unfortunately it was too dark to take a decent pix with my ipad. Can't think of a more romantic place in LPQ to spend VD. The resto manager attended to us himself the whole time.Slow Villas and Spa: "Everything is perfect here"
On a fairly rustic island, Slow Gili is a modern paradise. Julie the manager was incredibly helpful with talking us through the island and what to see. The rooms are modern, clean and plush. I just wish we had stayed here for longer. Their spa is also fantastic! Highly recommend!Maison Polanka: "An Oasis in Siem Reap"
Maison Polanka is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. It is in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap but provides the most idyllic surroundings to escape to, after a full day in nearby Angkor Wat which is no more than 20 mins away. The staff are polite and efficient and have the ability to be on hand when needed, but always in the background. The food is first class and the beautiful outdoor dining area is surrounded by lush gardens and a pool and sun area. The rooms are well equipped, quiet , with good showers, and have good WiFi. As there are only 5 in total Maison Polanka has an intimate and warm feeling at all levels. The rooms each have their own large, private balcony with lounging furniture and ceiling fans that overlook the grounds. Don't be put off by the approach but be excited about what lies behind the gates. Look out for the friendly pet bunny that lives in the gardens.Tugu Lombok: "Amazing relaxing resort"
"We stayed here for five nights and I would gladly have stayed longer. The resort itself is well spaced out and feels very private even when almost full to capacity. The rooms are excellent and well tended to by room service. All the staff are friendly and helpful especially the manager of the restaurant and Elly (I hope I have that right) who I think was a general manager. They were all very helpful and went out of their way to make sure that we were happy with everything. The food was always great and well presented. I would recommend dining on the beach at least once as it was lovely. The house reef was we'll worth a snorkel and the pool was lovely and quiet. This was a perfect start to our holiday and the perfect place to recover from hectic lives and jet lag! My only minor gripe would be that sometimes the music at the restaurant could be a little too energetic, especially in the mornings. Only once or twice from the five days. Overall this hotel was just what we wanted and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a quite place to escape for a few days!"MATHIS RETREAT: "Best place in Ubud"
"My wife and I stayed at the Kenanga for our honeymoon in Ubud. The place has a unique charm, and is very relaxing. The rice fields in front of the infinity pool and the restaurant are breath taking. The staff is so friendly and always smiling. They made sure that we were satisfied From the moment we arrived until we left. We would highly recommend this place to anyone going to Ubud. "We stayed 4 nights in April with a 2 years old, it was our second stay and we enjoyed it again very much. Scenery and landscape of the hotel are just fantastic, the personalized service very enjoyable. Karine the Manager had great tour suggestions and recommended a very nice and competent guy. A special mention for the restaurant of the hotel (Terra cotta), where all the food there was very good every time (try the desserts!) and the service top level.
