David’s Kitchen: "Wonderful spot for a honeymoon dinner"

Review by: Christopher W | Source: Trip Advisor
We at at David's during our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. The wine selection was great and the food was incredible. We highly suggest the Braised Beef Cheek as well as the Pumpkin Soup if they have it. Staff was extremely attentive, almost too much as points but thats better than the opposite. Would definitely come back to David's again next time we are in town.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Good couple of nights"

Review by: David J | Source: tripadvisor.com
We spent two lovely nights there. The location is stunning and the tents are very well set up with aircon, comfy beds and a great shower. The menu is short but well prpepared and we really enjoyed our kayaking expedition. It takes quite a while to get there but definitely worth a couple of nights for something memorable and different.

Mie Cafe: "Best meal in Siam Reap"

Review by: Sam H | Source: Trip Advisor
Siv Pala is a Cambodian chef to watch out for. He trained in Switzerland and has added European technique to Khmer cooking that is fresh and innovative. We tried the highly rated, over rated, very formal Damnak lounge but it pales in comparison. We had both lunch and dinner here the same day because it was so good. We had the gourmet set menu. 5 courses for $24 US but brilliant dishes starting with a shrimp cold starter and the fresh fish soup, then two amazing entrees-a langoustine crepe and an oxtail stew. Both were subtle with rich texture and full of umami. The setting, too, is lovely. Outdoor patio, romantic, opposite of stuffy. Staff were always attentive and the chef, good-ooking per my wife, youngish man of impeccable manners greeted us after dinner. Best meal of our three day stay. Do not miss!

Glenburn Tea Estate: "A lovely memory"

Review by: SandP19 | Source: Trip Advisor
We will be talking about this wonderful tea estate and welcoming hotel for a very long time. The attention to one's every need, the delicious food, the delightful staff, the superb setting, the tea tour and treks are just some of the attractions of Glenburn. But don't take our words for it just go and experience it yourself ...

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Another world"

Review by: Stuart J | Source: Trip Advisor
Incredible concept to support the local economy. Wonderful and gracious service in one of the best settings on the lake. Food was plentiful and tasty. One hour boat ride from the jetty but fairly central to attractions on the lake.

The Island Lodge: "The Island Lodge is an Island Dream, in the coconut Kingdom"

Review by: Alizee S | Source: tripadvisor.com
My stay at the island lodge was awesome, the service, the area and the food are great. Don't hesitate to try the fusion cuisine, and enjoy the swimming pool area with a authentic via on the river mekong and its endless boat ballet, ride motorbike or bicycle in the coconut islands ... An home grown & authentic trip in the Mekong Delta!!!

Tugu Lombok: "Magical – Inspiring – Spiritual Almost."

Review by: Apeabe | Source: tripadvisor.com
"This was a trip we took with the family. One big room for my sisters and me and the rents in another. The place, from the minute you walk in you are greeted by kind staff, and the door grabs young transports you to another time! The little things like going in at night and preparing your room is just one of those things that make the trip extra special. By the second day they know how you like your tea, what your child wants, and how you take your eggs. If you are looking for a true eco-touristic place that is honest about what it presents, this is the place! There is so much more than a simple hotel! Its a true experience!"

Hotel Tugu Malang: "A warm feeling of excellence in hospitality!"

Review by: Marion_vdB | Source: Trip Advisor
"Selamat datang, traveller - you can rest now after your long journey as a member of the family. Let us take care of all you might wish, and just relax! Built in 1992,this luxury boutique hotel offers the pleasure of very spacious rooms with extremely comfortable beds arranged as a big (colonial) house around a nice garden with pool. After afternoon tea with the sumptuous specialities of the kitchen on a nice colonial garden terrace just next to the busy square, we were led to explore the house full of antiquities and art collection. The presidential suite is worth a detour. Next to the restaurant there is a cosy smoker's room(well ventilated) to enjoy cocktails, wine, whiskey and other liquids you might have missed.. We had dinner at another place, but surely the restaurant food will be great - we could savour it the next morning with the huge choice of breakfast - European, American, Chinese and local... Lots of healthy options as well. As to the staff: English speaking, they are there should you have any questions or wishes, always friendly and helpful!! Worth the detour, even from Jakarta! Terimah kasih!"

