Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A small peace of Heaven here in Ko Samui"

Review by: Florentsen | Source: Trip Advisor
"A funny story about this resort. My partner and I were at Ko Samui for the first time 3 yrs ago and found this place – a small piece of heaven here on earth. We were actually the first ones ever to check in to Sea Dance who just had opened. This resort has since been on our favorite list. Now 3 yrs. later we were able to have another stay here and it’s still as amazing as last time. They had since last time added some more bungalows (all hidden behind hedges you can’t even see them) they also had a new reception and a Spa department. It all looks so great. As Scandinavians we love the design of concrete together with wood. We both tried the oil massage and yes, it’s more expensive than the one you get on the beach – but then again, it’s so much better. Coming here I strongly suggest that you try their food in the restaurant. I had their Fish Taco – the best one I ever had. We got to talk to the chef and they even make their tortilla bread themselves – and trust me, you can taste that. As a final request to the reader planning to go there – you have to try their Passion Fruit Mojito (no words needed) Would I go here again, NO DOOUBT. We love this resort and their staff."

Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Traveling back in time"

Review by: CarolienBAC | Source: Trip Advisor
"Very beautiful traditional Hanok guesthouse. Staying here really is an unforgettable experience. Especially at night when the place is beautifully lit, it almost seems like a fairy tail. Sleeping on the 'ondol' heated floor with Korean-style bedding may not be for everyone (I personally had some trouble sleeping on the floor), but this sure is an experience not to be missed when in Seoul. I booked the Patio room which had a separate bathroom with a wooden tub. You can choose between Korean style breakfast or continental. Of course I went for the Korean style breakfast, which was excellent. Breakfast is brought to your room so you can enjoy it in the privacy of your own room. The owner of RakKoJae is very friendly and helpful. Moreover RakKoJae is situated right in the middle of the Bukchon Hanok Village and just a small walk away from both the Gyeongbok Palace and the Changdeokgung Palace. Staying at RakKoJae is rather expensive though."

The Cabochon Hotel: "Boutique hotel in the middle of Bangkok"

Review by: BruceR58 | Source: Trip Advisor
Bangkok is filled with excellent five star international hotels. Here's something completely different. Small, boutique tucked away in a small Soi off Sukhumvit. The service levels are warm friendly with a touch of classic Thai friendliness. The hotel is only 5 years old but has been created for yesteryear. Food is lovely and the atmosphere unique.

Tugu Lombok: "Beautiful location, excellent service"

Review by: Ken_Hathaway | Source: Trip Advisor
"Spent six nights at Tugu Lombok and can thoroughly recommend it. The beach location is fantastic and the staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for us. If you want a real get-away-from-it-all holiday it would be hard to beat, you can just enjoy the views, swim and laze. But if you want more activity you can go on excursions - the snorkelling trip to the Gilis is probably essential for most, but we did decide against the trekking! The rooms are amazing, we had our own 'bungalow' with a huge double bed, veranda for sitting outside and a small private courtyard if required. But best of all was the bathroom open to the outdoors! The restaurants offer great food and plenty of variety, and we must thank the staff for their friendliness, and helpful service, they made us feel very welcome. The last night send-off was most unexpected and touching. We've stayed in some lovely places but this is hard to beat. "

Manda De Laos: "Wonderful Location and Cuisine"

Review by: Elaine C | Source: Trip Advisor
"Laotian cuisine is generally nice. I appreciate the taste and variety. But in Manda de Laos, the food taste great add it with amazing presentation. Most recommended dishes are Mok Pa (local fish dish), and Phed Makham (their signature duck dish)! Everything we ordered from starters to dessert are just great. The location is very serene overlooking lily ponds. Just lovely and relaxing."

Reverie Siam: "Wonderful and fairy tale like oases just outside PAI city center"

Review by: Tim A | Source: Trip Advisor
reverie Siam lies just ouside Pai, the distance is perfect. Quit, but close to the village. You enter a place with a relaxing atmosphere and wonderful designed rooms/villa's. There are two big (salt) swimming pools. Everything is thought of in this resort. The fruit snacks when you are at the pool, a thai telephone to loan when you are going to town and the list goes on. The WIFI connection is fast (10mb) The a la cart breakfast is very nice, a wide variety of choices. What is best, is the staff. Never We encountered staff in thailand who are so engaged with the wellbeing of the resort en their guests. We extended our stay from 3 nights to 9 nights, that says enough.

David’s Kitchen: "Simply Amazing"

Review by: Failbus | Source: Trip Advisor
"Hard to put into words how much my wife, daughters 11 and 8 and I enjoyed this meal. David is an incredibly generous host, making sure that every single dinner was hapoy and well looked after. We discovered our two daughters share the same names as David's children. I jad the braised wagyu cheek and was blown away. All of our dishes were if the highest order. Price was inline with the quality of food and service we received. Thank you David and staff for a wonderful meal."

Satri House: "Just wonderful and charming"

Review by: TripleS-Seoul | Source: Trip Advisor
"Excellent in every way! Top in quality of the rooms decorated with local and colonial furniture, the staff is helpful, the spa was really agreeable, the restaurant is top even if the staff is still lacking a bit of experience in the way of taking orders. For sure, this will be the place I will go back to next time I am in Luang Prabang."

Reverie Siam: "Don’t even think of NOT staying here"

Review by: neilljm | Source: Trip Advisor
"Over the last twenty eight years of visiting Thailand, and the last sixteen months of living here, I have stayed in a lot of hotels, from the basic to the luxurious. This however is up there with the very best on absolutely every level. It is incredible value for money. The style is like a Tuscan/ Provencal country house- all winding paths and beautiful planting, leading down to the river. Two pools nestle in the property- one a more conventional lap pool and the other designed to resemble a higgledy -piggledy river- which some rooms have direct access to. The rooms are of an incredible luxury for the price: the most comfortable beds ever, luxurious free standing baths and powerful rain showers, all topped off with local organic products. The rooms are spacious and offer outside areas [ours a mountain view offered great views from the upstairs balcony. The staff were incredible and all took a real pride in the place, were helpful and friendly and the grounds staff made sure it was absolutely spotless. Breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant were very good, with a menu of a la carte options, as opposed to a wasteful buffet, and the food we had for lunch and dinner was of an equally high standard. There was a very reasonable and varied drinks list and a daily cocktail hour, which all added up to our stay being a highly affordable [whilst feeling hugely decadent] treat. If we ever come this way again there will be absolutely no doubt in my mind where to stay. Bloomin' fabulous!"

Locavore: "Ecstatic"

Review by: Angelo1975 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Never thought I'd have to go to Ubud to get the best culinary experience in my life. This restaurant ticks all the boxes for me. Phenomenal food using local ingredients, knowledgeable and friendly staff and a great ambiance. Seemingly endless appetisers, 7 courses with a pre-desert and 3 let's call them post deserts. I was in heaven! I especially liked the squid in black dish and the Bangkok Hitam (pork shoulder). We chose a beverage pairing with each course. These beverages were cleverly crafted cocktails. In my opinion they deserve a Nobel prize for cocktails for their cocktail with bacon! I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who is willing to have their tastebuds titillated. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance!"
