SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Amazing food"

Review by: Tam G | Source: Trip Advisor
Have been here twice - once for lunch and once for a special dinner. Both times were amazing - the setting is beautiful, service amazing and the food (the real treasure of the place). High quality and tasty - food that I could get in Europe (which is hard to find in Myanmar). The set menu was pricey but worth it - truffle ravioli and lamb come highly recommended. The chocolate fondant is amazing too!

Mrauk U Princess Resort: "un endroit magnifique"

Review by: Pascal S | Source: Trip Advisor
"Nous sommes arrivés par bateau dans cet hôtel. Les bungalows sont éparpillés dans un environnement luxuriant. Chambre très agréable, décoration chaude. Joli restaurant de très bonne qualité à prix doux. Personnels très gentils et serviables. Anglais très approximatif ! Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"

Maison Polanka: "Total satisfaction"

Review by: randd717 | Source: Trip Advisor
A calm oasis after a day visiting temples and museums. Helpful and responsive staff, always obliging and willing to go that extra mile. Food is always fresh and delightful. The gardens and the pool are are so beautiful and relaxing. The office staff are particularly efficient in suggesting and arranging tourist activities and guides

Nimmu House: "A lovely place to relax and acclimatise!"

Review by: Ana I | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We started our journey in lovely Ladakh from Nimmu House. It was a perfect start. We received a very warm welcome followed by 2 days of comfort and lot of personal attention. The apricot and apple trees were in bloom and we were allowed to pick as and when! It is a great eco friendly retreat from busy city life. Chef Mahesh cooked superb meals which were served in the courtyard in open air as weather was lovely. Sumo is a wonderful lady who is an extremely helpful and pleasant person. Overall a very satisfying stay. Would recommend definitely. Free Wifi is available but in certain areas only., We started our journey to explore Ladakh with Shanti travels. They were brilliant right from pick up from delhi airport till the drop off 10 days later. I would also like to mention guide Wanchuk and Rigzin-driver; they were superb throughout our time in Ladakh."

Samanea Beach Resort: "Incredible Get-Away"

Review by: MattFax | Source: Trip Advisor
I absolutely love this place. The setting is perfect for a quiet get away. The landscaping is immaculate and pier is such a perfect place to sit and relax. Even though the ocean is not really swimmable, the man-made beach is great. There is is a lot of care and attention put into this place and I can't wait to go back

MesaStila: "My only regret is that I was only there one night"

Review by: Takethatfan99 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"This resort is truly stunning. The villa was huge - built in the traditional style - so it's actually very simple but has a real wow factor. Massive bed with ornately carved canopy. Separate seating area, outside verandah. Lovely staff, great restaurants. It's a big resort so plenty of walking required but it's such a pleasure to walk around you don't care. There are plenty of activities on offer from yoga to coffee plantation tours to croquet or outdoor chess. Pool area is delightful with a spa and gym that we did not have time to use. If you get the chance to stay here, don't pass it up. Definitely one of the best resorts I have ever had the fortune to stay in."

Rachamankha: "Best place in the old city of Chiang Mai"

Review by: DutchWassenaar | Source: Trip Advisor
"Great location in the old town. Beautifull hotel. Charming and only 25 rooms. Nice room. Great restaurant with great food. Again the waiters do not speak english. How is this posible in a 5 star hotel? Nice pool but very bad hard chairs and no service at the pool the first day we were there. Breakfast is efficiently served A la carte. A bit strange; paper on the table during breakfast. Feels like we are in a cheap Chinese restaurant. In all the best place in the Old City."

The Village House: "Great romantic hideaway"

Review by: OliCrow | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We stumbled across this hotel by chance after being deeply disappointed and cancelling our reservation with Damai Beach Resort. As soon as we walked through the door I knew this was the place. The host came out to greet us and we enjoyed a refreshing welcome drink. It's a fantastic place for couples. Very relaxing, chilled with great food. I especially enjoyed the hammocks with a good book. We took advantage of the free cinema and games room every night which was a nice touch!"

Locavore: "Still surprised after reading all the reviews about Locavore"

Review by: Rianbkk | Source: Trip Advisor
"It doesn't happen to me very often, but in this case the atmosphere and expectations raised by the reviews of hundreds of Tripadvisor members did not reflect the genuine experience we had by dining at Locavore. This kind of intro-paragraph will mostly precede a rather negative and contrary viewpoint but in this case I must say the evening we spend here was truly mesmerising. The amuse-bouches were drenched in local flavours even though some fitted on my fingernails. Imagine with that the 'Ashes' cocktail (you will indeed put a burning stick into the concoction, thus releasing a fair bit of ashes in your drink) and culinaire paradise in coming into wide view. The mains - we went for the 7 courses menu - were a mixed bag with caffeinated fish as a weird but surprisingly good part of it. Overall it is the combination of the nouvelle-cuisine presentation on the dishes combined with the exotic, original and authentic taste of local ingredients (chili pepper flowers, anyone?) that made this a very special evening for the both of us. Do try the Balinese coffee at the end. With a total bill of around 2.700.000, including two glasses of excellent Sangiovese, we probably spent more than half the average salary of the people working there, but as this works out at 160 Euro it was money more than well spend."

The Village House: "wonderful people"

Review by: Martin L | Source: Trip Advisor
"Most reviews describe the lovely setting and the tranquility of Village House but for me the people there are amazing. Ever friendly and helpful, they helped to make my trip to Sarawak the wonderful experience that it turned into! The food was amazing as well.... try the chefs Sarawak Laksa... You'll not be disappointed!! If you're looking for a base to explore the Santubong/Kuuching area, that is quiet and slightly off the beaten track but accessible to the outside world? Try Village House"