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magical stay"

Review by: Mariken v | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 2 nights at Tiger Mountain but it could have been much more. Superb stay from our first pick up and welcome to our goodbye. From Pokhara it is about 40 min drive up the mountain on a typical Nepali road but then you arrive in an tranquil oasis where you will only hear the birds. Lodge is located on a mountain with sweeping views over Pokhara valley on both sides. Rooms have amazing views towards the Himalayas, perfect for sunrise watching (they will serve coffee/tea and cookies at about 5.30 in your room to accompany the sunrise) Upon our arrival, the lunch table was set on the terrace with a view to the Himalayas and we were served delicious Nepali dishes. Tea was served in the afternoon with home made snacks. Followed by happy hour at 6 and diner around 7.30. Again with delicious Nepali dishes. Had amazing jackfruit curry, some sort of stir fried ferns, spinach dish, home made chutneys, water buffalo curries. I think I would have exploded after a week at the lodge as I had to finish everything. Quality of the food is fantastic, all organic, grown in the area, fresh and everything home made. Even the herbal tea came from their own garden. In the morning there was home made yoghurt with homemade muesli, homemade jams & preserves, honey from Pokhara, homemade bread. Yummy. The lodge offers guides to take you for walks according to your liking. We did a village walk around the hotel and the next day a ridge walk where we had beautiful views over the rice terraces, villages and Himalayas. The guide took us through villages and explained about village life. Staff at the lodge is fantastic: friendly, helpful and offering great service. There is a swimming pool with again magical views, certainly in the early morning you can see the Himalayas reflected in the water. It is a shame it is so far away from Hong Kong otherwise I would be back for a relaxing long weekend. And there is only wifi in the lobby (if it is working, this is Nepal) so relaxing is really good as you can't connect to the outside world! Show less Room Tip: Room 11, a triple room, at the end of the resort with uninterrupted views. Room 10, double room, abo... Stayed: April 2017, traveled with family"

Tugu Lombok: "AN AMAZING BEAUTIFUL FANTASY OF AN HOTEL!"

Review by: 49karenl | Source: Trip Advisor
"There is no other words to describe The Tugu other than magical, fantasy and beautiful. This is without doubt the most unusual hotel I have ever stayed at and i've been in the industry since 1978 so I have been to a LOT of hotels! The Tugu is one of the most sublime, comfortable, luxurious but not pretentious hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Everything is done with the guests comfort and pleasure in mind. We stayed in the most wonderful suite (room 103) which is situated facing out onto the beach but I shan't give more details of this wonderful room as I do not want to spoil others pleasure of surprise when they arrive at these rooms to stay in the future. All I would say is the supplement is worth every penny. The bed is the MOST COMFORTABLE of any hotel anywhere! Indeed it was the main subject of conversation throughout the hotel between guests - they literally hug and love you! Breakfast is outstanding - choose anything and as much as you require from the breakfast menu at anytime of the day! Wonderful and relaxing with many many special homemade and original items to enjoy. Lunch and Dinner is excellent and can be enjoyed ANYWHERE within the hotel grounds without any of the ridiculous supplements that so many hotels charge for this. The grounds and buildings - words cannot do justice you will just have to come and see the wonder of an hotel for yourself. The gardens are stunning, the spa a miniture in the style of Borobodur that's without the two restaurant buildings. This hotel in case you had not guessed is very very special....................... But only to those who seek peace, tranquility and comfort. If nightlife and constant daytime noise and activities are your thing this won't be! In concludsion, Hanny the Manager and her entire team of staff have actually got EVERYTHING right, which is so rare. Highly commended for a really enjoyable stay."
